Plus, the location couldn’t be better – just steps from trattorias, artisan shops and sweeping views of rolling hills. Siena, Pienza and Montepulciano are all within easy reach too, promising the quintessential Tuscan experience you’re looking for.

Ethereal Tuscan View

If you're looking to explore the captivating Tuscan town of Porto Ercole, this quaint two bedroom apartment offers comfort and convenience. While space is relatively limited, there's room for a bright and inviting living area, two private double rooms, a characterful blue kitchen, and a charming balcony ideal for serving up a homemade dinner. Porto Ercole itself is regarded as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, while Porto Santo Stefano – the headland's other major settlement – is a twenty minute drive along the coast.

Outlook Bay

In scenic Monte Argentario, this home provides all the essentials for a coastal stay. For starters, the sea views are incredible. Take a seat on the terrace and admire the vistas until your heart's content. Want to take a closer look? You'll have private access to the sea for afternoon dips. Inside, hand-curated artwork from the owner's gallery lines the walls. It's cosy, eclectic, and comfortable. Just note that there are quite a lot of steps here, but we think the scenery is worth the climb.

Piccola Postcard

A pearl of peace and relaxation, this spot in an exclusive area of the Island of Elba is as romantic as they come. Splashes of Bougainvillea colour the garden with magenta hues, while floral aromas scent the air with elegance. Meanwhile, sweeping views over the sparkling seascape make this dreamy setting even more precious – and we've not even started on the inside of this home yet. 

Unwind and recharge in utter paradise here as the serene ambience of this place will send you into a meditative state of bliss from the moment you arrive. Inside the apartment, chic interiors remain humble to original features, with terracotta tiled flooring and antique pieces decorating the space in true Italian style. Unique quirks such as circular windows add to the charm, while those far-reaching sea views will leave you awe-inspired when waking up here each morning. 

There are three swimming pools (one with sea water) on the residence that you'll have access to and a private beach (Crocodile Beach) that is exclusively available to guests here too. Just follow the steps at the end of the garden down and discover this secret paradise.

We think this unique home has the wow factor in spades, offering you a taste of traditional Italian style combined with elegant accents and mod-cons – not to mention its own distinctive character which really sets it apart. Clearly, we're not alone in our thinking, as the tower was recently used for the filming of the James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' — well, if it's good enough for Mr Bond, it's certainly enough to get us shaken and stirred. 

Boasting an unforgettable location perched atop a dramatically descending cliff that overlooks the Maremma, this one-time watch tower has been tastefully restored in such a way that is sensitive and appreciative of its past, creating an atmosphere that feels both special and timeless. You need only to set foot on its beautiful terraces to feel the true magic of this place. 

Gaze out over the glittering waters, admiring the islands of Argentario, Giglio & Montecristo or take the short stroll down the semi-private walkway that leads directly to the shoreline and a rock platform beach shared with just one other villa. We loved nothing more than ambling along the path toward the clear waters before finding a comfortable spot to sit with a packed lunch of Italian meats and cheeses – the perfect accompaniment to the idyllic setting.

From alfresco dining to coastal walks and irresistible gastronomical experiences in the picturesque towns and villages that dot the landscape, this home is perfect for those in search of the real 'dolce vita'.  

Atop a Tuscan Tower

If you're looking for a relaxing Italian seaside escape, this apartment might be just what you're looking for. Perched atop picturesque Porto Santo Stefano, it's a short drive from La Cantoniera beach and walking distance from the lively local restaurants and bars. Located in a well-kept residential complex, you'll enjoy access to a communal pool, clubhouse, and tennis courts in the summer months.  The apartment itself features a spacious private terrace with outdoor seating and stunning sea views – perfect for when you fancy a little more privacy. 

Il Carrubo

And when it comes to explorations, you can follow the path down to the rocky shore, hire a boat in nearby Porto Ercole or adventure to Porto San Stefano and Orbetello.

Set on the stunning coast of Tuscany in Porto Ercole, this luxury villa is positioned between sixteenth-century Spanish Fortresses. From the get-go, you'll be blown away by the natural beauty that presents itself all around you. The garden and terrace is probably where most of the action will take place, as here you'll find the cobalt pool with salted water, an array of sunbeds, and the sweet sound of the waves lapping into the shore in the distance. Enjoy alfresco meals from the elevated terrace area while taking in the magnificent vistas as the sun sets before you. We love the traditional Tuscan colour scheme featured on the sheltered terrace with terracotta tiles alongside pops of green through plants, window shutters and furniture cushions. Then, through the curved arch and into the house for more elegant design details and classic Tuscan style. 

When you can tear yourself away from the beauty of it all, take a walk in the heart of the historic old town along the tiny streets and small squares that overlook the sea. Just minutes away on foot from Porto Ercole, recognized as one of Italy's most beautiful historic villages – discover the many restaurants, shops, and bars that rest within easy reach. Why not rent a boat from the harbour and head out to explore the hidden beaches? Or play a round at Argentario Golf Resort & Spa, five minutes away from the villa.


Terracotta Curves

A stunning harbour view is the highlight of this apartment in Porto Ercole. Whether you're waking up in the main bedroom, tucking into an Italian feast around the dining table, or enjoying an alfresco glass of wine on the balcony, you'll have the perfect vantage point to watch the boats roll in. Design-wise, the decor is simple, but it lets the scenery do all the talking. The third bedroom is also pretty small, so we think it's a better fit for children. As for location, it's no surprise that you'll be walking distance from all you need – perfect for a car-free holiday.

Marina Melody

Nestled among rolling hills in a peaceful corner of Tuscany, you’ll feel right at home in this charming villa. Our favourite feature is the garden, where there’s a scenic swimming pool and picturesque patio, complete with a hammock for leisurely lounging. There’s a barbecue and space for al fresco meals too, all overlooking the loveliness of the local landscape. Inside, the rooms are cosy and characterful, including one that sleeps four and is ideal for young families. And when it’s time to head out and explore, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Will it be dinner and drinks in nearby Cetona, or a day trip to the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia? Whatever your plans, this is a perfect pad for seeing more of Tuscany.

Warm Sunlight

There are shady terraces to relax with a book or enjoy a leisurely lunch, cosy and characterful rooms, and a farmhouse kitchen for turning regional fare into an Italian feast. The main house has four double bedrooms, and if eight or more of you are staying, you’ll also have access to a separate converted barn and cottage where there are two extra bedrooms. As for amenities, nearby Città della Pieve has restaurants and bars for entertaining evenings, and you’ll also be in one of the best spots for sampling local wines at one of the area’s prestigious wineries.

Boasting a unique position, this villa, built into the cliffs of Cala Piccola, is perfect for a family getaway to the coast. Thanks to it's location, the sea and Tuscan landscape stretches on the horizon and can be admired from the private swimming pool or any of the balconies and terrace seating areas. Though wi-fi isn't available here, you'll still have plenty to occupy yourself. Several scenic points are within walking distance for those who appreciate nature, and the steps leading from the villa and directly to the sea is a dream for beach lovers.
