With all of Sorrento’s attractions within walking distance, this apartment has a great location. You'll be just moments away from shops, cafes, restaurants and bars too. From here, you can easily explore the Amalfi Coast, the island of Capri, and the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Ercolano as well. The apartment itself is cosy and the open-plan living space sleeps two guests on a sofa bed at full occupancy. There’s a small balcony which overlooks the communal gardens and courtyard as well. You’ll also have access to one of the host’s resorts, which has a pool, but this is 10 kilometres away. This apartment offers a comfortable base for exploring this beautiful town.

Housed in a residential building, this sleek room offers a convenient hotel alternative for solo travellers or couples, equipped with everything needed for a fuss-free stay. Location-wise, you're in the heart of Sorrento, just a short walk from the beach. You'll also be within easy reach of the port, with restaurants and bars on your doorstep – handy, as this pad doesn't come with a kitchen. The interiors are a little basic for our liking, but it's modern and there's a dedicated workspace. Plus, the freestanding tub is the perfect place to relax after busy days spent travelling.

With impressive views across Napoli bay, this apartment makes it easy to experience the charm of Sorrento. It’s worth noting some of the furnishings are a little dated, but it’s a great option for families and groups in search of simplicity and ease in a fantastic location. It's situated in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw from the coast, Piazza Tasso, and the city's bustling shops and eateries. Exploring on foot is a breeze here – a good thing, too, as parking isn't provided. As for the design back home, it has everything you'd want for a city break. There's a sleek (albeit somewhat small) kitchen, a modern living area with a sofa bed for the fifth guest, and a duo of bedrooms and bathrooms.

From here, you can spend days on Leonelli’s Beach, dine in the waterfront trattorias and explore the Piazza Tasso.

Exploring the old streets, local trattorias and historical sites couldn't be easier – Sorrento's Basilica di Sant'Antonino is just around the corner. The home is perfect for families or small groups, with a master bedroom and a second bedroom on a mezzanine level overlooking the main space (where you'll also find a sofa bed). You're only a seven-minute walk from the closest beach, but your host also provides you with complimentary access to their resort pool and restaurant around 12 km away.

There's no doubt it's stylish, but it's also packed with modern amenities that make your stay a dream, from rainfall showers to a kitchen where you'll love rustling up Italian feasts. We adore the quirky touches here, too – our favourite is the stone wall in the shower, which uses the rocky facade of the mountain. 

Did we mention the two sun-kissed balconies? Both offer excellent spots to breathe in the coastal breezes and bask in Sorrento's good weather. Whether you're dining alfresco under the shady parasol or sharing a bottle of Italian wine on the outdoor sofas, this is the place to sit back, relax and fall in love with Sorrento.

Location-wise, you can't do much better. Beaches, eateries and shops are all just steps away. Take a stroll along the postcard-pretty marina in the mornings, followed by lunch at a waterfront restaurant. Do some sightseeing in the historic centre in the afternoons, including a wander around Piazza Tasso and a stop off at the Cattedrale dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo. You're also about an hour or so drive from Naples and Pompeii – perfect for day trips.

You couldn’t dream up a more central location for this Sorrento apartment. You're just five minutes from the shopping mecca of Corso Italia and even closer to the historic centre. When it’s time to cool off, Marina Grande is moments away for sea swims or make use of the shared pool at the nearby sister resort. If you're a group of six, it’s worth noting that two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge – but for a home this well located, it’s a fair trade-off.

The private balcony here is a real bonus, and a great spot to enjoy a limoncello – Sorrento’s famous lemon liquor. The beach is just two-minutes away and you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops within easy reach. It’s possible to walk into Sorrento or you can jump on the train – just a short stroll away. Back at home, kick off your shoes and enjoy lazy evenings in the private garden. There is also a small hot tub – setting the tone for total relaxation. Inside, the open-plan layout works well for couples, solo travellers or families with the handy addition of a sofa bed for one guest.

Right by the coast, this cosy apartment is perfect for a couple's retreat. The bathtub in the living area takes some getting used to, but you can't deny that its panoramas are fantastic, especially the glimpse of Capri. In fact, the vistas from every room are stunning, though we think the small balcony takes the cake for the best viewpoint. After all, nothing beats a glass of wine, some fresh air, and a seaside sunset. Ready to explore? Make the short drive to Sorrento or venture 200 metres to the nearby rocky beach.

One slight downside is the sleeping space, which is located on a mezzanine level, so not the most private and perhaps a little snug. But we love this home as a launch pad for seeing more of the region’s captivating coastline – including Sorrento, which is just a short train ride away.

This minimalist flat in Sorrento is ideal for a couple or young family looking for somewhere quiet to return to after a day on the coast. You'll be exploring the many great dining options in town as there's no kitchen or dining table here, though the small terrace is ideal for a post-dinner nightcap. It's a studio, so there's not much privacy if you're travelling with a third guest – especially as the bathtub is in the living area. While it's not the most inspiring of locations, you're not too far out from the centre of Sorrento, and you're well-positioned to explore the rest of the peninsula.

Boasting two balconies to take in the mountain views, this home makes a great first impression, although it's worth noting that the kitchen is compact here. But with trattorias just moments away, we suspect you’ll be eating out anyway. Ideal for a small family, the living room’s sofa bed suits children sharing. Meanwhile, the private balcony off the main bedroom means grown-ups can unwind once the little ones are tucked up in bed.
