One of Paris' most famous landmarks is your neighbour at this central apartment. Notre Dame is only a short walk away, but next door is the Church of Saint-Séverin. It may not be as iconic as its neighbour but it’s just as beautiful – and you'll be treated to panoramas of the gothic architecture from the living room windows. View aside, we love the space on offer here, even if the second bedroom is a tad snug and two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. The contemporary finishes are a nice touch, too. There's a soaker bath, a sleek kitchen, and even air conditioning – no wonder it caught our eye.

A home for those who prioritise decluttered spaces and a great postcode, Redberry is located in the historic Latin Quarter, just a 5-minute walk from Île de la Cité and Notre-Dame. While its minimal look will probably not feature on interior design magazine covers, we valued its bright spaces and coherent aesthetic. A couple will find it's a home that's perfectly equipped as a comfortable base in the city.

Outside, it’s less than a ten-minute stroll to Notre Dame, and you’ll find cafes, restaurants and shops all within easy reach. There is no private parking available here, but you’ll find great public transport links and your host can arrange a private chauffeur service. Inside, the bedroom and living room are separated by a glass wall – a clever design feature that ensures you have plenty of space to switch off and unwind. At full occupancy one guest will be sleeping on the sofa bed, but this is a handy option for families travelling with children.

We love this home for its location within an authentic enclave that's a stone's throw from Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin Quarter. The home itself is more functional than sumptuous, although it does shine for its great cleanliness standards. A well presented terrace offers the option of enjoying a drink or meal al fresco, while there's also a cocktail bar just downstairs, and although it's more of a boozer, it's still a great spot for a classic cocktail. A couple looking for a base from which to explore the nightlife of the Latin Quarter need look no further.

This pocket-sized flat may be snug, but trust us, the scenery more than makes up for it. From the window, you'll have a birds-eye view of Notre Dame in the distance, standing tall over Paris' rooftops. It's a striking peek across the city, and combined with the generous amount of natural light and simple aesthetic, it makes a stay here feel unique. Following a long day exploring, come home and unwind with a glass of wine on the sofa or a quick nibble around the dining table. There's not heaps of space – in fact, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed – but the location is excellent. Situated on a quiet street in the Latin Quarter, you're just a short walk from the Seine, Luxembourg Gardens and, of course, Notre Dame. We love this culturally-rich area – it's ripe with eateries, cafes and charming shops frequented by Sorbonne students – and all the major sights are either a quick metro ride or stroll away.

The location of this apartment is hard to beat. Notre-Dame cathedral is just a four-minute walk across the river and the pretty Jardin du Luxembourg is nearby too. Plus, with a Metro stop two minutes away, it’s easy to tick off the rest of your Parisian bucket list. The living room feels bright and open thanks to high ceilings and big windows, with a petite yet practical kitchen area, dining space, and a sofa bed. There’s also a compact and cosy bedroom. With so much on your doorstep, you probably won’t spend much time here, but when you do come back to recharge your batteries, it’s a comfortable place to unwind.

In an art nouveau building located in the latin quarter, you can find this light and bright home that ticks every box. The large windows are luminous, drenching each room in light, as well as offering stunning views of the Eiffel tower. Decorated in a Scandi-style, the rooms are minimal and pared-back, yet cosy and warm – a delight after a day's exploration. The kitchen is well-equipped, ideal to cook up a storm, but there's only a small counter to enjoy dinner at, so a better choice for those who want to eat out.

A small home that's packed full of charm and character and full to the brim with trinkets from our host's travels around the world. Incredibly furnished with antiques, treasures, art and sculptures and perfectly located to boot, this home is hard to complain about. Based in the heart of the Latin Quarter, you get a great view of the Place de la Contrescarpe from the bright living room. It should be warned, Trinkets & Travels is only available for a long stay booking rather than a tourist trip to Paris.

Small but stylish, this apartment is a great option for short stays. You'll be based in the vibrant Latin Quarter, where bookshops, cafes, and bistros are all within easy reach. For sightseeing, Notre Dame is a short walk away, though there's a metro nearby to explore further afield. The apartment is compact yet comfortable. Guests three and four will sleep on a sofa bed, but as the only bathroom is en-suite and the whole place is pretty pocket-sized, we think it's best for two.

Nestled in the historic Latin Quarter, this home is excellently located for exploring. Walk five minutes in one direction and you'll reach the spires of Notre Dame, while nine minutes the opposite way lies the leafy Luxembourg Gardens. Charming bookstores, local eateries and cosy cafes abound in this neighbourhood, so if living like a true Parisian is what you're after, you can't go wrong with this postcode. Inside, it's minimally decorated with Scandinavian-inspired pieces – think clean, uncluttered living spaces and classic, contemporary design. We adored the large windows and their quintessential Juliet balconies – although there's nowhere to sit on them, you can still throw open the French doors and watch the city pass by on the streets below. The kitchen is a little tiny – we think it's better suited towards light meals and smaller bites – and there's only one bathroom, but otherwise, this fantastically-placed pad is a great option for small groups or families wanting a typical Paris getaway.

Once home to an old hairdressing salon, this loft is jam-packed with history and quintessential Parisian charm. Located in the heart of the bustling Latin quarter, you'll be in the thick of it all here - and Notre Dame is just 250 metres away. Follow the banks of the beautiful River Seine and not only will you wind up at the Musée d'Orsay but you can't miss the iconic Musée du Louvre and its neighbouring Tuileries Gardens – all within fifteen minutes walking distance from your Latin Quarter abode. Situated on the first floor of a 400-year-old building (without a lift), this apartment faces the communal garden and inner courtyard and offers a relaxing place to stay. We love the glimpses of the Panthéon over the Parisian rooftops, and the open-plan living space has a sofa bed for guests three and four. There’s also a desk in the bedroom if you need to work while away in this vibrant city.

This apartment is in an historic building in the lively Latin Quarter, at the heart of the action. It’s a petite home with heaps of charm and retro touches – the exposed beams and stonework give it a rustic feel.

Although we could spend all day discovering the boutiques and eateries here, it's extremely well-connected to the rest of the city if you'd like to venture further afield. Secondly, the apartment itself is a real gem. The design combines traditional features with all the modern conveniences you'll need. Space can be a little tight with the sofa bed in use, but there's plenty of room in the main suite and the second bathroom is a nice bonus. If you're after a quintessentially Parisian experience, this is it.
