We love the typical French Juliet balconies to either side of the living room and in the bedroom – perfect for opening the whole place up for some fresh air in the summer. There are some quirky touches in the bedroom, with green palm trees breaking up the blue. And the bathroom (you guessed, it's blue) is modern and luxurious. Step outside and you're right in the city's most commercial district, with bars, shops and restaurants all around. Particularly well-placed if you feel like exploring by bike, it's close to the Rhône and its quays.

Freshen up in the sleek bathroom before venturing out again to make the most of Lyon's vibrant foodie scene, or prepare something homemade in that well-equipped kitchen over a glass or two of wine.
