At the top of Calton Hill, you'll have some truly breathtaking views from this historical home. It should be noted that the home's standout location does attract a number of tourists, so if you're looking for some peace and privacy it might not be for you. That said, the main bedroom enjoys an en-suite with a luxurious standalone bathtub, and there's outdoor seating to make the most of this stunning location.

Sitting at the foot of Edinburgh Castle, if this apartment isn’t the definition of a central setting, we don't know what is. You'll find it off the vibrant Grassmarket, an easy walk to historic Old Town and Princes Street Gardens. Shops, restaurants, pubs, landmarks – you name it, chances are you can reach it on foot. Back home, the design is more modern, but it still feels cosy. The kitchen is well-equipped for home cooking, while the living area features a sofa bed – just note the fee for linens. Even without castle views, we think it's a comfortable, practical option in an unbelievable location.
