One of Paris' most famous landmarks is your neighbour at this central apartment. Notre Dame is only a short walk away, but next door is the Church of Saint-Séverin. It may not be as iconic as its neighbour but it’s just as beautiful – and you'll be treated to panoramas of the gothic architecture from the living room windows. View aside, we love the space on offer here, even if the second bedroom is a tad snug and two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. The contemporary finishes are a nice touch, too. There's a soaker bath, a sleek kitchen, and even air conditioning – no wonder it caught our eye.

Soak up the bohemian spirit of Paris in this cosy Marais apartment. Le Marais has more pre-revolutionary buildings left intact than any other area in Paris. It’s full of winding streets lined with boutiques, bakeries, and art galleries. There are countless eateries to choose from, but if you prefer to dine in, this apartment has a fully equipped kitchen. It’s a charming home-from-home – you can look forward to exposed stone walls and wooden beams combined with a designer sofa and a silk Persian rug. Two guests can sleep on the mezzanine level if they don’t mind the low ceiling – otherwise, the sofa bed is plenty comfortable.

Situated on Île Saint-Louis, this apartment is a striking distance from Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter, and the Seine. We love how much sunlight there is here, and the contemporary decor meshes perfectly with the original character features. Nestled in the heart of l'Île St Louis and tucked away in a quiet courtyard lies this kooky abode. Sprawling across three floors with a quaint courtyard, there's something truly relaxing about this hidden-away home. Although the distribution with a bedroom in the basement may not be to everyone's taste, the conservatory-style kitchen is the jewel in this home's crown - large enough to both cook and entertain.

In vibrant Saint-Germain, this serviced apartment is a perfect fit for a fuss-free stay. For starters, the location is excellent. This neighbourhood has something for everyone – independent shops, gourmet eateries, postcard-pretty sidewalk cafes. It's also a short walk from some of the city's most famous landmarks, including the Louvre and Notre Dame. Though it's not the biggest – especially when the sofa bed is in use – the design perfectly blends contemporary with charm. We love the green accents and the characterful wooden beams. Daily maid service is also a huge perk – no wonder it caught our eye.

It's a proper step into the past, awash with exposed beams, rustic antiques and vintage oak carved cabinets. From the velvet sofa to the canopy bed, there's a real sense of heritage here that we fell in love with at first sight. Outside, you have two roomy terraces to choose from (one for breakfasts, another for evening cocktails as the sunsets over the rooftops), and there's even a working fireplace for those chilly winter nights. But there's plenty of modern conveniences too, including skylights, a maid service, speakers in every room and a luxe master bathroom with gold finishes. Situated on the Île Saint-Louis – an island in the heart of the Seine considered one of Paris' most desirable postcodes – you're just an eight-minute walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. Utterly romantic and endlessly charming, it's not uncommon to hear accordion music drifting down the streets lined with shops, cafes, restaurants and crêperies. You couldn't hope for a more authentic spot to experience the magic of Paris.

From lively jazz bars and the Opéra Bastille to bohemian boutiques and Marché d'Aligre, this pocket of Paris has something for everyone. And it's where you'll find this stylish apartment, just a five-minute walk from the July Column, twenty from Notre Dame and surrounded by a slew of chic cafes, trendy wine bars and delicious eateries.

Come home after a long day and sprawl out on the sofa, nibbling on French cheese, fresh-baked bread and sharing a bottle of wine picked up from the market. We love the exposed brick in the kitchen, the skylights in the bathroom and the soft, modern furnishings. The style is minimal, the living space bright, and the bedroom super comfortable. Located in the heart of the bustling Latin quarter, you'll be in the thick of it all here - and Notre Dame is just 250 metres away. Follow the banks of the beautiful River Seine and not only will you wind up at the Musée d'Orsay but you can't miss the iconic Musée du Louvre and its neighbouring Tuileries Gardens – all within fifteen minutes walking distance from your Latin Quarter abode. Back at the home itself prepare to feel energised by the fresh interiors featuring tasteful pops of colour seen in the orange sofa, and vibrant artwork dotted throughout. We particularly love the retro-modern and Scandinavian style furnishings here as the vibe is kept calm whilst remaining fun at the same time. Gather in the living room and turn on a French electro-pop playlist to liven up the mood – you're on holiday after all. With jazz clubs galore in this neighbourhood, put your dancing shoes on and head out for a night on the town. Even though la discoteque and an array of lively bars await just five minutes away, you surprisingly won't hear much noise back at home (with the windows closed), so you're bound to get that much needed good night's sleep after giving all your energy to the city of lights.

The beautifully manicured Luxembourg Gardens are a three-minute walk away, the historic Latin Quarter is a seven-minute stroll and the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral is thirteen minutes away on foot.

Once the restaurants clear out at night, the streets of this little village in the heart of Paris, fall quiet and a late stroll down the main street gives the feeling of having stepped into an Impressionist painting. When you stay at this apartment in the 5th arrondissement, you'll be only a few metres away from the Jardin du Luxembourg, Panthéon and Sorbonne University. Also nearby is the Rue Mouffetard, with various restaurants, shops, cafés, and a permanent open market. This spacious home, situated on the ground floor, and accessed directly from the street, is ideal for a family, friends or business travellers. Bear in mind, though, that there's only one bathroom for six guests at full capacity.

If you love nothing more than a stroll around beautiful gardens, this apartment in the 6th arrondissement could be the one you’re looking for. After all, the Jardin du Luxembourg is just a stone’s throw away. Or drink in the atmosphere of this home’s location in Odéon from the balcony with views of the street below. The characterful accommodation is spread over two floors linked by a narrow spiral staircase. This is a lively area, so don't expect complete peace and quiet. But for couples and solo travellers who want to be near to arts and culture, it's more than ideal.

Situated on the little island between Le Marais and Notre Dame de Paris, this home is far away from the hustle and bustle of Paris, but still accessible enough, giving you the best of both worlds. It also means that the immediate area – known for having been an aristocratic area in the 19th century – has a particular small-town charm that makes sitting outside a cafe with a cappuccino feel special. Stroll the avenues looking for the perfect spot for a holiday selfie before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many authentic eateries of the neighbourhood.

Not only is it located on one of Paris’ top five best streets, but it’s also ideal for sightseeing on foot—the Notre Dame and the Marais are within a ten minute mosey, while a walk to the Latin Quarter will take you just under twenty minutes. Inside, the mix-match antique furniture looks effortlessly curated and we loved the collection of exotic figurines and masks; we could have spent hours poring over each artefact. After the great location, our favourite feature is the vast amount of sunlight that floods into every room, making this home the ultimate spirit lifter. Pull open the windows and watch riverboats cruise by as you consider extending your stay just that little bit longer.

Situated on the Quai des Grands Augustins, opposite the Île de la Cité, you’ll be a short stroll from the Notre Dame Cathedral when you stay at this architect-designed apartment. The Sainte Chapelle is also a short distance away, along with plenty of cafes and restaurants. The home itself is elegantly decorated and the open-plan living space sleeps two guests at full capacity and both bedrooms have marble en-suites. This place is a perfect option for a vacation with family or friends.

At full occupancy, two people will draw the short straw and sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, but the extra bed space makes it ideal for larger groups. Locally, Luxembourg Gardens is a short walk away, or cross the Seine to explore the Île de la Cité, the true heart of Paris.

There's almost a loft vibe to this home with its spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine double bedroom, and there's lots of natural light coming into the main communal area. You're only a short walk away from the banks of the Seine as well as Notre Dame on the Île de la Cité.

Colourful and cosy, this compact apartment could not be better located. It's situated in the vibrant Saint-Germain district, just a stone's throw from Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Seine. The kitchen isn't the biggest, but you'll find plenty of cafes, bistros, and brasseries in the local area where you can whet your appetite. You'll find two comfortable bedrooms here, including one with an en-suite, as well as a sofa bed for guests five and six. Daily cleaning is also included – that's all our boxes ticked.

You’ll have your pick of restaurants, boulangeries, and bars, and Shakespeare and Company – one of the most beloved bookshops in the world – is just a stone’s throw away. The apartment has been charmingly decorated with bold splashes of colour and quirky details juxtaposed with traditional features like exposed beams. It’s a real home-from-home, the kind of space you can relax in during a busy city break. We especially love the pretty open kitchen – it wouldn’t be out of place in Barbie’s Dreamhouse.

In an art nouveau building located in the latin quarter, you can find this light and bright home that ticks every box. The large windows are luminous, drenching each room in light, as well as offering stunning views of the Eiffel tower. Decorated in a Scandi-style, the rooms are minimal and pared-back, yet cosy and warm – a delight after a day's exploration. The kitchen is well-equipped, ideal to cook up a storm, but there's only a small counter to enjoy dinner at, so a better choice for those who want to eat out. 

The Gilt Petal

Awash with colour, this cosy Parisian apartment certainly packs a punch. Perfect for a family or group of friends on a French getaway, it’s worth noting that two people will sleep on the sofa bed here. And, while there’s a lift to reach this third-floor home, it only carries one person at a time – so if you’re able, you may prefer to use the stairs. There’s no air conditioning here, but with Luxembourg Gardens and the River Seine within easy reach, a stroll in the fresh air to take in the sights is likely to be high on your to-do list.

Located in one of Paris' oldest neighbourhoods, Monnaie, this traditional apartment promises an authentic stay in the historic city of lights. Located on the left bank of the Seine, it's a haven away from the hustle and bustle and yet many of the top cultural landmarks are all easily reachable on foot. 

We particularly love the original wood beams, sloped ceilings and Juliet balconies that hark out Parisian design and flair. The centrepiece of this characterful home is the grand piano at the far end of the open-plan living area – besides it, you'll find a lovely spot for a sing-along or a quiet moment's downtime while gazing out across the rooftops and soaking up the calm atmosphere. Gather the group for breakfast in the elegant dining area, with croissants and cups of coffee being passed around. There's even a light-filled desk space upstairs and a cosy reading nook for those who are keeping one eye on work or who are after a gentler start to the day. 

When you're ready and raring to hit the streets, the surrounding neighbourhood is an artsy area, loved by locals and tourists alike for its galleries, museums and upscale jewellery stores. When you've worked up an appetite, you'll find many of the restaurants and bars offer gorgeous river views for special outdoor meals together.

A cosy apartment down a quiet cobblestoned alley in the Fifth Arrondissement, within a two-minute stroll of the lively market street of Rue Mouffetard. 'La Mouf' is the oldest street in Paris, and on weekends you'll find locals haggling over fresh produce. On Sundays, everyone flocks to the square at the southern end of the street, where locals gather to dance and sing accompanied by the accordion – it's an experience not to be missed. The apartment's living space in warm earthy tones will make you feel instantly at home, while the bold lime green kitchen is sure to add some zest to any homemade dishes. If you love a little colour, you'll appreciate this home and the host's attentive care goes above and beyond.

The Pomegranate & Lemon

Cosy and comfortable, this apartment in Paris' Latin Quarter is a fuss-free option for couples. It's set on the ground level, meaning you'll have a private entrance and a living area filled with light – though the windows do look straight onto the street. The sofa bed keeps sleeping arrangements flexible, but we think it's best for two as the only bathroom here is en-suite. Location-wise, you're just steps from shops, restaurants, and the metro, while Luxembourg Gardens, the bohemian bookstores in the Latin Quarter, and many other landmarks are just a short walk away.

Pestalozzi Pizzazz

Nestled in the historic Latin Quarter, this home is excellently located for exploring. Walk five minutes in one direction and you'll reach the spires of Notre Dame, while nine minutes the opposite way lies the leafy Luxembourg Gardens. Charming bookstores, local eateries and cosy cafes abound in this neighbourhood, so if living like a true Parisian is what you're after, you can't go wrong with this postcode. Inside, it's minimally decorated with Scandinavian-inspired pieces – think clean, uncluttered living spaces and classic, contemporary design. We adored the large windows and their quintessential Juliet balconies – although there's nowhere to sit on them, you can still throw open the French doors and watch the city pass by on the streets below. The kitchen is a little tiny – we think it's better suited towards light meals and smaller bites – and there's only one bathroom, but otherwise, this fantastically-placed pad is a great option for small groups or families wanting a typical Paris getaway.

The Two Stars

This chic apartment is nestled in the heart of Paris, just a few steps from the Place des Vosges. With Le Marais' trendy eateries nearby and easy transport links to the rest of the city, it makes a fantastic base for your adventures. We're big fans of the interiors, which merges contemporary design with classic character. The large French windows flood the living area with sunlight, making it feel bright and breezy. Though two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the TV room, we think you'll find it a comfortable, albeit fuss-free, place to call home.

Whether you’re visiting Paris for business or leisure, this charming apartment on the Left Bank promises a serene stay.
