Step inside and it doesn’t disappoint – classic features jump out at you from every angle. Original floorboards peek out from underneath stylish rugs, feature fireplaces delight in many of the rooms, with beautiful wainscoting finishing off the overall look. If your idea of an afternoon well-spent is getting lost in a book, the library on the top floor is sure to be your idea of bliss.

Fleur De Lis is a holiday fit for even the most discerning guests, starting with a lavish tree-lined driveway that will transport you straight to the seventeenth century. As you travel, you might notice a rather large pool (all yours) where you can practise your backstroke, work on your tan, or walk right past it on your morning stroll across the estate. Depending on how you feel, you can take your meals in the regal dining room, which will involve dressing up appropriately, or you can go the informal route, dining alfresco in the gardens. There are simply so many things to do in this home, from admiring the antiques, playing tennis in the courts, watching period dramas in the appropriate setting, or even going down to the nearby sandy beach. For day trips, we recommend that you head off to see Mont St Michel, which is easily accessible via the motorway, as is the Bayeux Tapestry.

The village of Créances is on the edge of the Cotentin and Bessin marshes regional park, a beautiful landscape of wetlands and windswept dunes. You're also just a short drive from Pritania beach. Enjoy a picnic on the sand, then drive into Coutances to admire the Gothic cathedral. Back at your home, light up the barbecue as the sun goes down and enjoy a meal outside.

Almost 400 years after it was first built, and Lord of the Pines is still wowing guests. You may be pulling up the drive by car rather than horse-drawn carriage, but the magic remains the same; perhaps literally, as there’s a tree on the property that’s rumoured to be enchanted. Regardless of any magic trees, this château will quickly cast its spell over you; antique furniture and all the mod cons sit amongst beautifully restored interior furniture, while the sprawling grounds are home to ancient stone crosses, sun-dappled woodland, and even a tennis court. The home’s guardian is on hand to whip up some gourmet meals, there are complimentary bikes to take a tour of the surrounding area and even a library hidden away in the tower. When can we move in? 

Lord of the Pines

This coastal home is located in a rural spot, whilst also offering a ton of activities for the family. Whether you choose to gather for a meal at the sunlit dining table indoors or tuck into an alfresco dish on the patio, there's plenty of room to spend some quality time with your loved ones. This home gets a gorgeous amount of daylight through the windows, lighting up the space to accompany you as you spend the afternoon relaxing around the house. Put your feet up as you watch TV or have a duvet day while you dive into a new book.

The beach is only a short walk away from the property, as the coastline stretches far past home – the perfect backdrop for an energising run or power walk. Within fifteen–minutes you'll come across some delicious eateries, as well as a nearby bakery and even a cafe to sip on some freshly brewed coffee with a sweet slice of cake. This destination is a pleasant change from the usual hustle and bustle of Paris, giving you the chance to see the more rural side of France.

After spending the day at the beach, head home to cook up a meal on the outdoor barbeque and while away the hours in the verdant garden under the glow of the evening sky – listen to the serene silence as the day draws to a close.

You'll be within easy reach of the Normandy cider routes from here, so soak up the slow pace of life found in the charming local villages, which are most often home to atmospheric markets boasting fine quality fresh fare. Within short driving distance, the likes of Bayeux, Caen and the D-Day Landing beaches are well worth a visit if you're keen to explore Normandy's cultural and historical sights amongst its captivating natural beauty.

This is a modern, cosy 4-room property located in the residential district of Bretteville sur Ay, just 150m away from the beach. The house can accommodate up to 6 guests and features modern furnishings. The living/dining room is equipped with satellite TV and has direct access to the terrace. There is a fully equipped open kitchen with a small dining table that leads out to the garden. The upper floor has two bedrooms with sloping ceilings and rooflight, one with a French bed (160 cm) and another with two beds. There is also an open gallery on this floor. The house comes with a washing machine, dryer, children's high chair and baby cot. Guests can enjoy the outdoor space on the terrace which comes equipped with terrace furniture, portable barbecue and deck chairs. One pet/dog is allowed per stay.
