Wooden beams adorn the walls and ceilings inside the home, giving it that gorgeous chalet vibe. The fluffy chairs offer you comfort as you tuck into a homecooked meal before heading out for a long walk outdoors. 

A short stroll takes you to the Marie Paradis Promenade, a beautiful walkway that provides you with amazing views of the encompassing trees and mountains that reach through the clouds. You'll reach a bridge that you can walk across where you can listen to the sound of the river rushing beneath your feet. Dining out in style is as easy as pie here, with a fantastic selection of eateries to sample cuisine from around the world. After exploring the area, head into the cosy Le Jekyll pub for some delicious food and a refreshing pint. 

Verdant Twilight

This chalet is warm, welcoming and perfectly located in St. Martin de Belleville with immediate access to the largest ski hotbed in the world. With space for a large family or group of friends, this is the perfect escape for those for rest and relaxation in the Alps. Only 200 metres from the lift, you can ski out from the property and enjoy the fresh powder before returning home to decompress in the indoor pool or sauna and enjoy a meal completely tailored to your own taste and needs. The staff who manages the property is impeccably communicative and hospitable. 

Three Valleys

Lovingly renovated in 2020, this home in the heart of the Val d’Arly has both charm and location on its side. You don’t have to look far to find proof of the enviable position – simply wander out onto the balcony and you’ll spot the rolling green mountain there as confirmation. But it isn’t just about the views either, not when the ski slopes of Les Evettes are a mere 1.8 miles away and can be reached via the free shuttles that run in season. Get on the snow and test your mettle on the different ski runs, before coming back for a warming Après-ski drink on the balcony. 

The mix of natural wood and a light colour palette makes this home feel incredibly cosy and we can imagine ourselves curling up on the couch in thick socks and a slouchy jumper. Enjoy cups of coffee as you socialise in the lounge, or carve out some you-time by getting your nose in a novel. 

With ample windows, the home is not only bright and inviting, but it means you get to keep an eye on the view even when you’re having a meal at the dining table, or settling in to watch a movie together.

It may be perfectly set up for a skiing holiday, but it’ll tend just as nicely to a nature lover’s green spirit whilst giving the whole group a space in which to relax and rejuvenate. 

The Snowy Villager

Mountain lovers will find perfect contentment in this home. Not only does it boast incredible views across the the Beauregard plateau, but it’s also just 150 metres to the La Ruade piste – making this the ideal destination for skiers. You’ll also be spoiled for choice when it comes to nearby hiking trails and the endless array of sports the Aravis mountains have to offer. And when it comes to relaxation, this home has all the essentials you could need to rest and recharge. The terrace lends itself perfectly to evening drinks, while the living room invites you to spend cosy evenings by the fire. There’s also a children’s room on the top floor with games and toys – making this a great option for families. 


The Place of Magic 

Small but perfectly formed, this cosy chalet is an ideal base for a small family or group of friends on an Alpine getaway. You’ll find everything needed for a comfortable stay here, and we love the addition of snuggly throws to warm up after a day on the mountains, and the private outdoor space, just the spot for a hot chocolate with views to remember. Locally, there’s a ski lift and bus stop just 100 metres away, so when the slopes of La Clusaz are calling, you’ll be gliding down the mountain in no time. 

Alpine Light

Rustic, cosy, and packed with high-end amenities, this homey ski-in ski-out apartment in the peaceful alpine village of Huez ticks all the boxes. Step into the open-plan living area and pour yourself a steaming hot cup of cocoa, before settling in on the sofa and relaxing after a day out on the slopes. We love how this newly renovated chalet combines stylishly curated furnishings and a sleek chef's kitchen with exposed wooden walls to keep things traditional, yet seamlessly modern. 

With a private balcony – the ideal space for a hearty breakfast in the crisp morning air and a well-earned glass of brandy under the evening stars – as well as a communal gym, ski lockers, and the convenience of private underground parking, there's so much to love about this home. 

When you're ready to hit the slopes, catch a ski lift up right by your chalet up to the snowy alpine peaks. You're also just a short walk from the centre of the village, offering a great selection of bars and restaurants to clench your thirst after a thrilling day in the mountains. 

Hazelnut Lodge

Nestled in the heart of Alpe d’Huez, this cosy mountain home is the perfect setting for a winter getaway to central France. Whether you’re here to ski or to simply soak up the gorgeous scenery, you can’t do much better than this tastefully decorated, alpine apartment, which comes equipped with a whole host of communal amenities that will make your stay here one to remember. 

Start your morning with a cup of coffee on the terrace, then set off for a day of hiking or skiing on the snowy slopes of the Central French Western Alps. We wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to spend all day out here, breathing in the fresh air or warming up with glass of mulled wine at one of the town’s charming bars, but if you’ve had your fill of being out and about, there’s plenty to keep you occupied back at home. Treat yourself to a soothing session in the on-site sauna, go for a dip in the indoor pool, or sit back and relax in the communal lounge before heading upstairs for a home-cooked meal around the rustic dining table. Raclette, anyone?

Walnut Retreat

If you want to be surrounded by lake and mountain views, look no further. There’s a Nordic-style hot tub on the terrace, large gardens, a kids’ play area and pétanque pitch, as well as a shaded pergola for dining. The accommodation is over three floors, and all of the rooms capitalise on the wonderful vistas. Three bedrooms have access to a balcony, while the spacious fourth on the top floor has a seating and workout area. If you want to do some winter sports, the ski resorts of La Sambuy and Semnoz are just under thirty minutes away. In summer, there's a lakeside beach just 2 kilometres from this home, and the Voie Verte cycle and footpath passes the door.

Blue Mountain Lake

If you're looking for a quirky place to stay during a getaway to the French Alps, then this unique home could be the one for you. It's a traditional mazot house, built above ground and supported by stilts, just outside Les Houches – for lovers of the great outdoors, it doesn't get much better than this. 

Inside, the wood-panelled walls create a toasty ambiance where you can settle in and rest your tired legs. The decor is simple yet comfortable, and you can cook up your favourite dishes in the kitchen to refuel after a busy day. The bedroom is cosy, and even has a glass floor panel overlooking the kitchen diner so you can wave hello to your guests. And, if you head outside, there is a private terrace with views across to Mont Blanc, along with a shared garden where kids can play in the fresh air. 

Le Prarion lift is only a five-minute drive away, so you can don your skis and enjoy a brilliant day shredding some powder on the slopes. When it's time for some après-ski fun, then head into Les Houches or take the eight-minute drive over to the famous resort of Chamonix, with its upmarket restaurants and decadent bars. And, during the warmer months, there is a wealth of activities right on your doorstep – from horse riding and mountain biking to rock climbing and even paragliding, you won't run out of things to do easily. 

Mazot in the Mountains

Situated in the charming village of Chantemerle, this apartment is just a three-minute walk from the gondola linking you to Serre Chevalier’s spectacular 250 kilometres of piste. There’s also a footpath, for all building residents, which leads to River Guisane – perfect for a stroll. In fact, the large living room overlooks a larch forest and the river beyond. We love the vistas of the piste from the southwest-facing balcony. If you need to work from home, there’s a workspace here too.

Snowy Luxury

This contemporary cabin makes it easy to experience the majestic beauty of the Alps' valleys. Outside, you can enjoy incredible mountain views onto the Parmelan, Annecy's imposing limestone plateau. There’s a barbecue for alfresco dining and you’ll find all the essentials you could need to settle in and unwind. Inside, the rooms are simple, family-friendly and with plenty of space to socialise and stretch out. You will need a car to get around here, but it’s less than a fifteen-minute drive to Menthon-Saint-Bernard beach as well as the centre of Annecy where you’ll find a great selection of amenities.
