It's not style over substance here though – with tonnes of amenities at your disposal, there’s plenty to keep you occupied on days you don’t feel like venturing out. Slather on some suncream and go for a dip in the private pool, get a couple of new recipes under your belt with an in-home cooking class, or indulge in a solo yoga session in the fresh air. Then, when it’s time to eat, pour yourself a well-deserved aperitivo and head out onto the terrace for a spot of alfresco dining with all your favourite people. After all, isn’t that what summer escapes are all about? 

Tiptoe on the Terrace

The property is a stunning hillside hideaway along the coastline of Sorrento. This old farmhouse is a dreamy retreat overlooking the Gulf of Naples, Capri Island, and the Mediterranean Sea. Interiors combine modern elegance, attention to individual comforts, and vibrant contrasts defined by custom-designed tiles in every room, bathroom, and living space. The interiors open out onto a spacious patio featuring lounging furniture, a dining table, a private pool surrounded by Mediterranean gardens, and panoramic views. The living space is decorated with contemporary design furniture and two sofas, a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area with a cozy fireplace overlooking the gardens and the islands. The three queen-size bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms feature contemporary design elements, walk-in rain showers, and a complete range of toiletries for a remarkable experience of comfort. The suite in the garden combines modernity with a country feel decorated with custom-designed tiles, a queen-size bed, and en-suite bathroom. The elegant bedroom offers a sense of privacy and opens out onto a patio with stunning views across the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius.

Sorrento Serenity

Perched on a hill overlooking the Bay of Naples, this home is truly lovely. Spread over three floors, with a living room, kitchen, bedrooms and at least one bathroom on each floor, it’s an ideal base for a few families to share. Everyone can enjoy their own space and still gather together easily. 

We love the outside space here, whether it’s the sunny private swimming pool and the sun loungers alongside it, or the balconies. You can prepare your breakfast and morning coffee and take it outside to enjoy in the sunshine, all the while drinking in those marvellous views. You can always find a spot in the shade too, ideal for the afternoon when the Italian sun is beating down on the tiles.

Inside, you can enjoy the view from the living rooms and kitchens too. Windows are a big part of the traditional decor here, so if you need to take a break from the sun you won’t miss out. The bedrooms are elegant and pretty, with something to love about each room. Will you go for the four-poster bed and make the most of having your own piano? Or might you prefer to have a sofa to read on in the mornings? There’s so much charm in this delightful home.

Amalfi Escape

With panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, this villa is all about kicking back and relaxing in the sunshine. Shops, restaurants and cafes are found in Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, a short drive away, but if you’d like to explore further afield, Sorrento is reached in under thirty minutes. The home boasts a fenced garden (ideal if you’re travelling with small children or pets) and a swimming pool. There’s also a private path around the grounds for strolls at dusk. And to top it off, a cleaning team visits six days a week, so you won’t need to lift a finger. 

Soul & Serenity

Located at the foot of Lattari Mountains, on the outskirts of Sant’Agata sui Dui Golfi and 9 kilometres from Sorrento, this minimalist home is a place for taking it easy in the glorious Italian sunshine. Inside, white-washed walls and floors are brightened up with pops of blue and red in the open-concept living space, creating a soothing yet uplifting atmosphere.

If you like to keep active on your holidays, stretch your legs with a ramble through the Sentiero delle Sirenuse hiking area, located a short drive away. Or why not spend the day exploring the fascinating Pompeii Archaeological Site. Return to your abode in the early evening for a relaxing soak in your bedroom’s free-standing tub before watching a knockout sunset from your private terrace – we think it’s an experience best enjoyed with a limoncello spritz in hand.

Moon in Blue

This villa surrounded by centuries-old olive trees on a Campania hillside has a wealth of outdoor space, which is just as well really given that the view of the Gulf of Naples stretching into the distance is nothing short of sublime.

When the sun makes an appearance – as is it's wont to do in this corner of Italy – there's a range of ways to make the most of warm weather, whether that's cooling off in the swimming pool, cooking up something spectacular in the wood-burning oven or finding a quiet spot to read on one of the balconies.

There are plenty of delights behind the villa's whitewashed walls, too. The design balances contemporary and traditional features rather deftly, with aquamarine tiles and spa-worthy bathrooms sitting alongside exposed stonework and antique furnishings. The faces of those with musical talent will light up at the sight of the grand piano, too.

When it comes to getting to know the surrounding Sorrentine Peninsula, the centre of Massa Lubrense is 400 metres from the front door and the sandy Marina della Lobra beach is another 100 metres further. The town of Sorrento is 5km away up the coastline and offers visitors cafe-lined squares, quaint alleyways and even more sweeping views.


Race You to the Beach

Situated in the quiet village of Torca, this traditional villa is a comfortable base from which to explore the Amalfi Coast and beyond. Turning off Il Nastro Verde – or ‘the green ribbon’, a road which runs from Sorrento to the village of Sant’Agata sui due Golfi – and onto a cobbled track, the home slowly emerges from behind its veiling cloak of leaves. Built from volcanic rock and adorned with vines, the building itself gives the impression of having emerged from the landscape, figuring itself as a natural feature of its spellbinding surroundings. 

Step inside, and in many ways back in time as you try to take in the plethora of original features that look as though they have been lifted straight out of a film set, or animated from the canvas of some famed Italian artist. Carefully selected furniture compliments a seasoned wood ceiling that has overlooked the various comings and goings within the home for centuries, whilst the tile floor has in many places been worn to a fine patina by the many feet which have trod over it. A cherished collection of art and fascinating photographs festoon the walls, showcasing not only the villa’s history but also the care and devotion bestowed upon it by the owners.

Though the feel of this home is distinctly old-world, its captivating charm imbued with a certain fairytale-like essence, the amenities you can enjoy are anything but outdated. Keen home cooks in particular will rejoice when they see the traditional-style kitchen. Intricately tiled and finished with that archetypal Italian blend of gleaming highly polished wood and elegant marble that’s cool to the touch, the collection of bright copper pots and pans hanging overhead (not to mention the store of prestigious vintage wines and cured meats to be found in the vaulted cellars) will inspire anyone to cook – from the rustiest amateurs to fricasseeing virtuosos! Whip up mouth-watering pasta dishes laden with regional cheeses and sprinkled liberally with aromatic herbs, or take things alfresco at the authentic wood-fired pizza oven. Whilst this home is good for the soul, providing a glimpse into history and a way of life now dissipating, it may not be so good for the waistline!  

The outdoor spaces provide plenty of seating areas nestled among free-formed lushly verdant gardens lovingly planted with synchronistic flora and fauna, or on the various terraces that look out over the gently undulating landscapes around Massa Lubrense and the stunning Sorrento countryside. Its hillside location among ancient lemon and olive groves makes this an ideal choice for those of you with an inclination towards wandering, as you will find numerous paths winding through untouched greenery and shaded by walnut trees to explore on foot. 

Amazing views over the shimmering Bay of Naples and Salerno await you in the nearby hilltop village of Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi whilst the inimitable Amalfi Coast, with its emblematic pastel-hued villages clinging implausibly to rock faces that plunge into aquamarine waters, are within easy reach by car.

The Green Ribbon

For elegance and luxury on the Amalfi Coast, look no further than this spectacular hilltop villa, situated 11km outside the romantic seaside city of Sorrento. Set over two floors, the villa's terracotta tones create a unified theme that perfectly links the interior and exterior spaces. While most of the inside space is decorated in pristine white, with dark wood and the occasional pop of colour, the hand-painted majolica tiles catch the eye.

The open ground floor layout is made to feel even larger thanks to seamless access to the outdoors through arched doorways that lead out onto the patio. It's out here where we've envisaged you spending most of your time, soaking up the sun.

Complete with over 4,300 sqft of outdoor terrace space within 1.5 acres of private grounds, plus a unique rooftop pool, the home boasts jaw-dropping views over the Gulf of Naples and the islands of Capri Ischia and Procida.

From here, you can board a ferry for the twenty-minute crossing to the elegant island of Capri.
