When you stay at this apartment in the 5th arrondissement, you'll be only a few metres away from the Jardin du Luxembourg, Panthéon and Sorbonne University. Also nearby is the Rue Mouffetard, with various restaurants, shops, cafés, and a permanent open market. This spacious home, situated on the ground floor, and accessed directly from the street, is ideal for a family, friends or business travellers. Bear in mind, though, that there's only one bathroom for six guests at full capacity.

We love this home for its location within an authentic enclave that's a stone's throw from Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin Quarter. The home itself is more functional than sumptuous, although it does shine for its great cleanliness standards. A well presented terrace offers the option of enjoying a drink or meal al fresco, while there's also a cocktail bar just downstairs, and although it's more of a boozer, it's still a great spot for a classic cocktail. A couple looking for a base from which to explore the nightlife of the Latin Quarter need look no further.

This tasteful home makes for a comfortable and practical base for two in Paris. The Latin Quarter location means that you’re in the thick of things, with Jardin du Luxembourg just 550 metres away and Notre Dame a fifteen-minute stroll. Mabillon metro station is also close by. The apartment itself is tucked down a small street, and has everything you might need. There’s a desk in the living room for remote working, and the projector in the bedroom means you can add cosy movie nights to your itinerary. The only downside to this charming apartment is that it’s on the fourth floor with no lift – it won’t be suitable for everyone. 

Modern Chic

This slightly quirky home is a convenient base in Paris. It’s close to the Mabillon metro station and is within easy walking distance of the Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame. You’ll have your pick of restaurants, bars, and theatres nearby, too. There are two living rooms here, one of which houses a sofa bed for two guests – as well as a desk for remote working. A child can also be accommodated in a mezzanine-level single bed, but this won’t be suitable for everyone given the stairs.

Luxembourg public transport is only a four-minute walk away and ready to zip you across Paris to see landmark sights like The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower and more. With antique furniture, parquet flooring and decorative fireplaces, the interior style might not be to everyone, but it is central and surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The balcony is a nice touch, and we recommend enjoying your first cup of coffee on it every morning.

There isn't a TV here, but with well-stocked bookshelves and lots to see and do on your doorstep, we reckon you won't need one.

There's also a sofa bed for two guests, but we think space will be a squeeze with it in use. Location-wise, Jardin du Luxembourg is an easy stroll away, as are markets, shops, and theatres.

If you love nothing more than a stroll around beautiful gardens, this apartment in the 6th arrondissement could be the one you’re looking for. After all, the Jardin du Luxembourg is just a stone’s throw away. Or drink in the atmosphere of this home’s location in Odéon from the balcony with views of the street below. The characterful accommodation is spread over two floors linked by a narrow spiral staircase. We love the bedroom's exposed brick and beamed ceilings. This is a lively area, so don't expect complete peace and quiet. But for couples and solo travellers who want to be near to arts and culture, it's more than ideal.
