Then, why not head to the beach which is reachable in a short eight-minute drive, or in the centre of La Croix-Valmer you will find a free shuttle bus to get you there, plus many other amenities including restaurants and shops. While closer to home, you can enjoy a competitive game of petanque or cool off in the refreshing waters of the shared swimming pool.

We're not sure if BBC sent you here, but if you want a closer look at Mulberry House's kitchen, look no further than Rick Stein’s 'Secret France' featuring the smiley host making a delicious meal here — and were absolutely expect your to try to recreate it! This is a typical French hilltop chateau, but this doesn't mean it's ordinary. The casually welcoming atmosphere is a product of modern furniture and restored period features, the kitchen being the best example of this harmony. Still, we expect you to spend much more time around this home than in it. With the huge pool that's perfect for a morning splash and the futuristic loungers around it, a gorgeous dining spot under the pergola, and a breezy back garden, there are plenty of spots to socialise or reflect in peace. The host team that looks after this home is always available to help and organise those extra touches that will make your stay even more special. Think transport to football matches in Marseilles, babysitters, maid service, and more.

The village of Valbonne is just a thirty-minute drive inland from incredible Côte d’Azur scenery like the city of Cannes and its beautiful beaches. It’s also less than twenty minutes from Grasse, also known as the home of perfume. With such wonderful sights and smells in the region, it’s no surprise that this sensational experience continues at home. This loft is set in the heart of the quaint, traditional town. We love its stony exterior with typically French blue wooden shutters, which continues inside. All the interior walls display this fantastic exposed brickwork, with vaulted wooden ceilings and shiny stone floors. When the sun goes down, you can head up to the mezzanine bedroom. Parquet flooring and warm lighting make it feel cosy – perfect for slumbering after a long day of exploring the delights of the town and the coastal region.

With its convenient location, you can easily explore the town's shops, restaurants, and attractions, making it an ideal choice for families or friends. At full occupancy, four guests will be sleeping in single beds in the same bedroom – this room is best for kids who will love the colourful en-suite. The traditional decor here may not be to everyone’s tastes but we think most people will be won over by the views from the poolside. Location-wise, you’re surrounded by hiking trails and just 3 kilometres from the nearest town for shops, restaurants and bars.
