Arrive in style at this lakeside property on board a resplendent Riva speedboat, thanks to its private jetty. Disembark and step inside to discover a spacious and stylish open-plan living area and kitchen, kitted out with all the culinary accoutrements you might need to whip up delicious homemade meals, just like nonna used to make.

From the living room, not only will you enjoy access to a private balcony through two sets of French doors, but also awe-inspiring panoramic views capable of bringing a tear to the eye. The soothing atmosphere of the bedrooms will help you relax after your journey, while there's a good amount of storage space so you can unpack and settle in. The main bedroom even finds room for a desk and enjoys access to an en-suite shower room.

When you're not sunbathing and swimming in the lake, explore the surrounding village of Laglio. With slopes full of vineyards and olive groves, and pastel-coloured villas, it's one of the most elegant lakeside locations. But don't take our word for it. George Clooney purchased his nearby eighteenth-century estate back in 2002 and still returns multiple times a year, some two decades later.

Ocean's Eleven

This villa offers the best of both worlds – a peaceful retreat in the rolling Valpolicella hills, yet close to Verona’s historic, bustling streets. The outdoor space is the real star of the show. You can swim in the pool, dine under the portico, or simply soak up the scenery from the panoramic terrace. You'll undoubtedly want to spend all day out here, and with sun loungers and an alfresco dining table, it's easy to do so. Luckily, the open-plan layout of this cosy apartment means those views are never far away, whether you're cooking up meals in the kitchen or unwinding on the comfy sofa. It's a short drive down to Gera Lario, a waterfront town with beaches and restaurants, or leave the car at home and set off on a hiking trail from your front door.

Lake & Timber

This collection of three apartments in Como is perfect for a group of friends or a large family travelling together. Four guests can be accommodated in each apartment, with two guests on a sofa bed in the living space. There’s a kitchen in each apartment, though with such a central location, you’ll have plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. The shores of Lake Como are a ten-minute walk away, as is the cathedral. Your host can arrange all kinds of luxurious extras to make your stay all the more memorable, from boat charters to personal shoppers. 

Como Together

This loft apartment offers a unique blend of city living and peaceful retreat. It’s in the centre of Como, but still feels quiet and tranquil – you can relax here when you're not out exploring Lake Como and its surroundings. The star of the show is the roof terrace, a dreamy spot for dining alfresco while drinking in the view. The apartment is bright and welcoming, with large windows that frame Como views. It’s minimalist in style but has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay, though two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. We love the elegant dining space… who’s in the mood for pasta? 

Como Loft

If you’re seeking the kind of serenity that comes from enjoying far-reaching views across a glassy lake, this could be the home for you. As you’d expect with a studio, space is limited here, but it’s a cosy place for two. And, step out into the garden, and you can while away the hours drinking in the vistas over a bottle of wine. The kitchenette is ideal for basic food, but for a substantial meal full of authentic Italian flavours, head to one of the many local restaurants in Laglio for a dinner to remember.

Lake Dreams

You’ll find this charming apartment in Laglio, making it an ideal base for a family or group of friends on a trip to Como. Inside, the home has a rather traditional feel, but we think that adds to its charm. The standout feature is the balcony, with picture-perfect views across Lake Como – vistas which can be enjoyed from many places inside the home, too. From this prime location, scenic boat trips or indulging in authentic Italian cuisine at a local restaurant is a breeze – what more could you want?

Bella Mia

It's easy to explore the charm of Como on foot from this centrally located apartment. Just a short walk from the town's train station and the lake shore, you're moments away from water sports centres, cultural sights, and hiking trails to Brunate (that's if you're not tempted by the funicular). The separate bedrooms are convenient for groups seeking private space to unwind – although be prepared to share one bathroom. Regardless, the open-plan living space is a cosy place to put your feet up, and the kitchen will surely come in handy for preparing meals at home.

Lake & Hillside Place

Housed in an elegant building in the Piazza Duomo in Desenzano del Garda, this home has a fabulous setting. The apartment is located just 50 metres from Lake Garda and the many shops, bars and restaurants. It's just 150 metres from one of the lake's sandy beaches too.

Back at this apartment, relax on the balcony off the main bedroom with a glass of wine. Inside, we love the feature ornate fireplace in the open plan living space, but the real highlight here is the beautiful view of the city's cathedral from the main bedroom window (this room also has vibrant botanical wallpaper).

Later, if you don't fancy eating out, rustle up some risotto con la tinca (rice with fish and chard) in the modern kitchen and enjoy the fruits of your labour at your dining table. After a busy day, get ready for bed in the marble-clad bathroom with its large shower and then get some rest.



Pink Fuchsia

For families or friends looking to explore all this stunning city has to offer, this apartment, close to the historic centre, may be what you're after. Take a short stroll into the old town, where you’ll find plenty of sights to see and things to do, or spend your days on the lake soaking up the sun. Whatever your holiday calls for, with everything on offer right outside the door, this is a great base for making the most of your stay in Como.

 The Bookshelves

A private beach on the shores of Lake Como? If that's not the definition of relaxing, we don't know what it is. Consisting of two separate apartments, this lakefront home, just a fifteen-minute drive from Bellagio, is perfect for exploring the region. Each apartment has two bedrooms, a breezy living area, and spectacular views. You can enjoy the panoramas from the balconies or, better yet, pad down to the beach and stretch out at the water's edge. Four guests will sleep on double sofa beds in the living area, but that's a worthwhile compromise when the beach is on your doorstep.

Twin Waters

Perched above Lake Como, this home has views to kill. Wake to the sound of the water, enjoy slow mornings on the terrace or bask in the sunshine in the private garden. The home itself is contemporary, offering everything you could need for a fuss-free stay. Located in Blevio – a charming suburb just 10 kilometres from the heart of the action – you'll be well-placed to discover the best of Lake Como. That said, a car is recommended if you plan on venturing further afield.
