Where do we start with this great chalet? First of all, the views from the balcony are fantastic. There’s a garden with a hammock and a hot tub, too – perfect for relaxing in. Inside, there’s more to keep everyone entertained including a games room and home cinema – there's also a wine cellar. We should mention that one of the twin bedrooms is on the mezzanine floor and has sloping ceilings so it's probably more suited for children. There’s also a sauna to unwind in after a day of skiing. Speaking of which – there’s a ski bus almost on your doorstep, and the piste is just 1 kilometre away.

With the ski lift only 200 meters away, this bright and cosy cabin apartment in Les Gets is a dream location for a family holiday on the slopes. If you love nature, you'll love this brand-new chalet located in quiet Nantaux. We adore this stylish home's picturesque setting. Admire the alpine plants, meadows and pine trees that surround the abode or relax on one of the wooden balconies. Our favourite spot has to be the swing chair – the view of the Alps are fabulous from both outside as well as inside. The large windows allow plenty of natural light – it really is a space you'll want to spend time in with your family or friends. When the alpine weather turns chilly, gather around the log burner with a glass of Génépi herbal liqueur.

This pretty village is perched on a south-facing hillside at an altitude of around 1200 metres, and it's 6 kilometres from Morzine. Col de l'Encrenaz, on the other hand, is 5 kilometres away – here you'll find many hikes like the "Tour du Roc d'Enfer" as well as snowshoeing and ski touring tracks. Alternatively, in the Summer, you can do some paragliding or mountain biking.

Snow Front is a home for those who want more than just a comfortable place to crash for the night. To say it's inspiring doesn't truly do it justice, as this chalet is filled with gorgeous nooks where you can hide away from the world and watch the snowy landscape, or reconnect with your loved ones while warming up by the wood-burning stove. The variety of things to do in the village might keep you outdoors during the day, but warming up in the hot tub after a long day of skiing is an exquisite feeling, comparable only to the morning views from the balcony. The designated cook among you will have tons of fun in the well-equipped kitchen, and when the meal is ready, the whole tribe can dine together in the rustic dining area with more lovely views.

Located close to the centre of Les Gets, we defy anybody not to be impressed by this penthouse apartment that combines rustic charm and contemporary flourishes with aplomb.

Given the rather beautiful landscape around these parts, the architect has made the sensible decision to include as many windows and glass doors in the main living space as possible, which also has the added benefit of bringing in ample amount of natural light. During the winter months, you'll love gazing out at the mountain scenery with the fireplace crackling away beside you, but if the weather is a little warmer, you can opt instead to make use of the balcony terrace instead.

When it comes to the design, you can spot many typically Alpine aspects, like the wood finishes and stone floors, but there are a wealth of modern touches in the shape of bold artworks, chic furnishings and the deliciously minimalist kitchen. There's certainly some Scandi influence to be detected in the furniture, but the most Nordic feature of all has to be the three-person sauna that is sure to be a blessing after a long day out on the slopes.

In Les Gets, you'll find a few restaurants and bars to keep you refreshed, as well as a museum dedicated to mechanical musical instruments. There’s a great outdoor seating area for alfresco dining in the summer months, while the living room provides the perfect spot for cosy evenings by the fire. And while this all sounds like a match made in heaven for adults, there’s also plenty to keep little ones entertained. You will need a car to get around here, but it’s just a short drive to the chairlift at Morillon, while the resort of Samoens is also within easy reach.

With a heated boot room and ski storage, you'll have space to stash your gear after a long day on the mountain. The hammam is ideal for warming up and relaxing sore muscles, while the panoramic balcony offers the perfect spot to enjoy a mug of hot cocoa in the shadow of Mont Blanc. Inside, the design is exactly what you would expect from a mountain retreat – lots of exposed wood and cosy furnishings. With bunk beds and board games, we think it suits families keen to explore the French Alps and the great outdoors.

Known for its beginner-friendly slopes and stunning Swiss Alps scenery, it's no surprise that Villars-sur-Ollon is a popular destination for families. Whether you're after excellent hiking in the summer, fantastic skiing in the winter or just a relaxing getaway in the mountains, there's something for everyone here, especially with the gondola a twelve-minute walk away, a free ski shuttle service and the restaurants and shops in town only six minutes by car.

This cosy chalet shows off the idyllic views in every direction and makes an ideal base for anyone exploring the region. You'll feel right at home in this rustic hideaway, with the open-hearth fireplace, squishy sofas and wooden panelling creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place to kick off your snow boots and unwind with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book.

Our favourite spot to soak up the sunshine (and the scenery) is the deck off the main bedroom. Enjoy a cup of coffee there in the morning before rustling up breakfast in the kitchen, then grab your skis and snowboards and hit the slopes. When your toes feel frosty and your muscles are sore, head back home to a roaring fire and some delicious cheese fondue around the oak dining table before snuggling up for a family movie night in the lounge.

This cosy chalet, with its own private garden and dining area, is the perfect getaway for both summer and winter holidays in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Start each morning with a cup of coffee alfresco as the crisp, fresh air wakes you up and gets you ready for a day full of adventures. Located just nine minutes away from the nearest ski resort, you can grab your equipment from the home’s dedicated ski storage room and be hitting the slopes in no time.

Why not explore the beautiful central Chamonix – a short ten-minute drive away or head to Le Bossons Glacier, reachable by car within thirteen minutes, and enjoy the breath-taking beauty of the views on offer? For more adventurous activities, tree-top climbing and a rock climbing crag in Lac des Gaillards are both only five minutes away by car, while horse riding is also on offer and can be reached in eleven minutes from this home. 

In the evening, we would love nothing more than to snuggle up in the warmth of this cabin and admire the snowy mountain views outside. Or, curl up on the sofa with a good book from the bookcase. 

Glacé Glaciers

This stylish little studio apartment is right in the heart of historic Annecy. From your doorstep, you can step out into streets lined with wooden-shuttered buildings, where cafés spill out onto the pavement. An alpine town, Annecy is flanked by snow-capped mountains and perhaps the most picturesque spot is the stone Palais in the centre of the Le Thiou River – the view of which is best enjoyed from the riverside restaurants and gelaterias, a five-minute walk from this apartment. Although it’s a studio, the apartment itself feels spacious and it has plenty of character courtesy of the exposed brick wall and hardwood floor. A wall of windows lets in plenty of sunshine during the day and a room divider separates the living and bedroom area from the dine-in kitchen. There’s even a stylish, Scandinavian-esque desk if you want to work remotely. If you want to get around the compact town of Annecy in a flash, your host provides complimentary bikes for sightseeing.
