Stay in the heart of romantic Florence, steps from Piazza dei Ciompi, Piazza Santa Croce, and more. If a central location is your priority, then this apartment is an excellent choice. It’s not the cosiest space, with a bare living area lacking in homeliness. However, this won’t bother those visiting Florence on a city break, where sightseeing and eating in amazing restaurants take up most of your time. If you do eat at home, you’ll notice the dining table in the hallway – it’s a little quirky, but we’re fans of unique touches. Especially the tiled floors. The charming courtyard is a fantastic touch, too.

Florence's Dream

Looking for a characterful bolthole in the historic heart of Tuscany’s capital? This quintessential Florentine apartment should do nicely, set just two minutes from Piazza Santa Maria Novella and five from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. While the interiors are utterly charming, a home of this heritage does have its quirks. Expect to climb stairs to reach the third floor and a mezzanine space accessed via a small ladder that is unsuitable for young children. It’s also worth noting there's a double sofa bed here and only room for two around the kitchen table. However, there’s heaps of space to spill out in the main living room with those high ceilings and views of the piazza below.

The Music of Florence 

Get ready to fall in love with Florence from this apartment in the historic Piazza della Signoria. Not only does this third-floor home overlook the Palazzo Vecchio, but the Uffizi Gallery is just a stone's throw away. If the location isn't tempting enough, sightseers can kick their feet up in an elegant sitting room boasting ample space for four guests. Need to relax? Enjoy a soak in the marbled bathtub or people watch with your neighbours from the internal terrace.

The Perfect Rose

Retaining it's old Florentine features, this charming apartment offers you an authentic experience with the ease of reaching the most celebrated attractions on foot. The real star of the show is the large outdoor patio and garden, complete with seating, potted plants and verdant foliage. Enjoy alfresco breakfasts in the morning sunshine and sip a chilled glass of wine in the balmy summer evenings. 

Stepping inside, you'll immediately notice the traditional elements of the home – from the beamed ceilings to the azulejo tiled flooring – that add a real warmth to the apartment. Slump down on the huge orange-coloured sofa with a good book, gather your group for lunch in the dining room, and get a restful night's sleep in the cosy bedrooms. 

When it's time to head out, you'll find yourself in the lively district of San Niccolò, a short stroll from the Arno River. Crossing over the Ponte alle Grazie, you'll be within easy reach of the Basilica of Santa Croce, with typical restaurants and artisan coffee shops nearby. 

Renaissance Vino

In the historic San Lorenzo district, this cosy apartment is a great choice for work trips or weekend breaks in the city. You can expect to hear some outside noise due to the central location, and we recommend packing light as storage and space are tight. The kitchenette is small with a stove but no oven, but you'll have your pick of Florence's restaurants right on your doorstep. Public transport is close by for traversing the city, and famous hotspots like the Basilica di Santa Maria Novella and Piazza San Lorenzo are just minutes away on foot.

Florian's Lullaby

Step out the door and straight onto Piazza della Signoria at this apartment in the heart of Florence. Home to the Fountain of Neptune and a replica of the famous David statue, this is one of the busiest squares in the city, making it an ideal base for sightseers. You'll want to pack earplugs, though – a location as central as this doesn't come noise-free. The traditionally-styled living room offers piazza views and sumptuous seating. Our favourite features are the lush soaker tub and the communal terrace, both excellent spots to unwind after a busy day. The kitchen is a little small here, but that's no bother, as nearby restaurants are abundant.

Neptune & David

This apartment boasts an enviable position in Florence in an historic palazzo in Piazza Santa Croce. You can look forward to frescoed walls, the original 16th-century wood beam ceiling, high ceilings, and tall windows that look out over a private courtyard. Staying here, you’ll get a real taste of the Florence of the past – and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore the city. Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and the Duomo are a short walk away. What more could you ask for? 

The Rose of Florence

Steps away from the impressive collections of the Stefano Bardini Museum, this bright apartment is in a cultural hotspot. Close to other galleries, the Pritti Palace and the iconic Ponte Vecchio, this home connects you to the best of historic Florence without shying away from the new – find trendy bakeries and cafes within walking distance. Though it might feel a little more spacious with just four guests, it can accommodate six by folding out the sofa bed in the living room. That would mean that not everyone has a seat at the dining table, but that's a small compromise to make for the location. 

La Soprano

If you're planning a city break in Florence, this third-floor apartment puts groups of four beside the Uffizi Gallery. Above the Piazza della Signoria, this home promises a flowy living space with parquet flooring, plus two inviting bedrooms. If you don't feel like watching the sunset from the communal terrace, how about a soak in the marbled bathtub after sightseeing? With airport transfers and private walking tours available to book, special services help you squeeze the most out of your stay.

Neptune's Hideaway

One glance at the private balcony and you'll see why this apartment caught our eye. It's the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine in the sunshine, even if the views aren't the most inspiring. Indoors, the bright living area is designed for relaxing, while the kitchen has all the essentials needed to rustle up an Italian feast. Sleeping arrangements are flexible here, too, with a double in the main bedroom, a single trundle in the second, and a sofa bed in the lounge. You will need to hop on the tram to reach the city centre, but it's only a ten-minute ride away.

Florentine Glow

This Florence duplex is a short drive from Piazzale Michelangelo, Porta San Niccolò, and Pitti Palace. It’s in a quieter neighbourhood on a hill, so you can unwind after days in the city with a glass of wine overlooking the skyline. The space is modern and elegant, though you’ll need to be prepared to climb some stairs to reach it – keep this in mind when packing. Roomy enough for four guests, it’s worth noting that one will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the upper living room. However, this won’t bother those visiting Florence on a city break, where sightseeing and dining out are the priority.

Temptation of Time

With its beautifully intricate tiled floors, contemporary furnishings and wonderfully central location, this apartment in Florence’s historic centre is an ideal base for those looking to make the most out of the city’s sights in style. 
 
Though minimalist in design, the decor here has been carefully curated to let the home’s structural features steal the show, with the neutral-coloured furnishings complimenting the rustic, earthy tones of the flooring and the dazzling whiteness of the walls. 
 
We love the terracotta-hued kitchen that’s all set to whip up Italian feasts at home when you’re not out sampling the local trattorias, as well as the two bedrooms – one of which offers views of the Duomo – that beckon a blissful night’s sleep. 
 
And then of course there’s its prime locale, just a seven-minute walk from the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, an eight-minute stroll from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and a mere five minutes on foot from the Accademia Gallery – home to Michelangelo's famous sculpture of David.
