With a private pool, alfresco dining terrace, and outdoor seating area, this home is perfectly set up for enjoying a laidback, Mediterranean lifestyle. And if you’re craving a pastel de nata or want to stock up on Portuguese wine, you’ll find restaurants and a supermarket just a short stroll away.  Little ones will love the sandy beach, a one-kilometre walk from the villa, and for golf enthusiasts, the nearest course is a seven-kilometre drive.

Beachcomber Blues

Just a short stroll from the beach, this home is perfectly located for a refreshing coastal getaway. There's also a private heated pool and a wonderful shaded terrace for alfresco dining. Inside, the rooms combine luxurious comfort and functionality to ensure optimum relaxation. Your host is on hand to help organise extras like a private chef, yoga sessions and local guides. And while it might be hard to leave this coastal sanctuary, it’s a great base for exploring Comporta and the Tróia Peninsula.


Ocean's Breeze

This is a truly magical place to stay. Step inside the Tree House Villa complex and you will be transported to a world of Portuguese charm and history. Whitewashed walls, navy window casings and a thatched roof are what you will glimpse upon first approaching the villa, with tonnes of outdoor seating space and gorgeous wooden decking surrounding the houses. Located in the stunning Carrasqueira area, right by the coast, this 5 bedroom property is not one to miss.

The Tree House Villa

Positioned nearby the Costa de Lisboa and Aroeira Golf resort, this contemporary villa is perfect for both sports lovers and sun seekers. Comfortably accommodating eight people – there are plenty of open-plan living areas to relax. We love the covered terrace, with a built-in barbecue for those long evening meals. While the kids will stay entertained with the private swimming pool. Just 1km from the Aroeira Golf course – you can spend your days on the putting green. While the beach of Praia Fonte da Telha is just a short drive away.  

Porto Putting

If we were to tell you of a hideaway that sits in the middle of twelve hectares of lush pine forest in rural Comporta, you might imagine a certain type of home and we're willing to wager that it doesn't look anything like this wonderfully modern residence.

Not only does the boxy white exterior look visually striking from the outside, but this sense of awe will continue as you step through the glass doors. Our favourite space is the double-height living, which is flooded with natural light from the copious number of windows that line the walls. However, the modern brown kitchen and equally glossy bathrooms are sure to take your breath away, as well. The design throughout feels cohesive, united by a preference for clean lines, sleek surfaces and chic minimalism.

Given the agreeable climate that this corner of the Iberian peninsula enjoys, you'll likely want to spend as many hours outdoors as possible and that's easy to do here. The long infinity swimming pool is both wonderfully refreshing when the midday sun is at its highest and made all the more relaxing by the heady scent of fragrant herbs and vegetation that grow around the sides. There are plenty of terraces and balconies on which to take a seat and do nothing more strenuous than soak up the rays, but you can also find a tennis court if you fancy a match or two.

Although there's a strong sense of tranquillity from the isolated position, you don't have to venture far to find the Portuguese coastline. Carvalhal and Pego beaches can be reached in ten minutes or so in the car, and there are a few restaurants and bars to be found close to these seaside spots.


Finesse in the Forest

On the wild shores of Portugal’s Atlantic coast, the region of Comporta boasts golden sand dunes, abundant pine forests and miles of spectacular scenery. It’s also renowned for its signature small thatched cabanas – crafted with locally sourced wood and grasses from the riverbanks. And this home (just a short walk from the beach) perfectly embodies this rich tradition of craftsmanship and heritage. 

Consisting of multiple buildings nestled amongst the trees, the owners have designed this space to honour the unique spirit of its surroundings, whilst adding a range of luxurious features. From the art and objects to the natural tones and textures, every detail inspires a wonderful sense of calm. 

Enjoy relaxing by the fire in the large open-plan living and dining room, savour delicious meals prepared by your private chef and experience total serenity in the elegant bedrooms (each with its own bathroom). Follow the views outside and you’ll find the garden welcoming you to wander through the trees and savour a refreshing dip in the pool. And with multiple seating areas, this is the perfect setting for magical sunset drinks and barbecue meals that linger long into the evening. 

However you choose to spend your time here, every moment promises to be enriched by the natural beauty of this location. 

Golden Earth

Peace, privacy and beautiful views – this home welcomes you to enjoy it all from the heart of Comporta. You can also savour blissful swims in the pool, lazy afternoon siestas in the shade and long barbecue meals served on the terrace. Daily housekeeping is included in your stay and your host can help organise extras like private chefs and yoga sessions for an additional fee. You might never want to leave this sanctuary, but you can walk to the nearest restaurants and it’s just 1 kilometre to the nearest beach. 


Beauty's Secret

Nestled within a private estate, this whitewashed home opens its doors to the natural beauty of the Portuguese coastline. Surrounded by pine and oak trees, this is the perfect setting to switch off and spend lazy days relaxing by the private pool. There is also a shaded terrace with a barbecue, and your host is on hand to help organise extras like catering and private chefs. Housekeeping is included in your stay and children’s amenities are available on request for an additional fee. From here, it’s possible to walk to the nearest shop, but we recommend hiring a car to explore further afield – the beautiful beaches of Comporta are less than thirty minutes away. 

Delight of the Moon

This pristine villa is ideal for exploring the luxury beach town of Comporta. Set in the village of Carvalhal, you're only a short walk from local restaurants and a five-minute drive to the sandy beach. Inside, the interiors have coastal boho down to a fine art, with white walls, blue accents and natural textures. The mezzanine level above the kitchen makes for a cosy den that kids will love. At full capacity, eight guests will share two bathrooms, so some coordination may be needed. But with a private pool and a garden overlooking green fields, there are worse places to wait for a shower.

Carvalhal Breeze

Found to the south of Comporta, this stunningly designed and furnished villa is perfect for families and friend groups seeking an idyllic coastal retreat. The home flows elegantly from living room to dining area to kitchen, each of which is bright, expansive, and fully equipped. The four bedrooms are just as comfortable, with two sharing a bathroom from either side and one downstairs triple room ideal for any younger guests who don't mind sharing. The heated pool area is stunning, more for aesthetic relaxation than morning lengths, while the adjoining alfresco dining table is one of many outdoor areas on the premises that are great for unwinding with a book and a beverage. If you have a day trip in mind, you can also reach the local beach in around fifteen minutes by car.

Comporta Pimenta

Wow your friends and family with a stay at this designer villa, quietly removed from the bustle of the West Coast's Comporta and yet just moments from the beach.

Inside, this place is a design lover's dream, with a chic dining room to host glamourous dinner parties and a high-style living room and adjoining library to beat the heat with afternoon reads and slumbers. While over in the bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms, curated art and splashes of azure blue add layers of interest and style.

But it's outside, hopping between the vast palm-fringed terraces and one-of-a-kind saltwater pool, where we think you'll be spending most of your time. Sneak away to the shady pergola for a cheeky siesta – the soft burbling of the contemporary water feature should help you drift off nicely. And when it's time to get your ensemble together, that covered veranda (with heaps of room for you and some guests) has sundowners written all over it.

When the sea finally lures you in, Comporta's shores, backed by wild grass-tufted sand dunes (just over one kilometre away), deliver all the cool, beach-shack vibes you're chasing. Or, for a complete change of pace, hop in the car for a day out in Lisbon – it's closer than you think.
