The upstairs primary bedroom has a super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, so may prove popular. With the town centre so close, and other picturesque towns like Stow-on-the-Wold a short drive away, the home has all you need for a comfortable retreat.

A Cotswold Story

When you think of the Cotswolds, chances are you picture chocolate-box villages, cobbled lanes and that famous honey-coloured stone. Stow-on-the-Wold promises all that and more. It's home to chic restaurants, traditional inns, cosy pubs and plenty of independent shops ripe for browsing. With countryside walks on your doorstep and many Cotswolds attractions within driving distance, this is a desirable place to be – and we absolutely adore this cottage, which is smack-dab in the centre of town. Once an antique showroom, this inviting homestead is now filled with local artwork – including paintings by the host's grandfather – as well as The Cotswold Company furniture and every amenity you can think of. Snuggle up with a book in front of the wood-burner, challenge the family to a board game around the dining table or relax with a soak in the sumptuous master bathtub. The private courtyard is the perfect spot to savour a cup of tea or a cocktail in the sun. In the evenings, light the barbecue and enjoy an alfresco meal, gathering around the fire pit for toasted marshmallows when the air turns chilly. 

Host Susy goes above and beyond, providing everything you'll need, be it a complete dinner set and kitchen loaded with appliances and crockery to the luxury toiletries in the bathrooms. She can even arrange restaurant reservations and has a whole slew of recommendations, so you'll be in excellent hands.

The Robins & The Roses

This Grade II listed Cotswold stone cottage is tucked away in the village of Upper Slaughter. From here, you can easily explore charming Cotswolds villages including nearby Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold – make sure you bring a car. The cottage is full of charm, and features ancient beams and an inglenook fireplace. Children will love the outdoor playroom, and the patio outside is great for summertime barbecues. The steep stairs here mean that this home won’t be suitable for everyone.

If you’re looking for an easy-going stay in the Cotswolds, this cottage in the village of Moreton-in-Marsh is just the ticket. The Horse & Groom pub is only a three-minute walk away, and you’ll reach Daylesford and Stow-on-the-Wold in no more than five minutes by car. Nestled between the postcard-perfect towns of Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold, this cottage makes exploring the Cotswolds a breeze. Scenic walks are on your doorstep, while the sleepy village of Fifield offers a slower pace of life without shops or conveniences. It's the perfect spot to unwind and take in the surrounding nature. The large garden has a table for alfresco lunching. Head inside and you'll find a comfortable living space with a working fireplace to make things extra cosy. There are zip-and-link beds in one bedroom and adult-sized bunk beds in another, which makes sleeping arrangements flexible for all groups.
