This villa on the edge of Scafa invites you to kick back, relax, and soak up the seaside scenery. It comes as no surprise that the outdoor space is the star of the show. A saltwater pool is perfect for afternoon dips, while lounge chairs offer front-row seats to watch the waves roll in. Although the interiors aren't nearly as impressive, there's plenty of space – just note that two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. The village's restaurants are a short drive away, and other cities like Messina and Cefalù are about an hour away. All in all, we think this is a simple, sun-soaked option for families.

The Gentle Waves

With a prime address on Via Umberto, this apartment has exclusive boutiques and cafes on its doorstep. Key attractions such as Villa Bellini, the Amphitheatre of Catania, Palazzo Biscari and much more are all within walking distance. There’s history all around you, and that includes this home, set over several levels. We love the beautiful frescoes adorning the ceilings and the views over the area’s historic buildings from the two private balconies. This is an elegant apartment perfect for families and friends wanting a cultural break in one of Sicily’s most iconic locations.

A Sicilian Embrace

Situated on the east coast of Sicily, this villa is just a stroll away from the Ionian Sea. Offering breathtaking views of Mount Etna, this is a nature lover's paradise, with easy access to the Cyclops Riviera, Taormina, and Catania. The garden is the perfect place to sit back and relax and comes with a private Jacuzzi and patio for alfresco dining. The garden gate leads down to the sea, so you couldn’t be any closer to the ocean. If you’re looking for a sandy beach, however, you’ll find one just fifteen kilometres away.


Coastline Chic

This apartment offers the best of both worlds in Sicily – a spectacular vista while still being right in the thick of things. It’s situated in the heart of Taormina, so there won’t be any shortages of things to do – restaurants, bars and arancini vendors abound here. The apartment itself boasts a small terrace, perfect for admiring the surroundings with a cold beverage in hand. And while the kitchen is on the smaller side – and two guests will be sleeping next to it, with a small divider separating the two spaces – the views and location more than make up for it here.

The Taormina Outlook

Situated on the picturesque hillside of Capo d`Orlando, this elegant villa provides the perfect base from which to immerse yourself in the scenery of Sicily. 

Enjoy panoramic sea views and the changing skies from your own terrace, where you can see the Aeolians Islands on the horizon and witness spectacular Mediterranean sunsets. Spend your mornings eating brunch and sipping coffee under the shade of the pergola, or planning the day ahead from the comfort of the swinging egg chair. 

With the beautiful San Gregorio beach a short drive away, there's plenty of sand and sea on offer if you consider yourself a child of the ocean. Explore the coves, dip your toes in the water or head to the marina for a bite to eat. If you fancy something more adventurous, try trekking the Nebrodi mountains, where waterfalls and rich vegetation await.

Sunsets in Sicily

This villa is all about the views. Perched on Sicily’s east coast, it looks out over the Ionian Sea, with Mount Etna rising in the distance. Days are spent padding between the pool, shaded terraces, and sun-drenched loungers. Inside, it’s all cool marble floors, clean lines, and a kitchen made for long, lazy meals – whether you’re perched at the breakfast bar or gathered around the table. Taormina is just 7km away, but here you’ll enjoy the same cinematic backdrop without the crowds. And when the beach calls? It’s only 4km from your door.

Sicilian Heights

Situated in the ancient town of Riposto, in the shadow of Mount Etna, this compact apartment enjoys the benefits of a private garden which offers stunning sea views. You’ll be able to enjoy your meals out here,  and later, you can stroll directly to the water’s edge. Due to its size, we think this home is best suited for couples or a small family – note that there’s a second apartment in the building so privacy might be compromised at times. 

Sultry Sunsets

When we say this villa blends in with its leafy green surroundings, we mean it. A facade coated in ivy, it sits against a backdrop of towering ancient trees atop a hill on the Sicilian coast. The view from the infinity-edge swimming pool is simply stunning – looking out over the dramatic Sicilian coastline as the Mediterranean stretches before you. Wandering the terraced gardens is like the perambulations of yesteryear when glorious villas were flanked by cypress trees and the sea air was a cure-all. Wending your way beneath rose-covered archways, you’ll find the lounge terrace with plush furniture for tipples outdoors.

Inside, you can feel the fact that this place was built in the 19th century. The hand-painted tiled floor and twisting vines on the walls of the vast dining room are a testament to that. There are a number of grand reception rooms and lounges to choose from, giving the group plenty of space to spread out. Each piece of dark wood furniture, gilded book and upholstered armchair feels like an antique carefully selected. An upright piano in the main lounge really sets the scene. Bedrooms are odes to the old world, with vintage gramophones and lacquered dressers and wardrobes. Some come with Jacuzzi tubs in their ensuites. 

The best bit is, this villa is just a fifteen-minute stroll from the courtyard restaurants, hidden cocktails bars and buzzing nightlife of Taormina, yet you can retreat to the peace and quiet of the coast once you’re done exploring.      

The Ivy Facade

Nestled rather picturesquely on the side of a hill which slopes right into the Ionian Sea, this cosy apartment is situated in the ancient town of Riposto. While compact in size, the place benefits from a large private garden where you’ll be able to enjoy alfresco meals and soak up the sun – you’ll also have direct access to the sea. Note that you’ll be sharing the building with the guests of the upstairs apartment – this being said, we think this pad makes for a great base for a couple or a small family on a Sicilian getaway. 

Serenity at Sea

Wake up to the sound of the Tyrrhenian Sea each morning from this sublime villa set in the bustling seaside resort of Capo d'Orlando. It even boasts direct access to the pebbly beach.

Glistening white from top to toe, and offering up next-level sea views from nearly every room, terrace and poolside, this place has got rest and reset written all over it. Outside, a year-round relaxation pool is prime for soaking up the rays in style. And through a charming white picket gate, there's the glorious beach with sunbeds and umbrellas at the ready for cooling dips.

Inside, across the cool herringbone stone floors, discover four bedrooms, each as spacious and light-filled as the next, and each offering en-suites for a little extra privacy. And did we mention there's a spa with a Jacuzzi, sauna and a chromotherapy shower that leads out onto a sun terrace where you can drip-dry beneath the Sicilian sun? If you can ever be lured away from this seaside haven, there's a bevy of chic waterside eateries and bars within easy reach in pretty Capo d'Orlando. Just be sure to make it home for sunset – the vistas from your private terrace are hard to beat.

And with historic towns and beautiful beaches within easy driving distance, it makes an ideal base for exploring more of Sicily.
