On your street, you’ve got classic French bistros with seating spilling out onto the pavement under awnings and chi chi little gallery shops. Positioned on an internal courtyard, this apartment is a haven of calm in the city. Everything inside is crisp white and raw wood with fawn and stone touches. This chic apartment is in a fabulous location in Le Marais. It’s tucked away in a private courtyard, so it’s a peaceful haven within the city – the perfect place to return to after busy days and nights soaking up all that Paris has to offer. 

The apartment is elegant yet comfortable, with everything you might need for your stay. Wake up to light streaming through the windows and begin your day with a coffee in the living room. Perhaps you’ll stroll fifteen minutes to Notre Dame and admire the architecture? Or maybe you’ll spend the day in the galleries and museums, then join the locals on Ile St Louis in the evening. Take a picnic and sit along the bank of the river listening to musicians – it’s only a six-minute walk away. 

The Saint-Paul metro stop is a two-minute walk from the front door, so you can easily explore further afield. When you return, dine in one of the many restaurants nearby before heading up to the peaceful apartment on the fifth floor – you’ll rest easy here.

Though two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the TV room, we think you'll find it a comfortable, albeit fuss-free, place to call home.

Known for its vital role in the French Revolution, Bastille and the surrounding neighbourhood has plenty to offer, even if you're not keen on history. From lively jazz bars and the Opéra Bastille to bohemian boutiques and Marché d'Aligre, this pocket of Paris has something for everyone. And it's where you'll find this stylish apartment, just a five-minute walk from the July Column, twenty from Notre Dame and surrounded by a slew of chic cafes, trendy wine bars and delicious eateries.

Come home after a long day and sprawl out on the sofa, nibbling on French cheese, fresh-baked bread and sharing a bottle of wine picked up from the market. We love the exposed brick in the kitchen, the skylights in the bathroom and the soft, modern furnishings. The style is minimal, the living space bright, and the bedroom super comfortable. This flat may be on the smaller side, but we think it'll do nicely for solo travellers and couples wanting to stay in the centre of the action.

There are lots of other attractions within walking distance – just a few we can mention include the Pompidou Centre and the Musée National Picasso-Paris. So, the location is fantastic – what about the apartment itself? Well, it overlooks the communal courtyard, and there’s an open-plan living space which also sleeps guests three and four on a sofa bed. We also love the bathroom with its separate shower and freestanding bath – the perfect place to relax after a busy day in Paris.

Once the residence of King Charles VI’s mistress Marie Touchet, this is a truly spectacular home from our Paris collection. Wake from your glamorous master bedroom and peer out over the Place des Vosges from your Juliet balcony. To stay in a historic Renaissance building in an elegant square in the heart of the Marais is a rare gift. Just under a twenty-minute walk from the Notre Dame and only fourteen minutes (on foot) from the Bastille, this location is not only affluent, but it's also right in the middle of the city. Back to the home, the hosts entrusted the refurbishment to the famous interior designer Jacques Grange, who has made the place into a real monument. Between the chandeliers, the antique furniture, and the beautifully preserved original structures, you’re unlikely to find a more luxurious apartment. Choose between a rustic and warming living room with 200-year-old ceiling beams, vintage rugs and quirky wallpaper prints or an opulent, pearly-white living room with grand wall mouldings and a glass-topped coffee table. Elsewhere, the bedrooms are a continuation of the sophistication and refinement found in the communal areas – all three bedrooms are accompanied by stunning en-suite bathrooms, two of which offer swanky bathtubs while the other is a marble-clad masterpiece. Indeed, this entire apartment is nothing short of a Monet masterpiece itself.

While only four minutes from the Bréguet-Sabin metro, arriving at this location feels like a secret garden, with lush foliage leading up to your front door. Inside, a generous living space is bathed in natural light from large French windows. And the innovative use of glass partitions for the kitchen and bedroom keep the layout modern and spacious, yet very stylish. With touches of both mid-century charm and industrial utilitarianism, the result is a fresh but cosy decor. Our favourite piece has to be the feature wall of quirky animal portraits (maybe your furry friend could join in?). Outside, if you’re looking for landmarks, you’ll be spoilt for choice between two exceptionally famous squares. The Place de la Bastille is a four-minute walk, and the Place des Vosges is six. The latter is also home to an important attraction for fans of French literature – the Maison de Victor Hugo. Less than 2km away, we recommend making the trendy Canal Saint-Martin your top spot for drinking and dining. Street food and waterside cocktails are definitely on the menu.

A stone's throw from the iconic Bastille, this charming apartment offers effortless Parisian style. Housed within a beautiful building showcasing typical Haussmannian architecture, you can expect the quintessential big windows, stone facade, and running balcony synonymous with the style. Speaking of the balcony, this is the perfect spot to enjoy the cool breeze in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand, and it offers gorgeous views of the River Seine.

Being so centrally located, you really do have your pick of popular Paris districts. The Opéra Bastille is close by, where theatre buffs can take a backstage tour and catch a show in the evenings. This area truly is a music lover's paradise, offering an array of glitzy jazz clubs. Head out for the evening to enjoy the blues and a few cocktails. 

If you're leaning more towards a night in, however, you won't be disappointed. The American-style kitchen is well-equipped for whipping up all of your favourite foods, which can be enjoyed around the spacious dining table. Post-dinner, share a bottle of wine on the sofa and enjoy the sight of the sun setting over the most romantic city in the world.

The impeccable location of this unusual home is what first caught our eye. It’s on a beloved street just a stone’s throw from Place des Vosges, in the heart of the Marais. Shops, bars, and restaurants abound here, as well as some of the best boulangeries in Paris. You’ll be in the thick of things, just a ten-minute walk from beautiful Île Saint-Louis and the Notre-Dame. The apartment has a few quirks, with the bedroom accessible via a steep, open staircase, and the kitchen in the same space. Downstairs, there’s a cosy stone-walled living room, where guests three and four will sleep. Privacy is limited, but we can forgive that for such a great location.

A six-minute walk from Saint-Paul metro station, Le Village Saint-Paul certainly lives up to its name. While it’s set in the central 4th arrondissement, there’s a tranquil, village-like feel to this small region – but with a huge personality. From baroque churches to hip restaurants, history and modernity combine to create a unique place, as does this striking duplex apartment.

In a 17th-century townhouse three minutes from the banks of the Seine, your life is about to become a Parisian movie (not just because this building has been used as a filming location). After ascending the grand staircase, your hand gliding up the wrought-iron railings, step into scenes of pure creativity and originality. 

Something between a cottage, apartment, and palace, this home really knows how to impress. We were immediately struck by the rustic timber beams, to match glossy wooden floors and a charmingly creaky spiral staircase. Shelves upon shelves of the host’s books line the walls, while vintage motorbikes sit alongside. And to add glamour to this eclectic mix, a glistening chandelier sparkles above. As you head to the second floor, the country-like feel of this village comes to life through distressed furniture, more huge beams, and cosy bedrooms in the eaves. Bohemian Paris at its finest.
