The open-plan living space feels almost like a hip New York loft, but the wall-to-wall views of the countryside quickly remind you where you are. Kids will love the separate area linked by a walkway, with its own bathroom and mezzanine bedroom. At full capacity, one guest will sleep on a sofa bed. With so much space here, including an outdoor pool and padel court, it's certainly not a dealbreaker.

And when it comes to explorations further afield, you can follow hiking trails through the surrounding countryside. It’s also just a ten-minute drive to the centre of Torres Vedras where you’ll find supermarkets and restaurants.

Surrounded by a variety of local shrubs and gardens of native wildflowers, this serene spot has everything you need for a blissful coastal retreat.

The outside space is beautiful. A quenching blue pool is the main focal point, with cosy loungers ready for days soaking in the sun. The upper terrace is the perfect place for balmy afternoons spent with pre-dinner cocktails. 

When you need a repose from the sun, retreat to the inside where you’ll find a light-filled contemporary space. The minimal design aesthetic features crisp white walls, full-height ceilings and a multitude of glass accents that beckons the light in and creates laid-back energy that synchronises with the Portuguese coastal spirit. This home offers an abundance of privacy as well as space for entertainment altogether - the upper living room is the perfect siesta nook whilst the downstairs lounge is designed for games around the coffee table - every guest is considered here.
 
If you want to get out and explore, beeline for Alfarim and Meco beaches with the home’s stand-up paddle board and kayak in tow (just seven minutes in the car), or discover the natural seawater lagoons of Lagoa de Albufeira (a ten-minute drive) or spend the day in the seaside town of Sesimbra to admire the pristine white sands be spoilt with a choice of seafood restaurants (a twenty-five-minute car ride).

Pine & Sands

This wonderful home is the kind you’ll fondly daydream about when you’re back at home, listening to drizzle patter against the windows. Everything you might want or need during your stay has been thought of in this luxurious and welcoming home, so you can focus on enjoying every last second of your break. 

The villa is bright and stylish, with decor and finishes that would be at home in an interior design magazine. It’s beautiful, with splashes of colour adding warmth and fun. You’ll wake up to feel the sunshine on your pillow, tempting you to head through the floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors outside to the terrace. Sip an espresso as you breathe in the warm, sweet-scented air. 

The outside space has been as thoughtfully considered as the house. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a sun-worshipper or prefer to lounge in the shade. Table tennis will keep the big kids entertained, while you cool off in the refreshing solar-heated pool. There’s a gym inside, too, so you can easily get a workout in – though we might be more tempted by a yoga session on the terrace. 

When you want to explore further afield, you might stroll to Galé beach, or perhaps hop in the car to visit Troia. History buffs will enjoy seeing the Roman ruins at Cetobriga, while golfers might choose to stay closer to home – Troia Golf is a five-minute drive from the villa. This is truly a holiday home with something for everyone – you’ll never want to leave.  

Tranquil Sands Retreat

This home is really made for spending time outdoors, with so many places to relax as the sun warms your skin. Overlooking your crystal blue pool is a delightful undercover seating area, so if you aren’t dining alfresco, you can pop your feet up on the comfortable white chaise with a glass of wine in hand. Venture inside and it’s just as charming – picture neutral colours, natural materials and wonderful open-plan spaces ideal for entertaining. We love the bedrooms, in particular – each has its own colour theme providing a calming effect to complement the tasteful modern artwork. 

On your way to the beach, just 2km away, crawl into the local restaurant for a spot of lunch. Comporta's coastlines are picturesque, perfect for lounging in the sand and catching the rays. After a day of soaking up the Portuguese sunshine, be sure to gather your loved ones around the built-in barbecue back at home for an evening watching the sunset and indulging in divine local ingredients. A beautiful contemporary villa with a relaxing zen feeling will be the backdrop to a wonderful holiday to remember.

In a peaceful golf private condominium, Nature's Retreat provides an idyllic setting for families, friends, nature enthusiasts, and golf players seeking a relaxed getaway. This is precisely the place for an off-the-grid escape, yet you're just a short drive from supermarkets and cafes in Carvalhal.
