With two terraces overlooking the bay of Portu Frailis, this home calls for a relaxing coastal getaway. From here, you can admire the views and then take the short stroll down to the beach where you’ll also find a small selection of restaurants. You will need a car if you’d like to explore further afield, but there is free private parking. It’s also worth noting there’s no lift access here and that while some of the furniture is a little dated, the apartment has been recently renovated. However, we think most of your time will be spent outdoors – taking advantage of this great location.

Overlooking the beach of Portu Frailis, this apartment provides the ideal setting for a refreshing coastal stay. From here, it’s just a five-minute stroll to the nearest restaurants, while a greater selection of amenities can be reached in just a five-minute drive. Private parking is included in your stay, plus your host is on hand to provide tips and recommendations throughout your stay. It’s worth noting there are stairs leading up to the entrance of the apartment, but once inside you’ll find a family-friendly home with the addition of a sofa bed for two guests in the living room. The terrace also includes a barbecue – perfect for alfresco dining as the sun sets over the bay.

Switch off and experience the beauty of Sardinia at this home in Punta Molara. Despite lacking wi-fi, the dappled veranda and private swimming pool will be a welcome distraction. The views are pretty great, too – and the alfresco dining table and outdoor sofa are perfect places to enjoy them. All the bedrooms are a good size – one is even located on the lower level with its own entrance – but you'll need to pay for bed linen and towels or bring your own. As for location, Cala Ginepro's crystal-clear waters and pebbled beach are 800 metres away, while the city of Olbia and its many cafe-flanked piazzas is a 12-kilometre drive.

You’ll find this unfussy villa in northeast Sardinia, around 500 metres from Le Saline Beach and 11 kilometres from the city of Olbia, home to the medieval San Simplicio basilica and a palm-fringed waterfront. Back at the abode, two living areas provide plenty of space for the whole group to stretch out and the garden is the ideal spot to relax in the sunshine or shade. Granted, there’s no swimming pool here, but with the coast so easily accessible we don’t think you’ll mind too much.

The decor is simple, and there isn’t much space for everyone inside – but with views like this, you won’t be spending much time indoors.
