Positioned on the outskirts of the medieval town of Vitorchiano, this villa sits amid an olive farm and lush parkland dotted with centuries-old oak trees. Inside, it’s modern with rustic touches – sloped ceilings, exposed beams, colourful tiled bathrooms, and large windows. There isn’t a dedicated living room, but with so much space to explore outside, you won’t miss it. Spend carefree days lounging in the hammock, stretched out by the pool, or wandering the pretty trails that weave through the grounds. As for the location, the Tuscia Viterbese region is something of a hidden gem, dotted with hillside villages, rolling vineyards, volcanic lakes, and thermal springs.

The Olive Farm

This traditional villa is ideal for those keen to explore Umbria’s medieval towns and countryside. Charming Montecchio and Guardea are a short drive away, while Terni is a great day trip destination. We think you’ll spend most of your days outside here, thanks to the manicured gardens, swimming pool and tennis court. There’s also a patio for meals in the sunshine and a loggia for evening drinks. Inside, the place is comfortable and furnished with antique pieces – there are, as you'd expect, signs of age and use.

Gilded Heart

For a taste of authentic Tuscan living, this holiday home is a great choice. This apartment is one of six, renovated from a 15th-century structure by a historically conscious architect. The result of the renovation is an apartment that boasts classic Tuscan design with modern amenities and comfort – you can dine beneath wooden beams and stay cool thanks to the terracotta tiles. 

Outside, a pretty patio boasts a wood-fired pizza oven and alfresco seating. After a day spent in the sunshine, it’s delightful to sit in the shade of the trees and sip local wine while the aroma of pizza fills the air. 

This is a restful home on the outskirts of the village of Brenna, which is just five minutes away on foot. If you need to cool down, you might stroll five minutes to Stazione Balneare Merse where you can swim from the river beach. Of course, the apartment is also in a great location for exploring Tuscany, whether you fancy touring the vineyards or seeing the galleries and museums of the cities. It takes twenty minutes to drive to Siena, making it a perfect day trip. 


A Rustic Reverie 

This sun-drenched villa is perfect for a family getaway to the gorgeous region of Tuscany, with plenty of space for everyone to gather together under the sun or indoors. Cosy up in front of the TV on the comfy sofas with a lovely view of the verdant surroundings or enjoy a light bite at the circular dining table by the patio door. The outdoor barbeque provides guests with a bounty of delectable meals to enjoy in the great weather, be it lunch or dinner. Spend evenings relaxing on the patio while you play board games with the whole family as the sun sets behind the silhouettes of the trees or take a dip in the pool for a quick swim to finish off the day.

Unwinding has never been easier with the backdrop of the Tuscan landscape – you'll also find yourself surrounded by a charming olive grove that stretches over fifteen hectares. A twenty–three–minute drive takes you to the medieval village of Capalbio which has some gorgeous architecture sprinkled throughout. There's also a delightful ancient spa town called Saturnia that has some incredibly sumptuous hot springs.

Aqua Olive

Tucked within the medieval walls of Monticchiello, this Tuscan flat makes for an authentic countryside escape. With terracotta tiles, wood-beamed ceilings and a cosy fireplace, the interiors feel warm and welcoming – while the private garden, complete with dining area and barbecue, invites sunny afternoons relaxing and sunset aperitivos. Plus, the location couldn’t be better – just steps from trattorias, artisan shops and sweeping views of rolling hills. Siena, Pienza and Montepulciano are all within easy reach too, promising the quintessential Tuscan experience you’re looking for.

Ethereal Tuscan View

In the folds of the hills, this home is all about those Tuscan sunsets. Catch the golden hour, as the sun dips below the forest-clad hills, from the terrace where curtains frame the view and dining by candlelight is a delight. Days can be spent drifting from one terrace lounge to another, or swimming laps in the pool – the sun hits the water throughout the day. There are two farmhouse-style kitchens to choose from – one is professional-grade in the basement of the main villa and the other, a smaller affair in the separate cottage. Guests can spread out between both buildings, each with its own living room, and join together for excursions to Cortona, 10 kilometres away.  

Rosemary Breeze

Nestled amid the forests and fields of Umbria, this stone sanctuary combines tradition and comfort to bring you the ultimate Italian escape. With its origins dating back 400 years, you’ll find plenty of rustic charm along with a private swimming pool (open seasonally), a peaceful garden and lovely terraces – perfect for sunset drinks and barbecue meals. Guests can also enjoy a range of extra services here, including cooking lessons and wine tastings. And for explorations further afield, the nearest village of Porano is just 4 kilometres away while the historic city of Orvieto is a twenty-minute drive away.

The Olive Way

This apartment puts you in the historic heart of hilltop Orvieto. Tucked down a quiet cobbled street, you’re just steps from the Duomo, the piazza, and the town’s shops and trattorias – with rolling vineyards nearby for sampling the region’s famous Orvieto Classico. Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and inviting, with a fireplace and three comfortable bedrooms spread over the upper floors. There’s no air conditioning, but the traditional stone walls and climate control system help keep things cool in summer and cosy in winter. An ideal base for your Umbrian escape. 

Orvieto Delights

Equal parts contemporary and characterful, this apartment is a real gem. The location is excellent for exploring – Siena, Perugia, and Arezzo are all less than an hour by car. It's part of a restored Tuscan farmhouse boasting scenic views of the surrounding vineyards. We love the interiors – they're modern, with just the right amount of traditional touches. There isn't a proper living area, but the kitchen has space to whip up meals, while a leather armchair in the bedroom makes a great reading nook. You'll also share access to the garden and pool.

Sinalunga Style

Nestled on the hills at the foot of Lake Trasimeno, this charming villa is the perfect escape away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Ideal for larger groups, there’s plenty of space to spread out and enjoy some quiet time here – and with each bedroom boasting an en-suite, there will be no queue to get ready in the mornings. That said, we think everyone will naturally be drawn to the outdoor space. A private pool, sun-drenched terraces, alfresco dining spots and views across the lake – what’s not to love?

Terra Magica

Tucked within seventy hectares of countryside and surrounded by countless rows of olive groves and cypress trees, this charming Tuscan estate is the picture of rural tranquillity. Split into the main house and an independent annexe, the address has retained plenty of its original features – wooden beams, an open-hearth fireplace, stone floors and antique furniture give guests a sense of history. Start your day by pushing open the French doors in the living room and looking out over the neighbouring hills before sharing breakfast in the charming kitchen. 

Stepping outside, the home’s beautiful garden is an ideal sunbathing spot, while the sparkling swimming pool is perfect for cooling off from the midday heat. Find a cosy corner amid the plants to enjoy a cocktail at sundown, then head to the pergola, where an elegant dining table promises an unforgettable alfresco experience. If you can bear to leave your manor, the pretty town of Montepulciano is a short ten-minute drive away. Walk its winding streets and try the rare Vino Noble wine the region is so famous for.

Aglio e Olio

It’s all about the good life at this Italian villa. We’re not just talking la dolce vita, but the full, sustainable package. It’s on an enchanting eco lavender farm, so the fields around you are fragrant as perfume and the villa has its own orto (vegetable garden) which you’re welcome to harvest. Perhaps cook fresh-veg-topped pizzas in the antique pizza oven outdoors, and enjoy at one of two terraces, overlooking the rolling countryside. For days at home, there’s a sparkling swimming pool to cool off in, a petanque court and ping pong too. 

We’re impressed by this villa’s eco-credentials, supplied by renewable energy and with natural aromatherapy oils on offer from the lavender farm. Inside, it’s a calming medley of Japanese zen and Scandi-chic touches. The living room is set around a big fireplace and raw-wood tables and wicker lampshades are a nod to your natural surroundings. The kitchen could be the envy of any professional chef, with a huge, range-style cooker perfect for the fresh produce on your doorstep.

Getting out and exploring, you’ve got Italian countryside all around you and the village of Marsiliana is less than ten minutes drive away for supermarkets and pizzerias. Twenty minutes away you are spoiled for choice – from the charming medieval villages of Capalbio and Pitigliano to the glamorous beaches, bars and restaurants of the Silver Coast.
