Inside, soft, flowing fabrics and thick velvet upholstery create a calming vibe in the living space, with pale peach, cream, and pink decor adding to this zen-like atmosphere. The home has a somewhat unique layout, with a stone courtyard in the centre of the horseshoe-shaped flat. It’s a peaceful spot with a Mediterranean feel, which we think would be ideal for a morning espresso. If you’re looking for an even greener space, the Pigalle metro is a four-minute walk away, so you can reach the lush Jardin des Tuileries in just fifteen minutes.

South Pigalle is a lively and artsy enclave nestled between Opéra and Montmartre. With metro stations nearby and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, it makes an excellent base for both seasoned visitors and first-time tourists. The apartment itself is also a chic place to call home. We love the amount of light in the living area, as well as the character features like arched windows and herringbone floors. Just keep in mind that two guests will sleep on a sofa bed – a worthwhile compromise, given the central location.

This apartment is a convenient base for two in a lively part of Paris. It’s in Pigalle, a real hub for culture – the Théâtre de l’Opéra Garnier and Galeries Layfayette Haussmann are both nearby. Nestled high in a newly renovated building, the tradition has been captivated and restored. Our favourite spot is the window seat. For early risers, this is the place to settle with a cup of coffee, watching as the world stirs to life below.

Step inside and you'll find modern, calming shades of white, grey and pink, made all the more sophisticated thanks to a striking herringbone floor and a trio of period windows that look out over the rooftops.

Furnished with stylish, contemporary pieces and a lot of cleverly built-in storage, it's as practical as it is attractive. You'll have a small but perfectly formed kitchen, with everything you'll need for cooking at home, a breakfast bar and a cosy sofa. A room divider separates this living space from the bedroom and there's a desk so you can get some work done in comfort. And we love the marble bathroom with its big Italian shower.

Best of all, this home is in one of our favourite parts of the city. Vibrant and authentic, there are cafes and restaurants right on your doorstep, plus it's just a five-minute walk from Pigalle and ten from the Butte Montmartre.

At the foot of Montmartre, among a buzz of bars and sex shops, this boulevard is home to an incredibly luxurious hotel-like stay in Paris. On the eighth floor of a hotel building, this apartment is high up enough to be out of earshot of the exciting neighbourhood below, as well as high enough to see jaw-dropping views. From your private balcony and huge windows, admire sweeping 270-degree views of the city, including the Eiffel Tower itself. There’s such a vintage Pigalle feel to this home, with mid-century furnishings and a sexy vibe with black decor. Quirky artwork such as a lobster’s skeleton set in glass might sound odd, but everything works in harmony here to create the epitome of bohemian, sophisticated, Parisian chic. After a pain aux raisins and a café au lait, head ten minutes to the Sacré-Cœur, via winding slopes of Montmartre's uniquely artsy streets. Later (after a few cocktails), check out a gig at La Cigale or a show at the Moulin Rouge just two minutes away. And with metro stops all along the street (the closest being a one-minute walk), you don’t even need to stay local. While it can accommodate up to four guests with two on the sofa bed in the living room, we think it may feel a bit snug. That being said, for a small group of friends or a family looking to enjoy all that Paris has to offer, this is a great option with tonnes to see and do right outside your door.

An eclectic home in the heart of South Pigalle, with a mix of modern and vintage furniture and rustic beams to boot. Although there's quite a climb to get there without any lift, the views out of the six-storey windows, especially the glimpse of the Sacre Coeur are well worth the effort. Our favourite room is the living room, bright and trendy oozing style and character, a lovely spot to hang out after a day's exploration.
