Inside, wooden beams, stone walls and a traditional fireplace create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The main kitchen is made for feasts, while the long table is perfect for lingering over local wine. Step outside and you’ll find a sparkling pool, shaded terraces and lawns that flow into the rolling hills beyond. It’s a place where lazy afternoons turn into golden evenings under the pergola. Charming restaurants are just a minute’s walk away, plus a complimentary tasting of local specialities is included in your stay. While you might want a car for exploring further, every breathtaking view and moment here makes it more than worth it.

Romantic View

Equal parts contemporary and characterful, this apartment is a real gem. The location is excellent for exploring – Siena, Perugia, and Arezzo are all less than an hour by car. It's part of a restored Tuscan farmhouse boasting scenic views of the surrounding vineyards. We love the interiors – they're modern, with just the right amount of traditional touches. There isn't a proper living area, but the kitchen has space to whip up meals, while a leather armchair in the bedroom makes a great reading nook. You'll also share access to the garden and pool.

Sinalunga Style

Nestled among rolling hills in a peaceful corner of Tuscany, you’ll feel right at home in this charming villa. Our favourite feature is the garden, where there’s a scenic swimming pool and picturesque patio, complete with a hammock for leisurely lounging. There’s a barbecue and space for al fresco meals too, all overlooking the loveliness of the local landscape. Inside, the rooms are cosy and characterful, including one that sleeps four and is ideal for young families. And when it’s time to head out and explore, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Will it be dinner and drinks in nearby Cetona, or a day trip to the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia? Whatever your plans, this is a perfect pad for seeing more of Tuscany.

Warm Sunlight

This Tuscan home is located in the picturesque village of Monticchiello. Comprising a manor house and separate cottage rented as one, it’s a great choice for a group getaway. The garden is the star attraction here, with its views of the Tuscan countryside. And if you want a relaxing start to the day, your host can provide breakfast to enjoy at the alfresco dining table. We love the exposed beams and brick archways, although the traditional decor may not be to everyone’s taste. Location-wise, you’re surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards, with the historic city of Pienza just under 4 miles away.

Rolling Hills Retreat

This peaceful Umbrian hideaway is surrounded by sweeping countryside and timeless beauty. Inside, traditional Italian architecture meets modern comfort, with spacious living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and inviting bedrooms for restful nights. The main house holds four bedrooms, while a separate annexe and pool house offer extra privacy for friends or family. The garden is perfect for alfresco dining, lazy afternoons in a hammock, or pizza fresh from the stone oven. Cool off in the private pool, with a bar close at hand for summer cocktails. Surrounded by historic towns, wineries, and breathtaking countryside, every day brings something new to discover here.

Umbria Fields

Floor-to-ceiling black-framed windows and a sensitive renovation have turned this 16th-century Umbrian dovecote tower into one of the region's smartest stays. Behind the stone tower, the jagged cliffs and town of Orvieto loom, while in front, the rolling hills stretch before you. Interiors meld old with new. Flagstone floors and antique furniture sit alongside steel ceiling pipes and geometric prints. As one would expect in a tower, there are several spiralling staircases – as well as gawp-worthy views. Push open the sliding doors in the grey, country-style kitchen and step out onto the terrace. A built-in barbecue and wrought-iron table overlook the Italian countryside, while a large vegetable garden and fruit trees provide the freshest ingredients. Continue down to find 1.5 hectares of garden with Etruscan origin and the swimming pool, which was once an agricultural fountain. Forget about any form of work, now all you have to worry about is which spot to pick around the water, with the rush of the nearby brook providing background music.

On A Wing & Prayer

Set amidst Umbria’s rolling hills and verdant woods, this home is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Less than a five-minute drive from the medieval village of Monteleone d'Orvieto, it’s a relaxing retreat full of sensory romance. Breathe in the sweet-smelling flowers that frame the home’s grounds, look out onto the forested paths beyond the front gates and feel right at home within its pretty pink walls. Inside, contemporary and vintage furnishings combine with an elaborate hearth and cowhide rug in the first-floor living room, while downstairs, rustic charm abounds in the bright, white dining room. Exit through the French doors to reach the lush garden, where a jade green swimming pool invites swimming and sun-soaking aplenty. In the evening, the pool takes on a magical lantern-lit glow, perfect for sundown dips. Steal yourself away for an intimate drink under the stone portico, then sit down for an al fresco meal, courtesy of the barbecue. When it’s time for bed, canopied beds and a private suite under the home’s eaves will treat you to a dreamy night's sleep. 

The Cat's Meow

Arriving at this Umbrian villa, you wouldn’t think it was a new build – it’s got all the character and charm of an old, Italian farmhouse with brick-lined, arched windows and a terracotta roof. It’s built with local stone and embraces organic architecture. Blending in with its bucolic surroundings, it looks out over the Oasi di Alviano nature reserve – home to protected Umbrian flora and fauna. It’s a short drive to Terni to explore ancient ruins and local cuisine in family-run restaurants and a traditional medieval hilltop town awaits at Todi nearby.

The first thing that catches the eye is the inviting, Roman-style swimming pool that looks out over the fauna-filled valley and patchwork fields to hazy hills in the distance. A loggia-style dining area houses a table for the group and a barbecue grill, all with that stunning view before you. Steal away to the olive grove and curl up in a hammock with a holiday read.

Inside, antique and vintage pieces throughout add to the old farmhouse feel of the home, alongside wooden ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. A huge double-sided fireplace sits between the dining and living room for cosy evenings in. The view from the arched window in here is simply sublime – framed like a picture on the exposed stone wall. Up on a mezzanine level, you’ll find a secluded little reading nook to hide away in.  

New Old World

In the folds of the hills, this home is all about those Tuscan sunsets. Catch the golden hour, as the sun dips below the forest-clad hills, from the terrace where curtains frame the view and dining by candlelight is a delight. Days can be spent drifting from one terrace lounge to another, or swimming laps in the pool – the sun hits the water throughout the day. There are two farmhouse-style kitchens to choose from – one is professional-grade in the basement of the main villa and the other, a smaller affair in the separate cottage. Guests can spread out between both buildings, each with its own living room, and join together for excursions to Cortona, 10 kilometres away.  

Rosemary Breeze

Surrounded by rolling hills and lush trees as far as the eye can see, this Italian villa in the Lucciola Bella Nature Reserve offers picture-perfect seclusion. Split into five apartments – including an annexe and one suitable for guests with disabilities – it's a dream escape, whether for relaxation or celebrations. A car is essential for reaching amenities, but the idyllic location is totally worth it.

Tuscany Grace

This apartment puts you in the historic heart of hilltop Orvieto. Tucked down a quiet cobbled street, you’re just steps from the Duomo, the piazza, and the town’s shops and trattorias – with rolling vineyards nearby for sampling the region’s famous Orvieto Classico. Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and inviting, with a fireplace and three comfortable bedrooms spread over the upper floors. There’s no air conditioning, but the traditional stone walls and climate control system help keep things cool in summer and cosy in winter. An ideal base for your Umbrian escape.

Here, the famous Sentiero di San Francesco hiking trail is practically on your doorstep, while the beautiful towns of Perugia and Assisi are less than a thirty-minute drive away.

At first glance, this home charms with its rustic stone facade. Inside, it's all exposed beam ceilings, terracotta tiled floors and traditional furnishings. We especially love the country kitchen, fully equipped for home cooking and seamlessly connected to the lounge and dining room through wide, sweeping archways. After a restful slumber in the spacious sleeping quarters, fire up the Moka pot and enjoy espressos on the patio. 

Outside, expansive gardens offer ample space for relaxing in the sun. Spend your days catnapping on a sun lounger or tucking into a picnic amidst the foliage.
