Surrounded by thriving pastoral land and rolling hills, this secluded villa is also just fifteen minutes from Crete's capital, Chania. On your way to its paradisal plot, pass fields of olive, avocados and citrus trees. The fresh scents continue into your private garden, where aromatic herbs and plants grow. Lavender, thyme and marjoram are just some of the fragrances you'll find wafting into the villa.

When you're not lounging by the private pool, cool off in the bright living area – if you're putting your feet up on the sofa, slide open the glass doors to let that Cretan breeze in. Try your hand at traditional Greek cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen, then take your creations outside to enjoy al fresco. The master bedroom comes with a spacious private terrace that boasts panoramic views over the idyllic landscape. We can't think of a better place to watch the sun go down.

When you make it into Chania, make sure you visit the old Venetian port and lighthouse. A warren of labyrinthine streets cluster around this historic landmark – as your wind your way through, keep an eye out for Moorish and Turkish influences, too. 

Avocado Abode

Perched among magnificent green hills and just a short stroll from the charming Agia Marina village and its picturesque beach, Decanted is the perfect Crete getaway. The comfort and ultra-luxurious interior of this home make it a romantic nesting place for couples looking to explore the surrounding area or simply relax in style. The kitchen is a little small sure, but the island views make up for it. Soak them up by taking a dip in the pool or by admiring the sunset over drinks at the casual outside area. The large windows add plenty of natural light to the open-plan structure of the home, creating a tranquil ambiance where guests will feel at one with nature at all times.

Decanted

Found at the top of a winding mountain road, this villa’s panoramic views over the sea and surrounding countryside are breathtaking. There’s a reason the site where the villa sits was once used by the Resistance during World War II as a vantage point for watching approaching troops. The grounds are fringed by olive groves where you’ll find hidden nooks for alfresco drinks and dining, but the highlight of the outside is undoubtedly the private pool with its incredible vistas. Inside, the decor is somewhat dated in parts, but large arched windows and access to the wraparound terrace are nice touches. For essentials during your stay, the sleepy village of Apano Stalos has got you covered with its mini-mart and tavernas, while the golden beaches of Kato Stalos and Agia Apostoli are a ten-minute drive away. 


Melodious Nature

Whether you're taking a dip in the private pool, soaking up the ocean views from the balcony or snuggling up for a movie night in the media room, this modern villa promises a bit of rest, a little relaxation and a whole lot of amenities. Everything you'll need is taken care of – there are soft linens and hypoallergenic pillows on every bed, fluffy robes and slippers in each bathroom and a hamper filled with essentials (including wine from local vineyards) waiting for you on arrival. Oh, and did we mention the small gym in the basement and the hydromassage tub in the main bathroom? While they're perfect for workouts and soaking sore muscles, the bright and open living space is ideal for hanging out after a long day in the sun. 

When you fancy a day on the coast, Kalamaki Beach is only 150 metres away, so grab your towel and sprawl out on the sand. Just a little further is Chania – a ten-minute drive – where museums, eateries and the Venetian port promise plenty of adventures in the Cretan sun.

Blending classic and contemporary design, come and see how this New York-style apartment surrounds the iconic Vitruvian Man with exposed brickwork. An undeniably cool spot to graze on a Greek cheeseboard after sightseeing, we love that this home prioritises the flow of indoor-outdoor living. Each morning, simply slip out onto your sun-kissed balcony and relish the warm weather. No matter if you're chilling out around the coffee table or sipping ouzo at the breakfast bar, it's a great base for travellers who just want to get up and go.

Sitting on the edge of Chania's old town, you're only a short stroll away from the tourist hotspots of Chalidon Street and the Venetian Port. A mere 130 metres from your doorstep, perhaps Nea Chora Beach will beckon you to sunbathe atop golden sands and saunter along the restaurant-lined seafront. Alternatively, with easy access to the motorway, planning out road trips to the cities of Rethymnon and Heraklion couldn't be simpler.

The Little Apple

This stunning home is a contemporary beachside haven. Awash in white, the pop of admiral blue reflects the beauty of the Greek coast which sits happily within easy reach of your home.

This complex of two modern villas, each with four double bedrooms, is a great solution for large families or groups of friends travelling together and wanting to stay in close proximity while also enjoying their privacy. Perfect for family and friend get-togethers, there are 5000 square metres of grounds to enjoy, including a large private swimming pool, as well as a football and basketball pitch.
