Ideally located in Albufeira, this villa is perfect for families. It’s just 1 kilometre from the soft sand of Praia da Faleisa and 800 metres from Pine Cliffs golf course, so there’s something for everyone. Kids will love splashing about in the private pool, while grown-ups can look forward to sipping drinks on the terrace. It’s worth noting that two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room, where privacy is limited, and that some of the decor is a touch dated. 

Summer in Algarve

With views over the neighbouring golf course, this villa is a tranquil spot for your Algarve adventure – even more so if you love nothing more than to stroll the fairways. Inside, the home is traditional in appearance with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy some quiet time, or socialise in the heart of the home. With the Portuguese sun shining down, however, outdoor living will be high on your agenda. Hang out poolside to soak up the rays, absorbing the peace and quiet, with the silence occasionally punctuated by the hit of a golf ball. If the heat gets a little much, sink into the private pool and swim a few lazy lengths. As lunchtime rolls around, lighting the barbecue is a must for an alfresco meal under the pergola, paired with a chilled bottle of wine, naturally. 

For days out exploring, nearby Vilamoura offers a selection of eateries, a beautiful marina and even a casino. If you long to feel the sand beneath your feet, stop off at Vilamoura beach to breathe in the fresh sea air for a while. However you spend your days, you’ll look back with only fond memories of your time away. 

Fairway Fresh

Based in the picturesque town of Almancil on the sunny Algarve, this luxurious villa provides a peaceful backdrop to set the scene for many happy holiday memories. It sits just a short walk from Vale do Lobo beach, where you'll find golden sands where you can recline in the sunshine and crystal-clear waters for swimming and paddling. You're also close to an amazing golf course, as well as many friendly restaurants where you can sample the local cuisine.

The outdoor areas of this home are something special – we love the gorgeous private pool with its stylish Roman steps, where you can float all afternoon with a cocktail in hand – plus the balcony where you can gaze out at the views of the lush and leafy trees around you. Inside, you'll find modern interiors with an elegant touch, with a stunning fireplace that you can gather around on chilly evenings, plus a grand dining set where you can tuck into tasty Portuguese fish stews for supper.

It's Idyllic

Close to the beautiful beaches of the ‘Golden Triangle’, this home offers a great location along with family-friendly rooms and a private pool. By night, the terrace lends itself perfectly to evening drinks and barbecue meals. You’ll also find one of the bedrooms is located in a separate apartment on the lower ground floor – ideal for those in search of a little extra privacy. It’s worth noting you will need a car to get around here, but it’s just 3 kilometres to Almancil, while Quinta do Lago Beach is just 7 kilometres away. 


Starlight Serenity

Tucked away in Vilamoura, this cosy apartment is an ideal base for exploring all that the Algarve has to offer. As you’d expect with a studio, space is limited here, but you’ll find everything needed for a comfortable stay. While it can sleep three guests, with one on the sofa bed, it’s worth noting that it’s an open space – for this reason, we think it’s better suited to a couple or small family who don’t mind sharing. That said, with Vilamoura beach and golf courses galore nearby, along with the communal pool to cool off in the heat, you’re bound to be out and about most days. 

Vilamoura Glee

This spacious villa on the Algarve coast was designed with families in mind. For kids, there’s a playpark in the garden and a swimming pool for cooling off. While adults can indulge in a spa session thanks to the indoor Jacuzzi tub, gym and sauna. There’s oodles of space inside, from the glitzy main lounge and banquet-sized dining room to tucked-away family snugs. Within the area, there are several golf courses and the beachy town of Quarteira is a short hop away in the car.

Vibrant Radiant

Looking for a no-fuss holiday home in the Algarve? You’ve found it. Inside, clutter-free spaces give way to the sunny patio, where you’ll find loungers for afternoon snoozes and a private pool for cooling off when the day heats up. There’s also a top-floor terrace with a seating area – the best spot to enjoy the welcome drink provided by your host. You’ll need a car if you intend on exploring – fortunately, Vilamoura’s shops, restaurants and beach are only a short drive away.

Designed and built for the Brazilian F1 racing driver Rubens Barrichello, this impressive villa is a haven for those who enjoy the finer things in life. It’s only natural, then, that this luxurious home is found in Quinta do Lago – one of Portugal’s most exclusive resort areas. 

The airy, open-plan living area is sleek and stylish, with glass doors and plenty of space for guests to get comfortable. Relaxation is key here – there's even your very own sauna where you can sweat out your worries, and a fitness room for invigorating workouts. Head outside, and you'll find mature gardens, an outdoor kitchen, dining furniture, and a fabulous jacuzzi. And, as if that wasn't enough, there's a sparkling swimming pool to make a splash in too. 

Keen golfers will be in paradise, given that this chic four-bedroom home overlooks the Quinta do Lago golf course, while anyone more inclined to give their credit card a workout, rather than their golf clubs, will want to head straight to the nearby Quinta Shopping Plaza. And, if you fancy a trip to the shore, then Ancao Beach is just a fifteen-minute drive away – bask on the golden sand, dip your toes in the ocean, or even try your hand at some watersports. 

Pause to Ponder

Designed by award-winning Lisbon-based architects, Pedro Domingos Arquitectos, this home had little choice but to be exceptional. The quirky layout, coupled with a crisp colour palette and bespoke home furnishings has completely reinvigorated what was once an old ruin at the end of a dirt road. Now filled with artisanal wonder, the home sits nestled among wildflowers, olive and almond trees, and over 26 000 square feet of nature reserve. To honour the beauty of the natural surroundings, the garden has been landscaped by Lisbon-based Sigmetum so the wild seeds can grow to continually mirror the untamed beauty of Algarve.

But this home isn’t just beautiful – even though it is exceptionally so – it is no more than a twenty minute drive from some of the most breathtaking beaches, and even closer to world class golf courses. Spend the day in the sea or on the green and when you need a supply run, find stores and restaurants only five minutes away in Santa Barbara de Nexe.

Back home, we suggest barefoot explorations of every room so you can feel the cool concrete under your feet as you admire the textures and shades of the space. From the dining table, as you nurse a cup of coffee, you can watch the sun filter in through the window and cast geometric shadows across the room.

When the day starts to warm, access the pool via either of the steps and enjoy the bite of cool water against hot skin. To warm back up, you can head onto the rooftop terrace to soak up the Portuguese sun with a good vintage of wine. 

Dine alfresco next to the tree, nap with the large windows thrown wide open, shower under the stars, read curled up next to the fireplace, and admire the beauty of the home and its surroundings, but most of all, let the space rejuvenate your soul as you unwind. 

Contemporary Casa

Wow, just wow – this awesome Algarvian home is simply the stuff dreams are made of. Promising Portuguese perfection, this captivating casa boasts mesmerising views of the surrounding landscape, a private pool, lounging, barbecuing and alfresco dining areas and an outdoor shower – and that’s all before even stepping inside. Featuring a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious living room – think cool tiled floors, whitewashed walls adorned with local artwork and a wood burning fireplace –, a separate dining room and four en-suite bedrooms, this fabulous family home really does have it all. 

You’ll love flinging the doors of the master bedroom open and watching the sun rise from the east, making your morning coffee or a glass or two of fresh orange juice made with fruit picked from the garden and lazing on sun loungers before cooling off with a refreshing dip in your private pool. Your nearest town is Sao Bras with its supermarkets and Saturday market, while pretty Loule with its daily covered market is only fifteen-minutes away, as is our favourite beach at Fuseta.


Citrus, Peppers & Palms

Perched atop a hill in Faro, this luxurious villa boasts beautiful views over the Atlantic Ocean. In a rural area, we’d advise renting a car if you’re keen to explore the city and its beautiful beaches, but you’ll find a tennis club and popular restaurant within a 10-15 minute walk if you fancy staying closer to home. We love the garden here, which comes complete with a private pool, hot tub, sound system and alfresco dining areas, meaning there are multiple spots from which to admire the scenery.
