This apartment is located inside a prestigious palazzo in the historic centre of Palermo. It’s an excellent base for a holiday, close to the cathedral and museums, and a short drive from the port. The apartment is full of antique features, including beautiful majolica tiles. It boasts high ceilings and arched windows that look out onto the palazzo. There’s a kitchen to cook in, though you’ll have plenty of restaurants nearby if you’d rather dine out on local Sicilian cuisine.

Explore the pretty city of Palermo from this central apartment, based just a stone's throw from the Church of Saint Domenico. The lounge features a lovely little balcony with seating, and each of the two bedrooms also has a Juliet balcony, so you can swing the doors wide open and let the fresh air in, and enjoy views of your lush and leafy surroundings. The home is fairly basic in terms of its design, but provides you with everything you need for a home-from-home stay, and makes a cosy and comfy place to return to after long days spent adventuring in the city.

At capacity, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area – though at the expense of the communal seating, so we think the home is best suited for a maximum of two. Meanwhile, the terrace serves as a lovely spot for enjoying sundowners after a busy day of sightseeing. It's also worth noting that some street noise should be expected, due to the central location.

Location-wise, it’s within walking distance of the heart of Palermo (there’s also a bus stop a short stroll from this home). There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood too – here you can live like a Sicilian. Apart from the wonderful apartment and address, what also makes this place special are its hosts. They really care about the little details that make you feel so welcome.

Located in the historic centre of Palermo, this apartment is perfect for a family or two couples looking to experience authentic Sicilian culture in the city. Positioned on the third floor of an 18th century building, this home has wonderful traditional features and two balconies overlooking Palermo. From here you can see the stretch of sea in front of the building that corresponds to the ancient port of the city, La Cala – great for evening drinks and delicious cuisine. You won’t be short of attractions around this home – a brisk walk will take you to the historic landmarks of Palermo Cathedral, Church of the Gesu and Teatro Massimo.

You'll find this contemporary home on the second floor of an apartment block in the heart of the historic centre of Palermo. The interiors are bright and welcome – designed with socialising in mind. While the second bedroom on the mezzanine floor may be on the smaller side – you'll be spending most of your time exploring the city. Situated nearby the old town, and the coastline – everything is within walking distance. For a real taste of Sicily – you'll find plenty of authentic restaurants and bars just a stone's throw away. 

Peering out over the harbour, this apartment places you in the heart of beautiful Palermo. Inside, the sleek and contemporary touches really caught our eye, as well as the sociable chef's kitchen ideal for preparing lunches to be enjoyed out on the private terrace – equipped with comfy chairs and an outdoor dining area, it's a lovely spot for enjoying the warm Sicilian sunshine. You will have to climb about 76 steps to reach this apartment and there's a floating staircase without a railing, which won't suit everyone. When you're ready to explore, historical landmarks such as the Cathedral of Palermo are a short walk away, as well as plenty of traditional restaurants and wine bars.

We love all the unique pieces the host chose for this home – it’s clear that a lot of heart went into decorating and maintaining this place, and the warm ambience will make you feel instantly relaxed and comfortable. 

Wake up well-rested in the plush bedroom and enjoy the breakfast provided by your host as you welcome a new day out on the terrace. You can also plan your exploring here – a short drive will take you right into the heart of Palermo, where you can wander down the winding streets, or you may also opt for an idyllic beach day, with the Addaura seafront a five-minute walk away.
