This honey-coloured cottage is what dreams are made of. You'll find Box Cottage nestled in a secret courtyard just off the main street in Broadway, a village so picturesque it looks like a film set. Plenty of boutiques, cafés and restaurants are within a two-minute walk from the front door. The home itself is an elegant, light-filled space. Tradition meets contemporary living here, with comfy squashy sofas and exposed wood beams. The crowning jewel is the beautiful courtyard and its pergola draped with wisteria. Spend summer evenings cooking dinner on the charcoal barbeque, or enjoy fresh winter mornings with a hot cup of coffee – this home really is the ultimate seasonal escape.

Theatrical Elegance

This period cottage, set within the grounds of a 15th-century castle fringing Winchcombe, has some impressive royal connections. Named after Queen Elizabeth I, who favoured the castle as a young princess, there’s heaps of history to uncover here. And luckily for you, there’s free entry to the castle and award-winning gardens included in your stay. It’s worth noting that if four of you stay, the living space will feel a little snug. However, there’s a private courtyard overlooking the woodlands to spill out into for alfresco mealtimes. Don’t fancy cooking? Winchcombe’s charming inns and tearooms are just a stroll away.

Lady Jane Grey & Princess Elizabeth

Set in Ford, an attractive hamlet along the banks of the River Windrush, this romantic cottage offers the highest levels of charm and comfort for your Cotswolds escape. It’s hidden away within the grounds of the host’s own home, but offers complete privacy. There’s a small but well-equipped galley kitchen with a Nespresso machine and milk frother for a little luxury morning coffee. But our favourite bit is the four-poster, king-size bed which guarantees a luxurious night’s sleep. just what you need after a day tackling some of the best hiking routes in the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds Way runs right by the cottage and walks around Sudeley Castle are just a few miles away.

Country Honey

This home is something else, so where do we even begin? Set between Stow and Cheltenham, it’s nestled to the edge of a wooded Cotswolds hamlet with beautiful views of surrounding greenery and grassland. Part of an estate (with a wonderful on-site pantry/cafe that serves excellent coffee), you have access to tennis courts, tranquil gardens, and a children's playground. Even though it’s an old historic property (antique lovers rejoice), it also has plenty of modern comforts like a hot tub, games room, and a secret cinema. Full of charm, it’s a characterful home that’s just waiting to be explored.

The Silver Knight

Perfect for a romantic rural retreat, this cottage is full of chocolate-box charm. Small in size, it still packs a punch with added extras such as the wood burner and roll-top bath, ideal for relaxing and warming up after a day out hiking the Cotswolds with your four-legged friends by your side. The cosy kitchen is well-equipped with all you need to rustle up homemade dinners, or for a meal out, the local pub is a mere two-minute walk away. 

The River's Edge

Nestled in the grounds of a 15th-century castle, and fringing the charming village of Winchcombe, this dog-friendly cottage is one-of-a-kind. Make sure to discover the fascinating history of the estate, which you’ll have complimentary access to. Once home to King Charles I and his nephew, Prince Rupert, the castle has impressive royal connections. It’s worth noting that the downstairs living space is compact and will feel particularly cosy if you have two dogs in tow. But there’s a decked terrace to spill out onto that you’ll share with another two cottages. Location-wise, Winchcombe, with traditional inns, tearooms and honey stone houses aplenty is just a short amble away.

A Royal Guest

Built in the 18th century, it's hard to believe this pretty Cotswolds cottage was once the village police station. Now beautifully modernised, it's a great choice for a family gathering. With all the country walks you could dream of on your doorstep, it's also super convenient – just a five-minute walk from the village shop, cafe and pub in Blockley. Set over three floors and built of the same traditional stone you'll see across the road at the local church, it's a striking building with black-framed, arched windows. Inside, the period features continue with beamed ceilings, wood floors and some exposed stone walls. We especially love the log burning stove in the fireplace opening between the living room and dining room. Extended to the rear, there's a stunning kitchen with a huge roof lantern bringing light in. With a country feel but modern appliances and underfloor heating, it's the best of both worlds. Elsewhere, bedrooms are comfortable and effortlessly stylish. The top floor bedroom is our favourite, with its beautiful bed, sloping ceiling and luxury bathroom. On sunny days, heat up the barbecue and enjoy your meal on the terrace, or step into the table tennis room in the garden and play a few games while dinner cooks. Here you'll be just a twelve-minute drive from Stow-on-the-Wold.

A Field in Bloom

You’ll find this charming cottage in Lower Slaughter, providing an ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Inside, the home is packed full of old school charm, but it’s the outdoor space that caught our eye. Vast lawns give way to pretty flowerbeds, and there are cosy seating areas to dine or simply kick back with a good book. Locally, there are plenty of walks to enjoy through Lower Slaughter that run along the River Eye, along with a village pub serving delicious meals. Within easy reach, you’ll also find Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford – all much deserving of a visit. 

The Cotswold Idyll

Dating back to the 17th century, this cottage is perfect for those looking for a slice of idyllic living. Based in the village of Stanton, you've got the Cotswolds on your doorstep here, ideal for intrepid explorers. At home, you'll find historic features alongside modern touches – we were particularly fond of the original inglenook fireplace and the kitchen's skylight. After a hike, you'll want to relax in the freestanding bathtub before enjoying a barbecue out in the garden. Alternatively, head to the nearby pub or cook up a roast in the well-equipped kitchen.

A Cotswold Delight

Whether you’re in search of a relaxing retreat or an action-packed adventure, this home welcomes you to enjoy it all from its peaceful spot in Temple Guiting. Outside, you can follow hiking trails through the Cotswolds countryside and explore nearby Stow-on-the-Wold (just 7 miles away). Private parking is available for two cars and there is a garden with a barbecue – perfect for warm-weather meals. Inside, the rooms are family-friendly and well-suited to groups in search of ease and comfort. And if you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion, your host can help organise sweet extras like a private chef and wine tastings.  

The Woodland

Set within the grounds of a 15th-century castle and within walking distance of the Cotswold's town of Winchcombe, the setting of this dog-friendly cottage is a knockout. Inside, the traditional interiors are befitting of this period home, and the wooden deck outside is a nice touch for evening drinks. Though it's worth noting, it's shared with the two neighbouring cottages, so it isn't the most private of spaces. Ready to stretch your legs? The castle and gardens, which you'll have complimentary access to, will keep you busy. Or mosey into charming Winchcombe with it's local inn – just 200 metres from your door.

The Old Forge

Nestled into the Sudeley Castle Estate, fringing the charming village of Winchcombe, you'll find this Cotswold stone 18th Century farmhouse. Spread out over three floors, with a separate annex to spill into, this home is the perfect country escape for an extended family or group of friends. Climb the flight of stairs to discover luxurious bedrooms to sleep all fourteen of you, with crisp, white linens and many with en-suites. Back downstairs, the layout is set up for easy socialising with a spacious kitchen made for action and two dining spaces. But there are also cosy nooks to retreat to, with a separate playroom and snug complete with a crackling fire.  Outside, kids and furry friends alike can roam free on the immaculate lawns, all under the watchful gaze of the grown-ups from the raised deck terrace as you fire up the barbecue. And when it's time to get out and about, you're right on the edge of Winchcombe, with restaurants, shops, and bars just a stroll away, as well as easy access to the area's many breathtaking walking trails. Or call in on your neighbourhoods at Sudeley Castle (ten minutes on foot) – guests have complimentary entrance during the open season, don't you know.
