This apartment combines Parisian-chic with a trendy New York loft vibe (despite being on the ground floor). It fits right in with the neighbourhood, a short walk from Le Marais where indie galleries and niche museums sit alongside romantic bistros in the narrow streets. Wandering the typically Parisian streets around you is a delight, but you can also reach the major sights of the city centre by hopping on the metro at Oberkampf, just down the street.

Inside, exposed stone walls are warming honey-brown and the low wooden sofa has that eclectic artist-in-the-city vibe. Wood panel sliding barn doors and distressed dressed make everything feel upcycled. There are two seating areas in the huge, open living and dining room, separated by the big group dining table. Then the kitchen is tucked away at the back. Both bedrooms are spacious, with exposed brick walls carry on the New York loft theme.

This former dressmaking workshop is an excellent option for a Parisian getaway. For starters, the location is super central. Sentier is abuzz with places to shop and eat, while landmarks like the Louvre and Palais Garnier are within easy walking distance. Despite being a little snug, the apartment is stylish and well-suited to short stays. We love the windows, which flood the space with light – just keep in mind that two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the second lounge. There's also a compact kitchen here and no dining table – all the more reason to try French food at the nearby restaurants.

This apartment’s address is great – it’s a short walk from the Musée des Arts et Métiers and the Centre Pompidou. This home has all the modernity and style we’ve come to expect from a city loft. Formerly a railway company office, huge, warehouse-style windows fill the place with natural light and the double-height living room is a big open space made for socialising. A mix of pendant lamps and sparkling chandeliers blend industrial-chic with pure Parisian grandeur and we love the quirky touches like graffiti-style art on the wall and a film reel lamp on the coffee table. 

In the open space, you’ll find a dining table for the whole group, a hang-out corner with a sound system and foosball table, and a lounge lined with towering bookshelves. The kitchen is tucked beneath the mezzanine bedrooms and is super sleek in shining chrome. You’re in one of Paris’ artsy and most fashionable neighbourhoods here, packed with trendy bars, bistros and chichi cafés. It’s also only a fifteen-minute walk from the Gare du Nord if you’re arriving by Eurostar, while the Louvre and the Palais Garnier are both less than fifteen minutes away on the metro.

It's on the second floor, so you'll need to climb stairs, but we think it's worth it for such a convenient location.

The building in which this apartment sits was built during Georges-Eugène Haussmann's renovation of the French capital in the nineteenth century, although you will be happy to hear that it's received a lot of love since then. In fact, the space was given a complete makeover in 2020 and you can get a sense of this modernity in every room, from the tiling in the bathrooms and the chevron parquet flooring in the living area, to the tropical design on the kitchen wall. The communal space benefits from two French doors, which let in ample amounts of natural light and lead out onto a small balcony where you can gaze down at Parisian street life below. The central location means that there's plenty to do when you want to explore. The local neighbourhood is teeming with theatres if you fancy catching a show, while Centre Pompidou is only twenty minutes' walk away if you're in an artsy mood.

Housed in a characterful building, this apartment was renovated by a famous French architect. We love the classical ceiling artwork in this apartment’s open-plan living space (this room also sleeps guests five and six on a sofa bed). Another highlight is the main bedroom with its freestanding bathtub and views over the area’s ornate architecture. Whether you want to stay local or ride the nearby metro further afield, you couldn't ask for a better base to call home. Uncluttered and minimalist, we love how bright the living space is. There's a small kitchen, a chic dining nook that doubles as a workspace, and a sofa bed for two guests. It's on the first floor and doesn't have a lift, but that aside, it ticks all our boxes for a carefree stay.
