It's not the most charming home – the pipework is old and you're likely to hear your neighbours – but it's a fuss-free option. Fancy heading downtown? It's a bit of a trek on foot, but excellent public transport links sit on your doorstep. There's also the option for on-street parking if you'd rather drive.

We could easily see ourselves spending all day unwinding here, sipping a glass of wine on the French balcony or playing parlour games with friends and family as the sun sets over the city’s golden rooftops.  And with a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal, what’s to stop you whipping up a home-cooked feast and enjoying a relaxing evening in with all your favourite people? 

If you fancy a change of scenery though, there’s plenty to see nearby, from picture-perfect Green Street to the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge, just a short drive from home. Hitch a ride on the Elevador da Bica, go for a relaxing stroll along the River Tagus, or gaze out at the city skyline from the top of the Terrapleno de Santos Ferris wheel. Whatever your day has in store, it’s sure to be a good one.

Seeking a central location in Lisbon? Only a stone's throw from museums and seaside eateries, this pet-friendly apartment is a sightseer's dream base. With two balconies for street-watching, groups of four will take refuge from the hustle and bustle in this Arabic-inspired space. What's more, Santos train station is just minutes away, making work commutes or exploration to different pockets of the city easy.

This charming home has a natural coastal aesthetic, making it an idyllic retreat to come home to after a day out exploring Basílica da Estrela and the gardens of Guerra Junqueiro Garden, just an eight-minute walk away.

The city’s coastal mentality is reflected in this apartment’s natural seaside aesthetic – think rattan furnishings, soft linen fabrics, and a host of tropical plants. After your fill of the local delights, head to Arco da Rua Augusta to admire the ornate triumphal arch – you’re going to want to snap a few photos here. Then, as nighttime descends, seek out snails and beer at one of the tascas, like a true Lisboeta.

Calm & Coastal

Housed in a traditional building, this smart home has city break written all over it. It's not large, but the excellent use of space means there's room to cook, socialise and eat together in this slick apartment. You'll love waking up to a hot espresso made on the coffee machine, ideal to sip at the dining table as you plan your day. Getting around the city is easy from here – a short walk of around ten minutes will bring you to the historic centre of Lisbon – pick between a walk through the winding streets, or a stroll along the Tagus River. For travels further afield, you'll find Santos Metro station just a seven-minute walk away. 


The Anchor

Located in the heart of Lisbon, this pet-friendly apartment provides a stylish spot to rest your head. The location does mean there is the potential for some outside noise and you might want to bring your own toiletries here, but there are shops and restaurants just minutes away on foot. One of the bedrooms has a dedicated desk for remote work, while the other boasts an en-suite bathroom, making it ideal whether you're travelling for work or leisure. The highlight of the home is undoubtedly the private terrace, which enjoys direct access from both bedrooms. Here you'll find outdoor seating for enjoying an evening glass of wine and laid-back socialising.

Whispering Breezes

Enjoy the views of Lisbon's colourful rooftops, the stunning vistas of the famous Tagus River, and the iconic 25 de Abril bridge from this vibrant home's balcony. 

But it's not all about the view – where do we start with the interiors – they are gorgeous. The grey chequered wallpaper of the feature wall in the living room contrasts perfectly with the teal soft furnishings and canary yellow armchairs. This home has plenty of character features, too, such as the ceiling's ornate mouldings. We also have to say that we love the main bedroom with its glamorous chandelier and large en-suite with more wonderful vistas.

When you want to explore Alcantara-Terra station is around a ten-minute walk. The Park of Necessidades is a short stroll away, where you'll find peacocks roaming, duck ponds and a cactus garden, oh yes, and more views over the Tagus River.


Yellow Canary

Fado-chic might be the best way to describe this home. Surrounded by artsy cafes and fado houses, Amália's interior contains several references to Portugal's musical soul. Like many older buildings in Lisbon, it doesn't have the biggest windows, so you might find yourself spending a lot of time on the closed balcony – or one of the many green spaces around Principe Real, where you can snap some of the best photos of the city.

This home is well placed for Lisbon's fantastic markets – Mercado São Bento is under a ten-minute walk, while the Time Out Market Lisbon is a twenty-minute stroll. Principe Real, with its many designer stores, antique shops and art galleries, is under a twenty-minute amble. Or Bairro Alto is a sixteen-minute saunter where you'll find an array of fabulous restaurants and bars.

Back at this apartment, take in the street views from the balcony, then whip up a feijoada (bean stew) in the modern kitchen with fresh ingredients from the market. Totally refurbished, this home has been decorated in tasteful grey hues with splashes of pattern from the zebra-style rug, and verdant green plants give the place a homely vibe. This abode is perfect for a couple, solo traveller or business professional.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant and eclectic beauty of Lisbon with a stay at this bright and stylish apartment situated in the tranquil Lapa district. An ideal base for a family holiday or a relaxing getaway for a group of friends, this cheerful pad will make your time in the city comfortable and relaxing. 

Arrive to be welcomed by the bohemian-inspired décor, with lots of gorgeous plants and plush furnishings. The place is bathed in natural light streaming in through the large windows, and the comfy sofa invites you to kick back and relax after a day of exploring. You’ll be able to rustle up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen and savour them at the dining table – although do keep in mind that the space here is limited to four. 

Nighttime brings the promise of restful sleep, with a choice of two equally luxurious bedrooms, both featuring soft beds and a lovely ambience. Wake up restored and start the new day with a cup of freshly brewed coffee. 
When you’re ready to venture out you’ll find yourself in a prime location for reaching many of the city’s highlights. A ten-minute walk will take you down to the harbour, while the historic centre with its winding streets lies a short tram ride away. 

A Tram Named Sunshine 

Here, you'll enjoy a waterside spot in Lisbon, surrounded by restaurants and museums. This stylish apartment boasts lots of room for four to work and unwind. Business travellers will find a bedroom desk at hand, but the dining table doubles as a laptop-friendly workspace if you need more room. Have some downtime? The vinyl record player is a nice bonus, as are the Juliet balconies on the windows. The lack of air conditioning won't suit everyone, but underfloor heating promises cosiness for the cooler months. Did we mention it's pet-friendly, too? You're well-connected with public transport here, and this home offers a free parking space, too.
