In the 16th arrondissement, this apartment is well-placed to explore Paris. Mirabeau metro station is only a two-minute walk away, ready to zip you across the city. Art enthusiasts will love the collection of landscapes, portraits, and still lifes hanging on the walls back home. We also love that the Juliet balconies add a quintessential Parisian touch. It's a good fit for families, as the second bedroom has lofted single beds. The kitchen is a little small, but with a bevvy of restaurants nearby, we don't think you'll mind.

Want to be set back from the bustle of Paris' centre but still have the sights within easy reach? This 16th arrondissement apartment should do nicely. Keep things local, exploring the upmarket boutiques and bistros on your doorstep. Or hop on the nearby Yasmin Metro for direct access to the Eiffel Tower and Champs-Élysées. If we were being pernickety, the open wardrobe rails offer limited storage, and the last two guests sleeping on a sofa bed in the lounge won't suit everyone. But for a home this beautiful and spacious, we can forgive that.

Modern, comfortable and situated in the well-heeled neighbourhood of Auteuil, you’ll have no problem settling into the local way of life at this apartment. If you’re visiting for business, you’ll be pleased to know there’s a desk and high-speed wi-fi here, and the kitchen is fully equipped for long-term stays. For those lucky enough to be visiting for pleasure, after a late breakfast on the balcony, we recommend visiting the Eiffel Tower (easily reached by bus) or the Bois de Boulogne (within walking distance.)

If pink is your favourite colour, you're in for a treat. This high-floor apartment in the heart of the 15th arrondissement is modern, smart and decorated in a mix of cool whites and hot pinks. But it's far from this home's only selling point. Move through into the open-plan living and kitchen space and you'll be struck by the floor-to-ceiling windows giving unparalleled views across the rooftops of Paris. But that doesn’t mean a long trek to Paris’s must-see landmarks – the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and the Trocadéro are all within walking distance. While the home sleeps four, at full occupancy guests two and three will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area – this set-up won’t suit everyone as the only bathroom is accessed via the only bedroom (although there is a separate WC). A big bonus here is the private garden – a rare find in the capital – which is perfect for an alfresco meal after a busy day exploring the city.

It’s a duplex in a great location, just a short walk from Place du Trocadéro, with great transport links right on the doorstep. There’s a balcony that boasts views over the rooftops of Paris from the top-floor vantage point. We love how much space there is here, and how convenient a base it is – there are desks for those working during their stay, among other amenities to ensure your stay is a comfortable one. Some of the decor is a touch dated, but we think the layout and location of this home make it an excellent choice.

Though it’s not the most modern apartment, it’s a comfortable base for a family. It's worth noting that access to the bathroom is via the main bedroom. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living and dining room, which features vintage armchairs, a Persian rug, and, best of all, sliding doors to the private garden.
