Perched on Lake Garda's western shoreline, this two-storey home offers plenty of opportunity to gaze longingly out across the water towards mountains – if you're so inclined, of course. With two separate but connected apartments, you'll find the space ideal if you're travelling with two families – both floors offer views, and while downstairs has quick access to the pool, upstairs has its own terrace with an alfresco dining area to compensate. You always enjoy private access to the stony beach out front here, a space ideal for soaking up some sun on a sun lounger.

Villa Rossa

Sharing its outdoor pool with just one other apartment, this modern home sits in large gardens, in a quiet spot overlooking the rolling hills – the blue of Lake Garda just visible across the trees. With lovely lawns, old olive trees and plenty of green all around, it's a comfortable and practical home-from-home. 

Inside, it's a ground floor apartment well suited to family life. Modern in design, its big windows and spacious rooms keep it bright and sociable, with all eyes on the view to the rear. There's a well kitted-out kitchen and a dining table inside, but we think you'll be spending much of your time eating on the covered terrace. 

After breakfast, head to the gated outdoor pool for a morning of swimming and playing on the trampoline, or hop in your car and you'll be by the lakeshore in a little over five minutes. 

From your home, it's a short walk into the village of Soiano del Lago, with its grocery shop and small restaurants, making this the ideal choice for a quiet family holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the busy resorts. Drive to the nearby beaches for fun at the lake, or spend a day at one of the nearby amusement parks – Gardaland is around half an hour's drive away.

Sit back, relax, and soak up the Lake Como views at this apartment in Vercana. The terrace offers the best vantage point, and we think the mountain scenery goes perfectly with a sundowner or two. Inside, the cosy living area also shows off the scenery. We like the mix of character features like timber ceilings with more contemporary elements – the breakfast bar and dining nook are particularly smart. As for location, you'll be about 3.5 kilometres from the lake and beach. Further afield, Menaggio and Como beckon for day trips – you'll want a car to make the most of the setting.

Vercana View

Set on the banks of Lake Garda, this villa is as close to the water as you can get. And there’s no better place to soak up the views than from the private pool or on the dining terrace. Inside, a family or group of friends have plenty of space to spread out, and the kitchen is well-appointed for those who like to cook. While the bedrooms are comfortable, it’s worth noting there aren’t any bedside tables or reading lights. Keen to explore? The charming town of Lazise is a short drive away. 

Glorious Garda

A stone's throw from the sandy shores and harbour of Lake Garda lies this beautiful apartment, bathed in red. Spread over two floors, everyone will have the space to stretch their legs here. Lounge on the sofa in the open-plan living space while natural light fills the home, or breathe in the fresh air and lakeside views from the cosy balcony. The rich history of the building can be glimpsed in the touches of the original construction that were kept after the 2021 renovation – the wrought iron decor on the staircase railings, and the ornate windows. The traditional blends seamlessly with the modern, with the fully-equipped kitchen allowing you to whip up some fantastic home-cooked meals. That is, when you're not out exploring the dining opportunities that Desenzano del Garda has to offer.

The resort town of Desenzano del Garda has plenty for you to explore, whether by car or on foot. You'll be within easy walking distance of multiple restaurants and cafes, and you'll be just minutes from a stroll along the beautiful beaches and shores that line Lake Garda. For those looking to immerse themselves in the history and culture part of the town, head up to the Roman villa of Desenzano, where you can admire ruins and ancient mosaics. No matter what you're hoping to find on your trip – good food, beautiful scenery, wine tasting, boat tours, and a home away from home, you'll find it all in this little corner of Brescia.

Cherry Slate

Nestled in Cecina village, where rolling green hills form an enviable backdrop, this villa lies only minutes from the famous Lake Garda. But it isn't all about location, even though we love how quickly you can walk to a restaurant from here. With most of the rooms spilling out onto large terraces, where you can appreciate the landscape from poolside or under vine-covered pergolas whilst having an alfresco breakfast, it feels like a celebration of the beautiful untamed surroundings. Throw in the typical architecture, rustic decor – though it might not be to everyone's taste – and ample space and we had to add it to our collection.

The Fountain of Life

If you’re looking for a home with a view, then how about this apartment, which has captivating Lake Como vistas from its small balcony? Inside, the open-plan living space sleeps two guests on a sofa bed at full capacity. We love the outlook from the dining table here, too – at this home, you can create wonderful memories. Set in the town of Menaggio with its lakeside promenade, you’ll have plenty to occupy your time or go for a scenic hike in the nearby mountains. With its fantastic location, this apartment is the perfect retreat.

Lakeside Chic

Nestled in the verdant hills overlooking Lake Garda, this modern three-bedroom home is the ideal getaway for those seeking a relaxing getaway next to one of Italy’s most spectacular natural features. Set across three storeys, there’s plenty of space to move around - whether you’re lounging on the sofa that looks directly out to the lake, entertaining around the dining table, or whipping up a classic Italian meal in the fully-equipped kitchen. The highlight, though, is that view – visible from all the bedrooms, and best-experienced on the top-floor terrace. Head into nearby Toscolano Maderno when you’re ready for some lakeside exploring.
