You'll find everything you need for a relaxing coastal retreat in this charming house, be it board games and books or ping-pong and Prime. Every inch is warm and welcoming, with cushy sofas, a crackling wood stove and a contemporary kitchen/diner ideal for rustling up homecooked meals. Upstairs, two sumptuous bedrooms promise a restful night's sleep, but what we love most is the sunlit courtyard. We think it's the perfect spot to lounge with a cup of tea or a refreshing G&T as the day draws to a close. 

Newport is a pretty market town on the north coast of Pembrokeshire, situated at the foot of Carnigli Mountain and the Preseli Hills. There's an array of eateries, including small cafes and old-fashioned pubs, within walking distance, as well as independent shops and galleries. Newport Beach isn't far – about a half-hour stroll along the coastal path – while historic sites like Pentre Ifan, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and Nevern Castle are less than ten minutes by car.

On Gentle Tides

You can almost hear the mellow jazz playing as you walk around this sumptuous, modern home. Or, on balmy evenings, open the bi-folding doors to the rear terrace where a barbecue tempts alfresco feasts. And then there are the swoon-worthy bedrooms upstairs. Whether you’re staying in the blush-coloured boudoir, the green jungle room, or the two trendy twin rooms, you’ll feel like you’re laying in the lap of luxury when you settle in for the night. With the sea and Carningli Mountain both just a ten-minute walk away, this spectacular home is the ideal base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast in style. 


Major House

A tranquil country getaway in Wales, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Every day can be a new adventure of discovering what Pembrokeshire offers. Start by catching some waves on the coast and surfing. If that's not your thing, try sea kayaking – Pembrokeshire's fresh Atlantic seas, incredible coastal scenic views, and astounding variety of wildlife make it a kayaking paddler's paradise. After a day of swimming around, we recommend stopping by a cafe for some tea and Welshcakes.

You'll feel pampered when you return to your cosy home, from a welcoming living room decorated with plush sofas to polished wooden floors and a fireplace to make you feel at ease. The baby blue kitchen is gorgeous, perfect for preparing a hearty meal after a day of seaside adventures. But you have to remember to start your day stepping through the french doors into the south-facing garden with your morning mug of coffee for the brisk air.


Cyan Coast

There’s a Mountain of Angels called Carn Ingli that overlooks Newport. And perfectly situated to experience the magic of this landscape, this home welcomes guests with a sense of warmth and tradition. 

Located in the heart of the town, there's an abundance of character in this home. The cosy living area features a traditional wood fire, while the kitchen has a classic AGA and a great selection of cookery books. This is a great place to gather with friends and family. Whether it’s cooking and enjoying a lively dinner together, or finding serenity in one of the beautiful bedrooms - there’s something for everyone here.

The home is in a great location to make the most of the area. Step outside and explore the local shops, pubs and restaurants from your doorstep, or explore the spectacular countryside. For a day at the local beach - Parrog is only a nineteen-minute walk away, or wind your way along the renowned Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

As the day draws to a close, you’ll love coming home to relax in the hot tub. Light up the BBQ and enjoy the tranquillity of the gardens with the ones you love.  

A River of Light

Set on the banks of the Nevern estuary, this spacious family home – with large private gardens and a seating terrace – offers the perfect Welsh break. Wake up to amazing views across the estuary. Let your four-legged friends roam free in the spacious garden and the children let off steam on sunny days, while you enjoy reading a good book on the comfy outdoor seating under the shade of the home’s awning. 

Just outside the home’s gate, you will find access straight to the estuary which leads to Newport Bay and Parrog – reachable in just twenty-three minutes on foot, which makes it ideal for a leisurely walk together. Then return home in the late afternoon for Welsh cake warmed in the Aga. 

In the evenings, cosy up on the big squashy sofa in front of the wood burner with your dog curled up at your feet as you watch your family's favourite film. Or, on warmer days head out to the patio with a gin and tonic and let the children tire themselves out for bedtime as they run around the lawns. 

Cartref Glan y Môr

For a coastal cottage with every comfort, look no further. This cosy home can be found in Newport, Pembrokeshire, and offers exquisite views of the rugged yet beautiful coast. 

There’s plenty of room for the whole family, including a twin room upstairs with its own lounge and kitchenette – it’s ideal for teenagers or a couple who want a bit more space. The rest of the home is spread over the ground floor, which has a bright open-plan living space at its heart. Start your day with a hearty breakfast around the dining table while you plan your stay. Make sure you head into Newport on Monday morning to shop at the farmers’ market – you’ll be able to pick up the freshest local produce for your meals. You can also dine at the local pub – which is within walking distance of the cottage. 

A seven-minute drive will get you to Newport Beach, a dune-backed sandy stretch that you’re sure to love. There’s windsurfing and canoeing for those that don’t mind getting their feet wet, and the beach is lovely for a wind-swept stroll. Of course, you can also stay warm in the cafe with a cuppa while the rest of your group works up an appetite. 

After a day out in the elements, the cottage is bliss to return to. Sink into a comfortable seat and sip a glass of wine while you take in the breath-taking views from the living room.
