This is a typical French hilltop chateau, but this doesn't mean it's ordinary. The casually welcoming atmosphere is a product of modern furniture and restored period features, the kitchen being the best example of this harmony. Still, we expect you to spend much more time around this home than in it. With the huge pool that's perfect for a morning splash and the futuristic loungers around it, a gorgeous dining spot under the pergola, and a breezy back garden, there are plenty of spots to socialise or reflect in peace. The host team that looks after this home is always available to help and organise those extra touches that will make your stay even more special. Think transport to football matches in Marseilles, babysitters, maid service, and more.

Well, those views over La Croissete and the stunning French Riviera speak for themselves, don't they? The spacious terrace is great for soaking up the sun, but it only has two loungers, so you may have to negotiate who gets them if you're a group of four. We love that the main bedroom opens onto the patio – perfect for a morning coffee. Inside, the decor is quite traditional, so it may not suit modernistas – having said that, it's been nicely done. We haven't talked about the location yet – it's excellent. La Croisette Beach and Promenade are just a short stroll away. Or discover all of the chic boutiques and restaurants in the heart of Cannes nearby.

Don’t forget to bring plenty of holiday reading to enjoy in these moments.

Then, why not head to the beach which is reachable in a short eight-minute drive, or in the centre of La Croix-Valmer you will find a free shuttle bus to get you there, plus many other amenities including restaurants and shops. While closer to home, you can enjoy a competitive game of petanque or cool off in the refreshing waters of the shared swimming pool.

When you stay at this apartment in La Ciotat, you’ll be just steps away from the Sunday market. It’s also under a five-minute stroll to the Old Port and fifteen minutes from La Ciotat’s beaches. The home itself has been renovated by an architect and includes a large living-dining room with a sofa bed, which guests five and six will be sleeping on. One thing to note is that there's air conditioning in the living space and the main bedroom only. There is also a children's bedroom with a bunk bed off the main bedroom, so this place is ideal for families.
