A private beach on the shores of Lake Como? If that's not the definition of relaxing, we don't know what it is. Consisting of two separate apartments, this lakefront home, just a fifteen-minute drive from Bellagio, is perfect for exploring the region. Each apartment has two bedrooms, a breezy living area, and spectacular views. You can enjoy the panoramas from the balconies or, better yet, pad down to the beach and stretch out at the water's edge. Four guests will sleep on double sofa beds in the living area, but that's a worthwhile compromise when the beach is on your doorstep.

Twin Waters

We defy anyone to look through this home's photos and not feel instantly at ease. It's something to do with the ample amounts of space, cleansing white walls and large arched windows that look out over rooftops and also flood the interior with sunshine.

The design is definitely sparse, although we think there are enough personal touches to ward off accusations of anonymity. The floral-style lampshade in the bedroom is eye-catching and we also like the vintage travel adverts hanging in frames on the wall.

However, don't be surprised if you don't actually spend all too much time in the apartment. The home's position in the Mezzegra region is simply gorgeous, helped by the fact that the banks of Lake Como can be reached in five minutes' walk. Villa del Balbianello takes forty-five minutes to reach on foot, while you catch a ferry to the town of Bellagio in just over an hour.

White Negroni

Let’s talk about that view. There’s nothing better than sitting out on the sunny wrought-iron balcony and gazing out over the azure water of Lake Como, flanked dramatically by forest-green mountains. You can practically taste the fresh air from this spot. Heading inside, this studio apartment boasts a surprising amount of space to spread out. The pristine white motif feels sunny and bright, with pops of lightwood and green pot plants adding something homely. In the kitchen, your host leaves some local goodies – balsamic vinegar, hazelnut cookies and fresh fruit – for your arrival. And espresso pods are at the ready for a coffee overlooking the water. You’re in the charming lakeside village of Moltrasio, where boats run from the nearby jetty across the lake to Bellagio (which you can see from your balcony) and there are a handful of gelato shops, old churches and lakeside cafés.  

Lake Jetty

This practical apartment is located in the charming town of Lierna on the banks of Lake Como. It's contemporary, albeit a tad basic, but you can't beat the picturesque views from the private balcony. Head down into the shared garden and you'll find a communal pool ideal for afternoon dips. We think it's a great base from which to explore the region. Not only are a few shops, restaurants, and a small beach within walking distance, but you can also reach Lecco by car and Belaggio by ferry.

Sunset by the Lake

With private boat mooring, peaceful grounds and beautiful views, this home opens its doors to the timeless magic of lakeside living. Dating back to the 19th-century, the main house and adjoining annexe can accommodate eighteen guests with an extra double room (for two guests) available for an additional fee. And from the moment of arrival, you’ll find plenty to keep you entertained. From the private pool and tennis court to the games room and antique furnishings, every detail has been considered to deliver an unforgettable stay. You can also enjoy a complimentary dinner service on your first night, daily breakfast is included and a private chef is available (for an additional fee) throughout your stay. And when it comes to adventures further afield, it’s just a short drive or boat trip to nearby Menaggio and Como. 

Haven of Beauty

To say the views of Lake Como seen from this apartment are remarkable is an understatement. It’s a panorama best admired from the private wraparound balcony or the complex's shared poolside. Inside, the open-plan living and kitchen isn’t the most palatial, and that canary yellow bedroom might be too perky for some. That said, it’s all beautifully cared for and perfect for a small family sharing. Nestled in the quaint village of Perledo, you’ve got all of Lake Como’s best bits within easy reach, starting with Varenna, just a short drive away. Or hop on the nearby ferry to other hotspots including Lecco, Bergamo, and Milan.

Lake Como View

The views of Lake Como from this home are simply gorgeous – we could sit on the balcony here gazing out over the gently rippling water to the mountains for hours. You can enjoy the incredible vistas from the terrace too, where you can relax on the sun loungers or dine alfresco. Whip up some tortelli di zucca in the sleek, dove grey kitchen for dinner. On chilly evenings gather around the fire or get some rest in the stylish bedrooms with their ornate wallpaper. 

Situated in Argegno, there are a range of eateries within a five-minute walk. Further afield, the alpine city of Lecco, with its splendid Basilica di San Nicolò, is eleven minutes in the car. Or walk the trails of the stunning Monte Barro Regional Park, a sixteen-minute drive from this lovely home.



Watching The Boats Go By

Boasting a front-row seat to the wild, untouched beauty of Comacina Island, this home offers breathtaking views with serenity to boot. You'll find it in the picturesque town of Ossuccio, peacefully perched on the shores of Lake Como and surrounded by a pretty cluster of pastel-hued homes. Here, you're in a prime location for exploring the region, with Downtown Como a thirty-minute drive away. Closer to home, take a twenty-minute stroll to Villa del Balbianello and admire its stunning terraced gardens.

Though compact, this home promises comfort through thoughtful design and contemporary decor. Inside, a timeless canvas of white walls, hardwood floors and heaps of natural light create a peaceful and inviting ambience, beckoning you to relax in the splendour of your surroundings. We love the open-plan living space, with its cosy dining nook and sleek, fully-fitted kitchen. Though the real treat is the private terrace, offering uninterrupted lakeside views. Spend your days here, basking in the sun, and come sunset, settle around the alfresco dining table for a candle-lit dinner under the stars.

Love At First Sight

This Lake Como abode comprises three studios, allowing guests to live autonomously and socialise as much or as little as they like in between discovering the area's natural beauty. Just a stone's throw away from the waterfront, the garden and patio present picturesque views over the lake, making it a sweet spot for enjoying alfresco meals or an Italian aperitif in the sunshine. While public transport is available, and you'll be within walking distance of the centre of Tremezzo, we recommend hiring a car to discover the other towns and villages surrounding the lake. 




The Pine Tree

Petite and pretty, you'll find this home right on the edge of Lake Como, near the centre of Tremezzo. It's ideal for couples or very small families who are looking for some peace and quiet to enjoy this idyllic corner of Italy. 

The kitchen is ready for you to whip up some delicious meals, or simply arrange some antipasti, depending on what you feel like. Mix an Aperol Spritz and head out to the patio to enjoy your apperitif in the fresh air with a view of the lake – your host will even provide comfortable deckchairs and tables. If you need to catch up on emails then there's a dedicated workspace, and at the end of the day you'll love curling up in the perfect pink bedroom. 

You can walk to the centre of Tremezzo and the famous Villa Carlotta in only eight minutes from here, and you're also close to Scalo di Villa Carlotta ferry landing, which can take you around the lake to several points of interest. Plus, the city centre of Como is around a forty-minute drive away – visit the cathedral and wander along the promenade before you hop on the funicular railway for an excellent view.

Rose Petal

Perched on a promontory that juts out into Lake Como, this villa provides guests with plenty of opportunity to look out over stunning lakeside vistas, backgrounded by the mighty Alps. Below, the quaint village of Bellagio invitingly reveals its cobbled streets and elegant lakeside villas, completing the panoramic views.

The villa doesn’t just offer views, though. Its heated swimming pool allows you to see snowy mountain caps in perfect comfort, and inside you’ll be able to build up a sweat in your own private gym and Turkish sauna. 
In the evenings, once you’ve caught the sunset over Lake Como, you might want to make your way down into your wine cellar and enjoy the finest local wines, or head into Bellagio and sample its fantastic foods.

Although the villa offers tranquillity, you’re not far from the city either. Its location allows for short drives to cities like Milan, Bergamo, and Como, and you can also enjoy making the short trip across the border into Switzerland to visit Lugano.

The villa’s excellent location also invites you to enjoy hikes and boat trips around the lake, along with other outdoor activities such as tennis and golf.

Tri Lake Serenity

This stunning lakeside apartment is an idyllic spot on the shores of Lake Como. It’s elegant and modern, with a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with large windows looking out to the lake. An internal courtyard leads to a private sauna and a wine cellar, and there’s even a shared infinity pool – what could be better than drinking in those majestic views while enjoying a dip? You’ll also have access to a dock for boat tours.
