If you’re feeling adventurous, the entrance to Snowdonia National Park is only a fifteen-minute drive away, while a forty-minute drive will take you right to mighty Snowdon mountain itself. South of Snowdon mountain, you can conquer the peaks of Cader Idris, Aran Fawddwy, and Berwyn – all under an hour's drive away. Meanwhile, the gorgeous Lake Bala and the nearby village of Bala are only ten minutes away by car.

At night, settle down by the fire pit and enjoy those clear, peaceful skies, before snuggling down inside onto the couch with a warming brew and if you can find it, a sweet slice of Bara birth – a traditional Welsh tea bread. 


Bike Barn

There aren't many homes in our collection where you could feasibly arrive by kayak rather than by car, but this is one of them. Perched on the side of the Menai Strait, this four-storey gem dates back to the Victorian era and benefits from beautiful views of the sea, Bangor Pier and the Snowdonia mountain range. The town of Beaumaris with its castle, pier and beach take just six minutes to reach in the car, while you can get to Penrhyn Zip World in twenty minutes if you're looking for hi-octane thrills.

Hire a fishing rod or stroll around the water’s edge, stopping for a well-deserved cup of tea in the café along the way.

Mountain bikers can head fifteen minutes to Coed y Brenin for scenic off-beaten tracks and traditional pubs. There are also beaches to explore in Barmouth, where you can choose to paddle board or sit back and relax on the sand. Estuary Retreat

This delightful townhouse is on the beachfront of quiet Rhos-on-Sea. For a coastal getaway and the chance to experience the charm of a small town, look no further. 

The house is just across the road from the beach, so each morning you’ll wake up to the sound of the sea gently rushing to shore. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room showcase the home’s prime beachfront location – if you’re anything like us, you’ll lose track of how long you spend gazing at the peaceful view. There’s a small garden at the front of the house, where you might enjoy a cuppa while watching the fishing boats in the distance, as well as a sunny patio at the back of the house, ideal for takeaway dinners of fish and chips after long days spent on the beach.

Bike House

There were plenty of reasons why this penthouse apartment made it into our collection, but let's start with the most obvious. When guests step out onto the ornate white balcony, they're greeted with stunning views over the Dyfi Estuary and Cardigan Bay, stretching all the way down the Ceredigion Coastline. As is often the case with coastal locations, there's just so much sky and this uninterrupted panorama brings the added benefit of meaning the interior is flooded with natural light through the windows and skylights. This is emphasised pleasingly by the stark white walls and it makes for a wonderfully bright space to sprawl out on the tan leather sofa. As you can probably tell from looking out the window, Aberdyfi Beach sits just across the street and there are cafes and pubs along the seafront for when you fancy a refreshment. Slightly further afield, there are opportunities for birdwatching in RSPB Ynys-hir and Dyfi Osprey Project, both taking around half an hour to reach in the car.

The Bells of Aberdyfi

In the idyllic mining own of Blaenau Ffestiniog, this home was once an old chapel dating back to 1861. The building has been lovingly renovated, featuring an open-plan kitchen and snug area ideal for family living. There’s a pool table here too, which is boung to keep both the kids and grown-ups entertained for a few hours. When it comes to things to see and do, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities. We recommend heading into town to rent bikes and exploring some of the many biking routes on offer, which will have you riding past old quarries, lakes and rivers.
