It’s easy to unwind at this villa in Torre Suda. There’s plenty of room to relax, with a large garden, an infinity pool, and an alfresco dining area that’s perfect for summer barbecues. Just note that two guests will be sleeping on the living room sofa bed. The sea is just 300 metres away, so beach days are a given. Your host can also arrange massages, horse riding, and local experiences to help you make the most of your stay. This is a quieter part of the coast, so we recommend hiring a car to explore nearby beaches and restaurants.

An Oasis

With its shaded outdoor living area, private pool and views of the Ionian Sea, this home invites you to drop your bags and spend your days outside. While it may be hard to tear yourself away from the sunny terrace, there’s plenty to like about the interior too – we love the blue and white colour scheme makes it feel beachy throughout. And that’s to say nothing of the location – it’s a ten-minute walk to the coast, and a twenty-minute drive to the popular seaside town of Gallipoli, where you’ll find sandy beaches, historic Baroque buildings and delicious local cuisine.

Ionian Views

Set close to the coast for easy beach days, this villa ticks all the boxes for a happy holiday. There’s a lounger-lined pool for sunbathing and swimming, a shaded terrace for alfresco meals, and plenty of space to get comfy, both inside and out. The rooms are laid out across four individual apartments (some with extra sofa beds), making this a great pick for a group getaway or big family trip. And you’ll love the location too, with seaside towns and scenic bays to discover on your doorstep.

Coastal Echoes

Spend a serene stay at this incredible villa in Taviano, a picturesque town based in the province of Lecce and nicknamed the ‘city of flowers’ for its famous flower fields. You’ll love exploring the Old Town, where sugar-cube buildings sit next to Baroque palaces, and you can find delicious restaurants, trendy bars and quaint cafes. You’re also a short drive from the beaches of Gallipoli, home to classy beach bars and crystal-clear waters.

Characterful touches such as beam ceilings, reclaimed driftwood and natural stone brickwork await inside, along with a neutral colour scheme that invokes a real sense of calm. This is all combined with modern amenities that make your stay feel seamless. You’ll be even more wowed by the outside, with a large garden featuring a stunning outdoor pool where you can swim and splash under the hot sun. There are also plenty of places to chill out, all speckled with palm trees to make it feel like you’ve entered true paradise. The sun loungers invite you to relax poolside with a cocktail on hot summer days, while the covered dining terrace provides the ideal place to feast with family and friends. There’s also a dining area on the rooftop terrace that makes for a great sundowner spot. 

Dreamy Driftwood

Nestled in a quiet corner of Puglia, this villa makes group holidays feel like a breeze. There’s a large outdoor pool and a shaded terrace made for long, alfresco feasts. Inside, it’s bright and airy with plenty of space for all 16 of you to pile in. We love how family-friendly it is too, with bunk beds in two of the bedrooms and a playground for little ones. For the adults, there’s a hot tub to sink into as the sun goes down. And when you're in need of a change of scene, the beach is just a short drive away.

Sunny Gatherings

You’ll have your pick of outdoor spaces that make the most of the beautiful Puglian weather in this small villa. Ideal for a getaway for two, it’s perfect for a romantic stay in the sun. Take a dip in the pool – shared with the neighbouring property – and dry off on a lounger before having afternoon tea on the private shaded terrace. Though the kitchen is on the smaller side, there are no in-unit laundry facilities, and one person will need to sleep on the sofa bed at full occupancy, the location more than makes up for it. It’s a five-minute drive to the seaside town of Torre Vado, where beaches and restaurants await.

Salento Pearl

This beautiful Torre Suda home is ideal for a family or group of friends. It’s bright and cheerful, with quirky decor and sea views – you’ll be just 30 metres from the crystal clear waters of Torre Suda. If you’re not a fan of saltwater, swim in the private pool instead. There’s plenty of outside space here, with sunloungers and a shaded pergola for dining alfresco. One of the bedrooms can sleep up to four guests, making it ideal for parents to share with little ones. 

Jewel's View

Rustic in design and classy in nature, this apartment emulates the magic of a secret hideaway, oozing traditional features that you would expect from a chic Italian home. Our favourite spot is the undercover outdoor space, with a delightful hot tub lined with candles. With a seating area making up the rest of the space, a morning coffee or relaxed dinner alfresco would be a lovely way to while away a few hours in this special place. 
 
Inside, it is just as charming – the traditional Italian floor tiling is a masterpiece in itself. Coupled with white-wash walls and stone ceilings, there are elements that will make you think of a grand cathedral. Cool and comfortable, the bedrooms are a lovely peaceful sanctuary from the daytime sun. We love how there is a gentle nod to contemporary style with backlighting on some stunning antique features.
 
On your doorstep, you will be greeted by many restaurants. Follow the smell of garlic and a large bowl of pasta, with a bottle of chilled wine, will await. The traditional features of your home-away-from-home are mirrored beautifully as you meander through the local cobbled streets, which are equally as charming as they are sophisticated. Everything you would want from an Italian stay. 

Let Me Tell You a Secret

This chic, modern villa is an ideal base for a family or small group of friends seeking a coastal stay. Packed full of Puglian charm, you’ll find everything needed for a comfortable break here, but the cherry on top for us is the outdoor space. Sun-kissed terraces, a private pool, alfresco dining opportunities and sea views stretching for miles – what’s not to love? Locally, it’s a mere six kilometres to Santa Maria di Leuca and less than four kilometres from the beaches of Pescoluse Torre Vado – there’s something for everyone here.

Apulian Breeze

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Salento at this contemporary home. Just a short distance from the beach, you’re guaranteed a tranquil escape when you stay here. We love the open-plan layout indoors, which is bathed in natural light, while the serene bedrooms will have you resting easily at the end of a busy day. Outdoors, there’s a wooded area, covered terrace and a private pool – what’s not to love? If the scent of the sea tempts you away from home, make the short trip to Pescoluse beach. Dubbed the Maldives of Salento, it’s the perfect place to unwind. 

Salento Calling

This cosy apartment comes with its own private terrace that's perfect for an aperitif alfresco. It also has access to a shared swimming pool and gardens. And, while the kitchen may be on the smaller side, it has everything you could need to whip up a light bite. Plus, you'll have your pick of restaurants and authentic eateries in Torre Vado. Walk to the beach and spend your days soaking up the sun, or hop in the car and visit Otranto, Lecce, or Galipoli, all just a short drive away. All things considered, this home would work nicely for those hoping to see the best of Puglia.

The Coastal Walk

A hidden gem in the far south of Italy's heel, this peaceful Puglian getaway is the stuff dreams are made of. Located in the enchanting village of Specchia, you're sandwiched between the Adriatic and Ionian seas, a twenty-five-minute drive from the picture-perfect azure waters and white sand of Pescoluse aka. The Maldives of Salento. Your marvellous Masseria boasts five suites divided across four units around the property, each with a private entrance. So while there's more than enough space for ten of you to gather together to relax and recharge, you're also guaranteed some much-needed privacy. The outdoor areas are where this home comes into its own – life is meant to be lived outside. Long, lazy days can be spent lounging by the stunning swimming pool set within a lush walled garden, gather together for family feasts in the shade of the pergola, and spend afternoons relaxing in the outdoor lounge. Here in Salento, the best plan is no plan at all.
