 The home’s burnt-sienna facade is striking against a near-constant blue sky, and a terracotta roof and wooden shutters speak of old-world Sicily. Fancy some sunshine? Outside you'll find a picture-perfect scene that will take your breath away. With absolutely stunning views over the Sicilian countryside and mountains, you'll feel you've arrived in heaven when lounging on the day beds out by the pool with these vistas. 

Next, cool off under the outdoor shower overlooking the expansive greenery and patchwork fields for an experience you won't forget before spending the evening under the shaded pergola over by the outdoor kitchen.

This spot is particularly beautiful at sunset as the sky streaks pink and gold.

It’s a bright, open space designed for guests to spend time chatting and chilling together.  

Location-wise, it’s a short drive to the coastal village of Scopello where you’ll find restaurants and shops. Zingaro nature reserve is also only a short and scenic drive away, and in less than ten minutes by car, you can reach the beautiful beaches of Sicily’s rugged coast.

With far-reaching sea views, sun-drenched terraces and a private pool, it’s just the spot to soak up the Sicilian sun in complete serenity.

We like the combination of modern furnishings and elements such as the exposed stone walls, paying homage to its 19th century roots. From the roof terrace and private pool you have 360 views of the island and Scopello Bay. Treat yourself to some Italian cuisine in Castellammare del Golfo and make sure to visit the beautiful nearby beaches.

Found in a small village atop a hill on the outskirts of Buseto Palizzolo, this terracotta and stone home takes the rustic comfort of a traditional villa and injects it with a dose of luxury so it doesn’t just look pretty, but also sets you up to lift as few fingers as possible. 

Enjoy your welcome buffet alfresco, amid the vibrant green garden, before you’ve even unpacked your bags. Outside is where you’ll probably enjoy all of your meals considering the beautiful view of the Sicilian countryside. Have a chef prepare your meals or opt for a grilled feast by making use of the barbecue found in the outdoor kitchen. 

The saltwater pool will offer reprieve from the blazing sun when it’s at its apex – paddle lazily in it’s crystalline waters and enjoy a cocktail in the sunlounger after. With plenty of outdoor seating, it doesn’t just create opportunities for wine and antipasto for the entire group, it also allows you to steal away to enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the more intimate tables.

One of our favourite features is the cobbled floor of the dining space – the farmhouse style goes a long way in making this feel homely, which makes it the perfect room for tiramisu, copious amounts of coffee, and a board game or two. 

Now that you’re among some of the most charming towns found on this side of Sicily, you may as well visit the mediaeval town of Erice or the salt pans of Marsala.
