Situated in Paris’s Latin Quarter, near the Saint-Germain district and a short stroll from the iconic Notre Dame de Paris, the location of this apartment is excellent. Also within walking distance, you’ll find the Jardin des Plantes, the Panthéon and Arènes de Lutèce. This home, set on the fourth floor (with no lift) and split over two levels, has an impressive and bright open-plan living space. We should also mention that two guests are accommodated in this room on a sofa bed at full capacity. We love the small terrace with its glimpse over the rooftops to the Notre Dame in the distance, and there's a view over to the River Seine from the front of the home, too.

Staying in the Latin Quarter gives you effortless access to some of Paris’ best eateries and attractions. This Left Bank home is just a short walk from the Panthéon and Jardin des Plantes, fifteen minutes from Île Saint-Louis and the Notre-Dame. You’ll be next door to the Sorbonne, returning home from sightseeing amid intellectuals and students. If you’ll be working during your stay, there’s a desk in the bedroom. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen, if you feel like cooking.

Experience the magic of central Paris with a stay in this apartment. Nestled in the heart of Île Saint-Louis, it’s a short stroll to iconic sights like the Notre-Dame and you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to local cafes, restaurants and shops. There’s no private parking available here but there are great public transport links and your host can help organise a private driver for an additional fee. It’s worth noting the apartment is on the second floor with no lift access, but once inside you’ll find everything you could need to switch off and unwind. There’s a cosy living room for laidback gatherings and two snug bedrooms.

A cosy apartment down a quiet cobblestoned alley in the Fifth Arrondissement, within a two-minute stroll of the lively market street of Rue Mouffetard. 'La Mouf' is the oldest street in Paris, and on weekends you'll find locals haggling over fresh produce. On Sundays, everyone flocks to the square at the southern end of the street, where locals gather to dance and sing accompanied by the accordion – it's an experience not to be missed. The apartment's living space in warm earthy tones will make you feel instantly at home, while the bold lime green kitchen is sure to add some zest to any homemade dishes. If you love a little colour, you'll appreciate this home and the host's attentive care goes above and beyond.

A small home that's packed full of charm and character and full to the brim with trinkets from our host's travels around the world. Incredibly furnished with antiques, treasures, art and sculptures and perfectly located to boot, this home is hard to complain about. Based in the heart of the Latin Quarter, you get a great view of the Place de la Contrescarpe from the bright living room. It should be warned, Trinkets & Travels is only available for a long stay booking rather than a tourist trip to Paris.

Built around a central courtyard, this one-bedroom apartment in Paris' Latin Quarter is at the heart of the capital's cultural district. There's almost a loft vibe to this home with its spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine double bedroom, and there's lots of natural light coming into the main communal area. You're only a short walk away from the banks of the Seine as well as Notre Dame on the Île de la Cité.

Situated on the little island between Le Marais and Notre Dame de Paris, this home is far away from the hustle and bustle of Paris, but still accessible enough, giving you the best of both worlds. It also means that the immediate area – known for having been an aristocratic area in the 19th century – has a particular small-town charm that makes sitting outside a cafe with a cappuccino feel special. Stroll the avenues looking for the perfect spot for a holiday selfie before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many authentic eateries of the neighbourhood. 
 
After a day of sightseeing, eating to your heart's content, and sipping one too many coffees – if there is such a thing – head back and enjoy the eclectic comfort the home has to offer. Designed by a French architect, it has all the flourishes of Parisian living, but with an efficient floor plan and vibrancy that’s hard to rival.

Kitted out with everything needed for a comfortable stay, the one thing to note is that as a party of four, two people will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. Still, it’s a small price to pay for the location. With the River Seine nearby, you can enjoy a scenic stroll along the banks, or cross the river to visit Notre Dame, a must-see while in Paris.

It's not a secret that this apartment's location is what initially caught our eye. Located on the banks of the Seine, Notre Dame is so close you'll be able to glimpse the spires from the windows. Plus, the Latin Quarter's many eateries and shops are just a short stroll away. Our favourite feature here is the wooden details, especially the timber ceilings – they are so charming and characterful. It's also split across two levels, so you'll have plenty of space, though it's worth noting that the building may not have a lift. With an incredible setting and comfortable living area, it ticks all the boxes for us.

This tranquil and sunny apartment in Île Saint-Louis benefits from having views over the Seine and Rive Gauche. Not only is it located on one of Paris’ top five best streets, but it’s also ideal for sightseeing on foot—the Notre Dame and the Marais are within a ten minute mosey, while a walk to the Latin Quarter will take you just under twenty minutes. Inside, the mix-match antique furniture looks effortlessly curated and we loved the collection of exotic figurines and masks; we could have spent hours poring over each artefact. After the great location, our favourite feature is the vast amount of sunlight that floods into every room, making this home the ultimate spirit lifter. Pull open the windows and watch riverboats cruise by as you consider extending your stay just that little bit longer.

Game of Chess is a lovely home celebrating Second Empire style, ideal for more mature guests with distinguished taste. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming with soft carpet underfoot and comfy furniture to snuggle up on with a good book. Located in the Rive Gauche district which is a safe and secure area, although not particularly near a station, so this home may feel slightly out of the way for those needing a central Parisian locale.

Experience Paris like a true Parisian in this authentic French apartment set on the beautiful island of Ile Saint-Louis in the tranquil eastern end of Paris. 
Filled with a mix of contemporary and antique pieces carefully selected chosen by the owner, this home strikes the right balance between classy but cosy interiors. The vibrant and eclectic furnishings are even further complemented by unique pieces of artwork in true Parisian style. We particularly love the grand table dining area, which hones in on the importance of eating well and eating together when embracing the French culture. Pick up a good bottle of French wine from the local wine cellar, alongside other necessities from the butchers, bakery and fromagerie – all located within five minutes walking distance on the island. Once the restaurants clear out at night, the streets of this little village in the heart of Paris, fall quiet and a late stroll down the main street gives the feeling of having stepped into an Impressionist painting. Cross over the river Seine in either direction and you'll find yourself, once again, in more picture-perfect scenes reflective of Paris' romantic reputation.

Located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, you'll have plenty of local sights to visit such as the Botanical Garden or the Panthéon. A one-bedroom apartment that's been recently renovated, it still has that fresh out of the box feel that we love. There's nothing extravagant about its style but a few pieces bestow the home with an original personality – our personal favourites are the pair of retro armchairs and bold yellow bathroom. It's important to note though that the bedroom is very small - perhaps not for those who prefer sprawling sleeping quarters.

Spread over three floors, this striking home lies in Paris's Latin Quarter and is ideal for family trips. There are several cosy outdoor spaces to enjoy here, from a terrace with space for a couple to dine alfresco to a rooftop reading nook amongst the greenery. This home is lived-in and a dog usually resides here, meaning you can expect to see some of the owner's belongings and it might not be the best choice for those with animal allergies. But if you don't mind this along with scarce parking space, we think the location is fantastic. You'll find restaurants and museums nearby, along with public transport and the famous Seine.

Stay in the lively Latin Quarter, just a five-minute walk from Notre Dame. Spend mornings strolling through Luxembourg Garden, just a sixteen-minute walk away, and afternoons perusing the hallowed shelves of Shakespeare and Company book store. While so much of Paris will be accessible on foot, the nearest metro stop – Saint-Michel Notre-Dame – is just a four-minute walk away and will connect you all over the city. Back at home, you’ll find a charming one-bedroom brought to life with fun wallpaper and vibrant colourful furniture. The chartreuse curtains and velvet orange sofa make for a playful sitting room, while the marble fireplace and large gilded mirror add Parisian sophistication. The eat-in kitchen is small but functional for getting your day going with breakfast or fixing up snacks, though, with so many boulangeries and restaurants nearby, we wouldn't be surprised if you ate most of your meals out. We especially love the bedroom, with its classic large French windows and blue and white curtains. Start your days with coffee at the wood dining table set against a mural of a Roman temple, and end it in the tranquil and comfortable bedroom, gazing out through patterned curtains at the bustling city.

You’ll find this cosy Parisian abode on ​​Place Jussieu in the Jardin des Plantes district. Ideal for a couple on a romantic break – or four people as long as two don’t mind taking the sofa bed in the living room – this home is just the ticket for those wanting to drop off their bags and head out to explore. Sure, the kitchen is small here, but with eateries lining the streets below, dining out to experience some authentic French cuisine is a must.

This apartment is within walking distance of both the Jardin des Plantes (seven minutes away) and the Jardin du Luxembourg (seventeen minutes away), so it’s easy to start your day with a soothing stroll among the flowers. When you’re not out and about exploring the city, the apartment is a comfortable spot to recharge your sightseeing batteries, complete with a kitchen if you want to eat in. If you're looking for an authentic Parisian stay, this is just the place. Artisan bakeries are on your doorstep, the vibrant Latin Quarter is a five-minute stroll away, and Notre Dame is right around the corner. Undoubtedly, the location is postcard-perfect, but the actual home is equally charming. It has a private (if slightly overlooked) garden, perfect for sharing wine and brie alfresco and at 25 square meters, this is a rare and substantial treat in this area. Sleeping arrangements are super flexible here, too – the bedrooms can be arranged with either king or twin beds, and the trundle in the lounge fits one adult or two children. Those longing for a bit of character also will adore the quintessentially French details, including a vaulted brick ceiling and tomette tiled floors.

This family apartment with a modern, minimalist edge is conveniently located in the leafy 5th arrondissement – an oasis of calm within easy reach of the centre. It's easy to see why we love this apartment. First, the location is incredible. You're smack-dab in artsy Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of Paris' most emblematic neighbourhoods. Although we could spend all day discovering the boutiques and eateries here, it's extremely well-connected to the rest of the city if you'd like to venture further afield. Secondly, the apartment itself is a real gem. The design combines traditional features with all the modern conveniences you'll need. Space can be a little tight with the sofa bed in use, but there's plenty of room in the main suite and the second bathroom is a nice bonus. If you're after a quintessentially Parisian experience, this is it.

Located along a quiet street on Paris’ iconic island, coffee shops are right outside your door, and all of the city’s must-sees are within easy walking distance.

Key places of interest such as the Musée National Picasso-Paris and the Place des Vosges are also reachable on foot or a short ride from this apartment. There’s an open-plan living space here which accommodates guests three and four on a sofa bed, while the bedroom is on a mezzanine overlooking the lounge. This room has a low ceiling, so this place may not be suitable for taller guests, otherwise this is a great City of Light pied-à-terre.

This ground-floor apartment has been refurbished recently and mixes period features like high ceilings with modern minimalism, a sleek white kitchen and a touch of industrial styling. Comfortable, bright and surprisingly private, it's a real retreat away from the bustling city streets.

Step outside each morning and grab a coffee and croissant as you stroll along the Seine – it's just a six-minute walk to take in the impressive view of Notre Dame, currently being restored. Close to the buzzing Latin Quarter, there's no shortage of great places to eat, drink and shop, and most of the city's big attractions are within walking distance.
