If you're a keen birdwatcher, you'll love this home's location on the banks of Foryd Bay, a nature reserve in North Wales that sees huge numbers of different species migrate to the area for winter. However, even if your interest in wildlife is less obsessive, we're sure you'll still fall for the sweeping views of the Menai Strait and Snowdonia in the other direction.

Sitting in the middle of the tiny Snowdonian village of Dinas Mawddwy, this building was once the locale's Wesleyan chapel, but today it's been respectfully converted into a rather remarkable place to stay. Plenty of the period features remain, including the original brickwork, pew seats at the dining table and the tall lancet windows that look out to Welsh hillsides, as well as bathing the interior with natural light.
