The living space is light and bright thanks to French doors leading to a Juliet balcony – this room also has a sofa bed for guests seven and eight. We love that each bedroom has an en-suite and two have a desk – perfect for when you need to work while away.

Simplicity at its finest, this apartment makes a fantastic base in Paris. You'll find it in bohemian Saint-Germain-des-Prés, only 700 metres from Luxembourg Gardens and close to local shops and restaurants. One of the major highlights of this home, we’d say, is the stunning views over the rooftops of the Latin Quarter. You can see iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Hôtel National des Invalides. The large, stylish open-plan living space also sleeps two guests on a sofa bed at full occupancy. Location-wise, well, it’s great. The home has an address in the 6th arrondissement, a short walk from Luxembourg Garden. Hôtel National des Invalides is around twenty minutes on foot, and there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep.

Plentiful transport options make exploring the rest of Paris a breeze. The apartment is perfect for a city break; it’s a calm, tranquil space to return to in between visiting galleries and museums. It's worth pointing out that the apartment is on the fourth floor and there's no lift, so it may not be suitable for everyone.

With an address in the sought-after 6th arrondissement, this studio apartment is just over a ten-minute walk from the Luxembourg Garden. Or if you prefer some shopping, Bon Marché is just steps away, and there are plenty of eateries in the area. There’s no oven in this home’s kitchenette, so having restaurants nearby is welcome. This place is compact, but it’s a more homely alternative to a hotel suite for a couple, solo traveller or business professional. All in all, it’s an ideal, comfy base for exploring all that the Latin Quarter has to offer.

The Colour of Autumn

A minute's walk from Paris' much-loved Luxembourg Gardens, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more desirable address anywhere in the city. These formal gardens are the largest in the city and attract locals with the promise of chess, tennis, basketball, pony rides, pétanque courts, and even the city's largest puppet theatre – a true haven for families.

In addition to the gardens, there are plenty of quaint cafes and iconic eateries within a short walk. Standout options include Bread & Roses for the best quiche in Paris (just across the road), long-running coffeehouse and celebrity haunt Café de Flore, and iconic brasserie Les Deux Magots – both a ten-minute walk away. 

Step inside the apartment and you'll find the second bedroom and a bathroom on the entrance level, with the majority of the apartment up a flight of stairs. While the downstairs bedroom is fairly classic in design, the first floor is full of little hints about your hosts at every turn, from the leopard print dining chairs to the tiger-striped sofa and the cheetah-spotted throw pillows in the main bedroom, their love of the African savannah is immediately obvious. The rest we'll just leave you to piece together, though we think we spied a ceramic Elvis somewhere on the shelves.

A Leopard Never Changes Its Spots

This apartment offers a stylish retreat in the heart of the 6th arrondissement. Outside, it’s a short walk through the historic streets to the picturesque Jardin du Luxembourg. Or, stroll into the Latin Quarter and you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to local restaurants, cafes and shops. It’s worth noting the apartment is on the third floor with no lift access, but once inside, you’ll find all the essentials you could need to relax and unwind. There’s a record player, a sound system, and a dedicated desk for remote workers. Just note that a sofa bed in the living room sleeps one guest.


The Genevieve

You'll find this ground-floor apartment in Montparnasse. A short walk away is the area's famous skyscraper, where far-reaching views of the Eiffel Tower await. Prefer to stay on the ground? Wander fifteen minutes to Luxembourg Garden or hop on the nearby metro and cruise across the city. Back home, you'll enjoy a small but practical terrace that's perfect for alfresco coffees and cocktails. The living space has a cosy banquette dining area, as well as a sofa bed for guests five and six. Both bedrooms are on the smaller side, though – no bother, as we think you'll spend most of your time here exploring Paris.

The Muse of Montparnasse

This apartment is the perfect spot for a large group, with two separate apartments in one. There’s plenty of space for both social and private moments, with two living rooms, dining areas and kitchens. With four guests sleeping on sofa beds, we think this pad is better for a short city break, though it’s a great option if you’re seeking flexibility. And while city noise is to be expected here, this central location places you within easy reach of the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel des Invalides and Le Bon Marché.

The city's oldest and most iconic department store, Le Bon Marché, with La Grande Épicerie, the largest food hall in Paris, is just a five-minute saunter. Or, have a wander around the stunning Luxembourg Palace, a fifteen-minute stroll away. Back at this cosy home, we love the feel of this bright abode with its stone walls and old wooden beams – it's the perfect Parisian hideaway. On chillier evenings, light the fire, pour a glass of wine or make a brew with the gourmet tea provided and totally unwind. Wake up the following day to a tasty breakfast arranged by your lovely host, if you wish. In fact, there are an array of services available here to help you make the most of your stay, from a private chef to create the ultimate romantic dining experience to restaurant reservations. You could be forgiven for not wanting to leave, despite the delightful neighbourhood on your doorstep. We're very jealous of the lucky person or couple who get the chance to stay longer.

The ceilings are on the low side so it won't be suited to taller guests, but the interior courtyards on both sides of the home mean you'll get a nice breeze and less noise than in other central spots. While there's no parking outside, we love the location. The area is rich with restaurants and museums, and you'll find the Bon Marché close by for indulging in some retail therapy. For seeing all of Paris's best bits, Vaneau metro station is a five-minute walk away.

Sitting in a central spot to the south of the Seine, we're sure that you'll be just as smitten with this bright apartment as we are. There's a simply huge amount of natural light from the windows and doors that line the living space and this shines rather nicely off the stark white walls, wooden floor and sleek kitchen surfaces.

While it may not have the Haussmanian period charm of other homes in the French capital, the furnishings and finishes are all contemporary – even a little minimalist so in places – and there are no parts that we can identify as needing some urgent love and attention. There's plenty of room to kick back and relax after some serious sightseeing, while the smartly designed kitchen is plenty big enough should you decide you need a night off the city's famous restaurants.

Whenever you choose to leave the home, you'll be immediately greeted by the building's plant-filled courtyard, which is a pleasing pocket of green in the heart of the metropolis. Beyond that, it's easy to stroll over to some well-known attractions, including the Luxembourg Gardens and Les Invalides.

Polished Perfection

This tasteful home makes for a comfortable and practical base for two in Paris. The Latin Quarter location means that you’re in the thick of things, with Jardin du Luxembourg just 550 metres away and Notre Dame a fifteen-minute stroll. Mabillon metro station is also close by. The apartment itself is tucked down a small street, and has everything you might need. There’s a desk in the living room for remote working, and the projector in the bedroom means you can add cosy movie nights to your itinerary. The only downside to this charming apartment is that it’s on the fourth floor with no lift – it won’t be suitable for everyone. 

Modern Chic

With its French windows, Juliet balconies, and typically Parisian exterior, this apartment radiates charm. Although it's cramped in places (especially the bedroom), you'll find plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable. There's a desk for remote working, a fully-equipped (albeit compact) kitchen, and a cosy living area where you can put your feet up after sightseeing. While it's certainly not the brightest or biggest home, you can't fault the location. The Musee d'Orsay, Les Invalides, and Eiffel Tower are nearby, with bars, restaurants, and the metro also within walking distance.

This slightly quirky home is a convenient base in Paris. It’s close to the Mabillon metro station and is within easy walking distance of the Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame. You’ll have your pick of restaurants, bars, and theatres nearby, too. There are two living rooms here, one of which houses a sofa bed for two guests – as well as a desk for remote working. A child can also be accommodated in a mezzanine-level single bed, but this won’t be suitable for everyone given the stairs.

Our favourite feature is its collection of photorealistic portraits, which provide a window to a distant time and place.

Situated in the charming 7th arrondissement, this apartment is walking distance from the Montparnasse Tower, the Jardin du Luxembourg, and the museums of the Hôtel des Invalides. It’s also right near a Metro station, putting the rest of Paris within easy reach. Inside, the home is small yet stylish, with an open-plan living and bedroom space, plus a basic kitchen that suits simple meals. It might be compact, but this home has the comforts you need after a day spent sightseeing – which is simple thanks to the great location.

A light-filled treasure, the owners have reworked the original period proportions for seamless, modern living. With vast amounts of space for socialising, this is the place to host a dinner party (your host can help organise a chef, so you can focus on the entertaining). Beyond this luxurious home, you’re just a few steps from the metro station Notre-Dame-des-Champs, and a mere three-minute walk to the Jardin du Luxembourg. You’ll discover authentic brasseries, boulangeries, patisseries, and a farmers’ market all nearby.  And despite this top-notch location, we found the home to be extremely peaceful due to its position on a quiet street. It’s the perfect haven from the non-stop going-ons of central Paris.

You’ll be staying close to the Luxembourg Gardens - Paris's best-loved park - and are moments away from the galleries and quaint cafés of bohemian Saint Germain-des-Prés.

Wow was the first word we uttered when we saw the views from the living room of the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Montparnasse Tower and the West Parisian rooftops. But that was just the start – the large terrace with tables and chairs, as well as a long balcony has incredible vistas of Notre Dame, Église Saint-Sulpice, and Église de Saint Germain des Prés – this place is truly divine. Enjoy some oysters and Champagne here as you take in the breathtaking city panorama. 

Each bedroom has its own private balcony, too, so there's plenty of outdoor space, and with air conditioning, you're guaranteed to keep your cool. Unwind on the blue velvet sofa before heading out to explore this exclusive neighbourhood.

It's a five-minute amble to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens – perfect for a romantic wander through the rose gardens and orchards. Or soak in the atmosphere at Saint Germain market, just eight minutes on foot. There are plenty of high-end boutiques, boulangeries and stylish eateries right on your doorstep too. 

Alternatively, culture vultures can head to Théâtre du Vieux Colombier, a four-minute stroll or go to the local cinema a twelve-minute saunter away.
