This coastal home sits within beautiful grounds at the entrance to the village of Abersoch, making it an ideal setting for seaside escapes. The uninterrupted sea views are undoubtedly the star of the show here, and they can be enjoyed from inside and out. We love the flower-filled garden, and the front terrace with its table and chairs – it’s a stunning spot for afternoon tea. Inside, you’ll find high ceilings and antique furniture. Given that it’s a period home, it’s unsurprising that some of the decor is a little dated – it won’t appeal to everyone.

Gwynedd Glamour

This cute little cottage makes the most of its location right on the seafront. It’s just steps away from a small sandy bay where the sea laps at the shore of the Llyn Peninsula. You’ll be in the heart of Abersoch village, a charming harbour town where fishing boats bob in the water and beach cafés line the shore. If you like your beaches long and practically deserted, it’s an eight-minute drive to Porth Neigwl. The cottage itself is fishing-village white on the outside and has a handful of balconies and terraces all facing the beautiful sea view. There’s a walled patio with an outdoor fire for chilly evenings and a dining table on the terrace for sunny days. That’s not to mention the glass-fronted balcony that looks out over the boats in the harbour too. Inside, it’s cottage-chic with wooden floors and nautical decor touches – driftwood fireplaces and anchor cushions. The main living area is open plan, on the ground floor, where a living room is set around an electric stove and the big breakfasting table is set for six. Upstairs, a more formal living room opens up onto the top terrace with views out over the harbour below.  

Ysbryd y Môr

Situated south of the Llŷn Peninsula, the seaside village of Abersoch boasts pristine beaches, breathtaking scenery and serene waters primed for sailing. You'll find this home here, tucked away amidst the verdant pastures of the village's rural surroundings. Just a fifteen-minute stroll from the town centre, the harbour and the nearby golf course, not to mention a delightful tangle of beaches, this home provides a tranquil base for families and large groups.

Fringed by lush landscaped gardens and boasting an array of patios, this home beckons you to relax in nature. We love the outdoor dining area and lounge, dressed to the nines for comfort with plush seating and ample seating for alfresco banquets. Spend peaceful mornings roosted here, cradling a cup of tea as you admire your surroundings. After a day at the beach, retreat to the cosy open-plan living space to huddle around the flat-screen television before tucking into an alfresco feast at sunset.

For those seeking a peaceful family holiday in a beautiful setting, this imposing home situated right on the beachfront and majestically overlooking Cardigan Bay is an ideal find. 

You’ll feel instantly welcome here – this place feels alive and lived-in and is perfect for families seeking a laid-back base and that home-away-from-home feeling. The bright and cosy lounge area is framed by a large bay window – which just happens to look out to a bay too – and there is an abundance of space here for snuggling up and enjoying quality time together. Gather everyone for movie nights, and on chillier evenings make use of the fireplace to add to the cosiness. 

Rustle up delicious meals in the modern kitchen and enjoy them all together by the wooden dining table, strategically placed so that you can admire the magnificent views outside. Have a good night’s rest courtesy of the comfy bedrooms – they too reflect the family-friendly vibe of this home, with each room designed to cater to a different demographic. Kids will love the bunk bed while the more sophisticated, plush master bedroom will no doubt be a hit with slightly more grown-up guests. 

This home is all about the views – step outside and take in the natural beauty of the area or take a short stroll down the hill to the beach. There is also plenty of interesting short car rides to be had, with gorgeous fishing villages all around.

Right on the breathtaking Llyn Peninsula coastline in North West Wales, this spacious family home has all the trappings of a perfect holiday. Style and elegance abound here: we love the cool stone floors, and the exposed brickwork wall and kitchen island that doubles up as a breakfast bar. It’s all about open living downstairs, and each room flows into the next. Glass double doors open out onto the back patio, complete with a barbecue and dining table for al fresco meals.

Gather everyone together for family meals at the fourteen-seater dining table, or curl up in the living room for a movie. While the living areas have a cool, contemporary feel, upstairs prioritises comfort and cosiness, as well as unbeatable vistas – curl up on the chaise longue in the master bedroom for the best view down to the sea. Set across three floors, there’s plenty of space for everyone.

The house is in the heart of Abersoch, just a five minute stroll from the main beach, a sheltered expanse of golden sand with water that the kids can paddle in. Lined with beach huts, it’s a picturesque place to bring a picnic and spend the day building sandcastles and frolicking in the shallows. There's plenty of nearby activities for everyone to get involved in, from watersports, surfing and fishing, to practising your swing on the eighteen-hole course at Abersoch golf club, a seven-minute walk from the house.

Peninsula Blues

A two-minute walk from the fine sands and shallow water of Abersoch Harbour Beach, this home is perfect for a family or group of friends looking for a modern seaside escape. Inside, light and space are cleverly maximised – we loved the open-plan living area with its enormous windows and double-height ceilings. Your mornings begin here with a coffee on the comfortable sofa before choosing to breakfast on one of the sun trap balconies. 

If exploring is on the agenda, lace up your hiking boots and follow the Wales Coastal Path to Pwllheli or stay local and take the ten-minute amble into the heart of town for indie shops and fantastic seafood eateries. Surfing enthusiasts should make a beeline for Hell’s Mouth, a seven-minute drive away – keep an eye out for Bottlenose dolphins as you carve through the waves. When the day draws to a close, head back to your pad for a chilled glass of wine as the sun starts to set and an early night in the cosy bedrooms, ready to do it all again tomorrow.

Under Milk Wood

A peaceful stay awaits you at this charming cottage, located just a stone's throw away from Abersoch Harbour Beach, on the Llyn Peninsula in stunning North Wales. This home has all the classic features of a characterful cottage, with quaint design features such as exposed beam ceilings and a wood burner fireplace, together with recent refurbishment as well as all the mod cons that make your stay feel absolutely effortless.

Outside, you'll find a lovely alfresco dining set on your raised terrace, from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the village around you – ideal for tucking into tasty lunches of laverbread and cockles with your loved ones.

Inside, there are plenty of places to rest and enjoy some you-time, with a lovely lounge area where you can curl up by the fire with a good book, as well as a large country kitchen where you can cook up full Welsh breakfasts.

Peace in Periwinkles

Set back on a peaceful, private cul-de-sac, yet just five minutes walking distance from the local village's beach boutiques, wine bars, and eateries – this perfectly positioned holiday home undoubtedly boasts the Abersoch appeal. 

Inside, contemporary interiors ensure a comfortable stay with sleek and inviting designs throughout. We particularly love the large kitchen and dining area, which extends the indoor living space – outside and onto the terrace. On a clear day, you might be able to spot the blue sea views in the distance. After all, this home resides only a seven-minute stroll away from the sandy shores of Abersoch Beach. 

After a fun-filled day of soaking up the quintessential British seaside experience or following a round of golf at Abersoch Golf Club – head home to unwind over a group barbecue on the terrace. With the local park and playground located a minute's walk away, you'll find keeping the kids entertained here an absolute breeze. Since the home is gated, rest assured in knowing that younger children can also play freely in the garden at their own leisure. 

Come evening time; you'll have the choice of strolling down to one of the local pubs for a nightcap or curling up in front of the fireplace for a cosy night in. But at the end of a long day amidst the fresh sea air – where better to sip your glass of wine than from the large free-standing bathtub? Oh, and the underfloor heating makes getting out of the bath that little bit easier too. 



The Abersoch Appeal

You’re within walking distance of the beach – the soft sand of Abersoch Bay is three minutes on foot. If you want something more grand and sweeping than the harbour-side beach, head to Porth Neigwl, a six-minute drive away. The home itself has some serious wow-factor, starting with the hot tub in the garden and plush rattan sofa set on the patio, perfect for evening cocktails or barbecue lunch. Inside, you’ll find the main living room on the top floor, taking advantage of a view over the village out to where the fishing boats bob out at sea. It’s part of an open-plan living area that spreads across the whole top floor, all natural light from walls of glass and sleek eave angles. Bedrooms are all on the ground floor, with the master opening up to the private garden.

The Skylark's Song

Charming and homely, this countryside cottage sits in the picturesque village of Abersoch, and so is just a short stroll from some beautiful beaches, as well as friendly pubs, quaint tea rooms and independent shops. You're also just a short drive from the Llŷn AONB, filled with great hiking trails and cycling paths. This home has some gorgeous outdoor areas where you can enjoy the summer sunshine, with loungers, an alfresco dining set and a balcony where you can enjoy wonderful views over the home's lush and leafy surroundings.

The Unicorn Song

This family home is mere footsteps from Abersoch’s soft-sanded beach, and a short dander sees you in the centre of this harbour town for meals out and coastal strolls. It feels undeniably beachy in a white clapboard exterior reminiscent of the beach huts nearby. Inside, the space is far from shed-like though, with towering ceilings in the open living area and a wall of windows showing off the view of the fields outside Abersoch. A cast-iron stove in the living room and purring Aga in the kitchen provide warmth in a traditional way and the dedicated double wine fridge in the dining area can keep your whites cool as you like. 

If the sun makes an appearance, there’s a long dining table for the group out on the patio, and an added bonus is the rooftop balcony, accessed by a spiral staircase, and looking out over the countryside towards the sea. 

The Seashell Harvester

This sleek, modern house only needs to decorate its walls with windows, showcasing the great outdoors of Abersoch’s exquisite coastline. Its smart interior, with fabulously open-plan living space, all points towards the natural landscape that lies just outside your door. 

Inside, oak wood tones, blues, and a natural colour palette keep the sea at the forefront of your mind, without overdoing the seaside theme. A huge, squashy sofa makes for a great place to put your feet up after a country walk, and there's a log burner for cosy evenings in winter. A new kitchen, complete with all the mod-cons, makes cooking at home a pleasure, and it's easy to spill out onto the terrace on fine days.


Just a short walk away, sea and surf await you on the shores of Cardigan Bay. With traditional village pubs dotted along the route down, it would be a shame not to stop off for a drink on the way back. But as evening draws in, be sure to head back home – the hot tub is the place to be as the sun sets.
