Stepping inside feels like stepping into one of the chichi galleries of Le Marais as big, bold contemporary artworks adorn the white walls in high-ceiling rooms. The French windows in the living room look out over an internal courtyard, so it’s blissfully quiet – perfect if you want to curl up on the velvet sofa with a book from the mini-library. Everything feels like an ode to the 18th-century building this apartment sits in. The gilded tables and golden candelabra, the thick curtains swathing towering French windows, and the marble-effect walls. This place radiates style as soon as you step into the open-plan living area. Artworks depicting scenes from old Paris dominate the walls. Bedrooms are just as stylish as the living area with sparkling chandeliers above plush beds. Should you need to catch up on work, there are laptop-friendly desks – our favourite is the one next to the big windows.

Comfortable, bright and surprisingly private, it's a real retreat away from the bustling city streets.

Step outside each morning and grab a coffee and croissant as you stroll along the Seine – it's just a six-minute walk to take in the impressive view of Notre Dame, currently being restored. Our favourite spot is the balcony, where you can sit and enjoy croissants with coffee for breakfast while watching the city come to life below. Down on the street level, you'll find many of Paris' top attractions are right on your doorstep. The Louvre is just a five-minute stroll away, while a ten-minute walk will take you to the Notre Dame. There are plenty of brasseries and jazz bars to discover nearby and, thanks to the excellent public transport links, you can visit other parts of the city with ease.

The kitchen is well-equipped, ideal to cook up a storm, but there's only a small counter to enjoy dinner at, so a better choice for those who want to eat out.

This home is definitely one for the culture vultures, and you're spoiled for choice when it comes to nearby museums. Still, it's the Musée National Picasso-Paris and the Maison Européene de la Photographie that should be at the top of the list. Elsewhere Le Marais is known for offering Paris' best shopping experience along the nearby Rue des Francs Bourgeois, a selection of fantastic restaurants to suit any budget, as well as being the hipster hub of the city's LGBTQ+ scene. If you feel the urge to explore further afield, you're well served by the Metro, which can have you tramping around the majority of tourist sights in around twenty minutes. With the delights of the Marais are at your fingertips, you'll love coming back to this quiet haven at the end of a day spent exploring.


Lily of the Valley

Right in the heart of the beautiful Marais, this family home is both cosy and spacious. Set in a typical period building, it has a classic look with tall ceilings, big windows that open up completely to reveal wrought-iron rails and chic furniture with a rustic – almost farmhouse – twist. We love the natural light that floods the rooms. There's a modern kitchen and a pretty dining table if you're cooking at home but we think you'll be exploring the array of great eateries nearby most evenings. Each bedroom has a dedicated bathroom so there won't be any queueing for the shower in the mornings, and it's easy to get around the city with two metro stations around the corner. Or else head out on foot and walk to the Louvre in less than half an hour.

The Cottage

Known for its vital role in the French Revolution, Bastille and the surrounding neighbourhood has plenty to offer, even if you're not keen on history. From lively jazz bars and the Opéra Bastille to bohemian boutiques and Marché d'Aligre, this pocket of Paris has something for everyone. And it's where you'll find this stylish apartment, just a five-minute walk from the July Column, twenty from Notre Dame and surrounded by a slew of chic cafes, trendy wine bars and delicious eateries.

Come home after a long day and sprawl out on the sofa, nibbling on French cheese, fresh-baked bread and sharing a bottle of wine picked up from the market. We love the exposed brick in the kitchen, the skylights in the bathroom and the soft, modern furnishings. The style is minimal, the living space bright, and the bedroom super comfortable. This flat may be on the smaller side, but we think it'll do nicely for solo travellers and couples wanting to stay in the centre of the action.

This apartment combines Parisian-chic with a trendy New York loft vibe (despite being on the ground floor). It fits right in with the neighbourhood, a short walk from Le Marais where indie galleries and niche museums sit alongside romantic bistros in the narrow streets. Wandering the typically Parisian streets around you is a delight, but you can also reach the major sights of the city centre by hopping on the metro at Oberkampf, just down the street.

Inside, exposed stone walls are warming honey-brown and the low wooden sofa has that eclectic artist-in-the-city vibe. Wood panel sliding barn doors and distressed dressed make everything feel upcycled. There are two seating areas in the huge, open living and dining room, separated by the big group dining table. Then the kitchen is tucked away at the back. Both bedrooms are spacious, with exposed brick walls carry on the New York loft theme.

Located not far from the place de la République and at the heart of Paris' trendy NoMa (North Marais) district, this modern apartment is both cosy, stylish and perfectly placed. For those looking to tick off that lengthy bucket list, you'll find the Notre Dame just a twenty-five-minute walk away, the Louvre only a minute further (on foot), and the Bastille thirty minutes from your door. While a stroll through your immediate neighbourhood will have you passing hip bars, luxury boutiques and indie art galleries. When – weary from all that culture soaking – you do return home, whip up a hearty meal in that all-too-rare of Paris commodities, a well-equipped and large kitchen, that's perfect for a big family or a group of friends. Fry up a croque madame at the black anthracite cooking island, before sitting down to indulge around the chic dining area with quirky artwork adorning the walls and original lighting above. Fancy an evening in? The calming green-toned living space is the best spot for a wine and cheese night with good company – it feels modern with the colourful leather sofas, yet rustic and homely with the wooden coffee table and serene moody shades. The internal crittall windows are a classy touch too. Elsewhere, you'll find hidden away reading snugs, unique bedrooms with quirky wallpaper prints and artwork, as well as three swanky en-suite bathrooms. Spring has sprung in the Marais.

Built in the late 19th century as a Parisian bolthole for a French aristocratic family, this plush apartment combines old-world opulence with modern sophistication. We loved the expertly restored original features – namely the solid wood floors and wall mouldings – as well as the nods to Rococo interior design, exemplified by the bedframes and glass chandeliers. Arise in elegant bedrooms and breakfast at the jewel-toned dining set before ticking off the must-visits on your itinerary. Culture buffs should make a beeline for the Louvre or Pompidou Centre – you’re a fifteen-minute walk from both. Take a leisurely twenty-five-minute stroll south to the Notre Dame or hop on the metro at Bonne Nouvelle and arrive at the unmistakable Eiffel Tower in just over thirty minutes.

Look no further for a perfect location in Paris. We love that this second-floor home puts world-famous museums and fine dining on your doorstep. After shopping in Les Halles, you'll return to this historic Haussmann building, where a modern base awaits with a keyless entry code. Because guests five and six will sleep in the living area, expect a knock on the bedroom door when it's time for a shower. Both en-suites lack some privacy, which may have the others discussing plans on the Juliet balconies.

This pocket-sized flat may be snug, but trust us, the scenery more than makes up for it. From the window, you'll have a birds-eye view of Notre Dame in the distance, standing tall over Paris' rooftops. There's not heaps of space – in fact, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed – but the location is excellent. Situated on a quiet street in the Latin Quarter, you're just a short walk from the Seine, Luxembourg Gardens and, of course, Notre Dame. We love this culturally-rich area – it's ripe with eateries, cafes and charming shops frequented by Sorbonne students – and all the major sights are either a quick metro ride or stroll away.

Located in Paris’ enchanting Marais district – where cobbled streets are packed with cosy cafés, vintage boutiques and historic buildings – this sophisticated apartment is an ideal base for those looking to get the most out of the city’s famous sights. 
 
Occupying a corner position with views of the Hôtel de Ville’s forecourt, this home has been carefully curated with style and comfort in mind and with more than just a touch of Parisian chic in its decor too. Wood floors, high ceilings and tall windows greet you in the open-plan living space where a sofa invites you to kick back and relax over a glass of French wine and a table beckons intimate soirées when you’re not out sampling the local food scene. 
 
The bedroom is our favourite spot with its floor-to-ceiling windows framing a luxuriously dressed bed, while the en-suite shower room promises a relaxing soak beneath its rainfall shower – the perfect way to start the morning ahead of a day of sightseeing. 
 
Speaking of exploring, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to cultural hotspots nearby. Both Notre Dame and the Louve are a thirteen-minute walk, the romantic Pont des Arts is a seventeen-minute stroll and the Île Saint-Louis is fifteen minutes away on foot. You’re also a twenty-three-minute walk from the Canal Saint-Martin and its waterside cafés, while the Musée National Picasso-Paris is fourteen minutes on foot from your door.

Take in the views over Paris’s Archives Museum from this apartment’s large windows. We love that a lot of thought has gone into the decor here, too. Just a couple of things to note – at full capacity, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room. Also, both bedrooms are street-facing, so you may hear a bit of noise here. Otherwise, this is a great choice for friends or a family looking to take advantage of this home’s great location. It’s in Le Marais, so you’ll have access to stylish shops, restaurants, and art galleries. 

Memories of Paris

Located in the Marais neighbourhood on the Rue des Archives, you’ll have cultural attractions such as Musée National Picasso-Paris and the Centre Pompidou a short stroll away. There are an array of chic boutiques, bars and restaurants to enjoy too. Another good feature of this home is that all of the bedrooms are en-suite. We love that this home overlooks a peaceful inner courtyard too.

Arriving at this 3rd arrondissement building, you’ll pass by the many bars, restaurants, and cafes of Le Marais, an excellent base for exploring Paris. It’s just a five-minute walk from the Picasso Museum, and is close to the Centre Pompidou. You can also walk easily to the likes of the Louvre, the Notre-Dame, and the shopping centre at Châtelet les Halles. The apartment is contemporary and comfortable, once you’ve tackled the stairs to the fourth floor – there’s no lift here. If the cardio workout doesn’t put you off, you’ll benefit from a convenient kitchen and enough space to relax in between sightseeing. 

Le Marais Élégant

Conveniently located for visiting the best of Paris, this apartment is in the 3rd arrondissement. The Marais is known for its charm and for its boutiques, bakeries, and bustling nightlife – you’ll have everything you need close by here. You can walk easily to the Centre Pompidou, the Picasso Museum, and the Notre-Dame, or hop on the Metro just three minutes away to visit the likes of Montmartre and the Arc de Triomphe. The apartment is on the second floor and there’s no lift. If that doesn’t put you off, you’ll have a simple, comfortable place to rest your head, though two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living space.

Given its super central location, the apartment boasts optimal space for a small family to enjoy without feeling too cramped, which is often the case in old Parisian apartment buildings. With a quirky layout and modern design, the space presents a comfortable and practical set-up for guests to call home when visiting Paris.

This apartment’s address is great – it’s a short walk from the Musée des Arts et Métiers and the Centre Pompidou. Other places of interest within walking distance include the Louvre Museum and Palais Royal. Back at this apartment, we love the views from the open-plan living room’s balcony of the typically Parisian architecture. This room also sleeps guests three and four on a comfy sofa bed. Another bonus of staying here is there's free access to a shared gym too – this place is ideal for business and leisure travellers alike.

For sightseeing, Notre Dame is a short walk away, though there's a metro nearby to explore further afield. The apartment is compact yet comfortable. Guests three and four will sleep on a sofa bed, but as the only bathroom is en-suite and the whole place is pretty pocket-sized, we think it's best for two.

This is a cosy apartment perfect for two, with everything you should need for a short break close to hand.

Staying in the Latin Quarter gives you effortless access to some of Paris’ best eateries and attractions. This Left Bank home is just a short walk from the Panthéon and Jardin des Plantes, fifteen minutes from Île Saint-Louis and the Notre-Dame. You’ll be next door to the Sorbonne, returning home from sightseeing amid intellectuals and students. If you’ll be working during your stay, there’s a desk in the bedroom. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen, if you feel like cooking.

As far as we’re concerned, it’s always a great time for Paris. Staying here, you’ll have the best of the city right on your doorstep – you can easily walk to the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and the boutiques of Rue de Rivoli. There are also excellent transport links, opening up the whole of Paris. The apartment is elegant and glamorous, designed with style in mind. The open-plan living and dining area is where you’ll likely spend most of your downtime, when you’re not soaking in the bathtub. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed, but there’s still plenty of room for relaxing and dining together.
