The saltwater pool will offer reprieve from the blazing sun when it’s at its apex – paddle lazily in it’s crystalline waters and enjoy a cocktail in the sunlounger after. Slick, all-grey interiors are kept deliberately simple to allow the technicolour landscapes to sing. The bedrooms are minimalist yet comfortable and with food at the heart of Sicilian living, it’s only right that this home’s only interior communal space is a large kitchen and dining room. 

Outside, it’s delightfully quiet – the ocean and the soft melody of birdsong the only sounds. Splash around in the pool before enjoying an aperitivo on the terrace. When you’re ready to head out and explore, the picturesque town of Castellammare del Golfo with its ochre fishermen’s houses and golden beaches are just twenty minutes away by car.

Immersed in the Trapani countryside, where you can admire the Sicilian mountains, this villa is a beautiful spot for large groups and family getaways. Panoramic views surround the private pool and outdoor seating – which includes a dining table for alfresco meals and rooftop terraces ideal for wine and conversation. Though not everyone might like the rustic quality here, the exposed stone and wooden rafters add a traditional beauty. Two of the three bedrooms feature a double and a single day bed each, so they aren't the most private and would be best suited to two adults in a child. Still, the rooms are as spacious and comfortable as the rest of the house.
