With its light and airy ambience, this elegant apartment welcomes you to enjoy the atmospheric beauty of Porto. 

Just a minute’s walk from the historic city centre, this is the kind of space that truly reflects the timeless charm of its location. Set across two floors and bathed in natural light, there’s a refreshing simplicity to this home. From the gentle tones and textures to the minimal furnishings (crafted by young Portuguese designers and artists), every detail feels considered and intentional. So whether you’re savouring a quiet morning on the little balcony or enjoying a delicious candlelit dinner, it’s easy to settle into the relaxed rhythm of coastal living. 

Stepping outside, you’ll find the city’s main attractions are all within walking distance. Gilded days can be spent strolling the medieval cobbled streets of Ribeira (just a ten-minute walk away), sampling the local cuisine in traditional tavernas and admiring the sun-dappled plazas. Wherever you find yourself, this home provides a constant sense of sanctuary – a place to unwind and experience the magic of Porto. 

The Mellow Moon 

Situated on the iconic Rua do Almada, this home places you in the heart of the action. As you’d expect with a studio apartment, space is limited here, but it’s comfortable for a couple. That said, the space is well utilised and the home’s nicely extended with a private garden – just the spot for a glass of port after a busy day of sightseeing. Locally, you’ll find some of Porto’s hotspots on your doorstep, or you can jump on Trindade metro to hop across the city. 

The Porto Song

Located in Porto's iconic Rua das Flores – known for its cultural landmarks, shopping and restaurants – you're right in the heart of the city at this stylish apartment. With three bedrooms, a bright dining area and a Juliet balcony, it's perfect for family trips and friendly get-togethers. 

On the ground floor, you'll find an impressive open-plan living space, combining natural materials, modern furnishings and a side of industrial design to create a relaxing home. Abundant light floods in throughout the day, thanks to the large patio doors, while the green-coloured velvet sofa and wooden dining table make for a calm and comfortable space to unwind, eat and drink together. There's a sleek kitchenette that allows you to cook for your guests while keeping up with the conversation. Grab a glass of wine and perch against the balcony, admiring the rooftop views and spotting the city sights all around.

With beautiful Jardim de João Chagas and the striking Sé do Porto nearby, plenty of trendy eateries and lively wine bars right on your doorstep, and the Cais da Ribeira waterfront only an eight-minute stroll away, if your number one priority is a vibrant location, then look no further.

Hit the Roof

Make yourself at home in this light-filled apartment, located in Porto's lively centre. Perfect for large groups of friends or family, the spacious pad has been tastefully decorated with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. Whether you're kicking back on one of the vast L-shaped sofas or cooking up a storm in the bright kitchen-diner, you'll be surrounded by high-quality furnishings and thoughtful touches.

We're particularly fond of the parquet floors throughout, as well as the views over traditional Portuguese streets. When you're ready to get out and explore, you'll find plenty of worthwhile sights within short walking distance. Bibliophiles, we guarantee you'll fall in love with Livraria Lello, widely considered one of the world's most beautiful bookshops and just fifteen minutes away. From here, wind your way down to the River Duoro and grab a vino verde in Cais da Ribeira.

Cork & Timber

We had to break from doing some serious shopping to tell you about this Porto gem. This elegant apartment, housed in a recently renovated 20th-century building, is located right in the heart of the pedestrianised retail hub of Rua Santa Catarina. For fresh produce and a vibrant atmosphere, head to Mercado do Bolhão, a three-minute walk away. It's not all about shopping, though – the Chapel of Souls is a two-minute walk away, where you'll discover its beautiful azulejo tiled façade. Or take a break in the Café Majestic, a beautiful Art Nouveau café, a five-minute walk from this home. A little further, Porto Cathedral is fourteen minutes on foot. Then stop off at the small port wine shop opposite this home and take some back to this apartment.

Inside, there are furnishings from Portuguese designers and artists. Lots of large windows allow light to flood in. We adore the spacious open plan living space with its two French doors, which open onto a small balustraded balcony overlooking the street. Off the bedroom, there's a secluded terrace too, perfect for a coffee or glass of Port. Later, chill out on the mezzanine level or have a game of chess. There's plenty of room for a family or friends to spread out here. If you prefer to eat in, whip up a bacalhau à Gomes (cod casserole) in the modern kitchen and enjoy it at your dining table. Honestly, though, you probably won't be spending that much time indoors with so much on your doorstep.



Blue Sails

This bright and welcoming apartment makes for an excellent base in Porto. It was only finished in 2022 so it’s new and fresh, with crisp white walls and stylish decor. It’s ideal for a couple looking for a modern home in Porto. 

You’ll love standing on the balcony each morning, soaking up the sun as you sip your coffee. Prepare a quick breakfast in the petite open-plan kitchen before heading out to see the sights. This home is centrally located, so you’ll be able to easily explore on foot and by using the metro. You’re within easy walking distance of Casa da Música, ideal if you’re planning on catching a show during your stay. 


Sipping Port

Located in the historic heart of Porto, this apartment delivers the ideal setting for an inspiring city escape. From here, it’s just five minutes to Trindade metro station, while Bolhao Market and the river are within walking distance. Wherever the day takes you, this home provides a simple and refreshing space to unwind. It’s possible you may hear some street noise throughout your stay, but you will find all the essentials needed for an easygoing getaway. Complimentary toiletries are provided, plus your host can help organise airport transfers and sightseeing tours. 

The City of the Moon

Style and practicality go hand-in-hand at this Lapa district apartment designed by the famed architect Siza Vieira. Each bedroom is as light-filled as the next, thanks to those floor-to-ceiling Juliet balcony windows, and there’s a twin bedroom tailor-made for little ones. It’s worth noting the Metro overground runs close to this home – handy for getting about the city, but the passing trains may take some getting used to. But for a home this central, that’s all par of the course.

Vieira's Place

Location doesn’t get much better than this in Porto – on a charming shopping street just a couple of streets away from Sao Bento train station. It’s the ideal position to explore the city on foot, with the ancient azulejo-tiled churches and baroque towers punctuating orange-roofed buildings. On your doorstep, you’ve got family-run restaurants, charming coffee shops and bakeries serving oven-fresh custard tarts. Plus, the famous wine warehouses that line the Douro at Ribeira are just a short stroll away.

This studio apartment is a stylish spot to return to after a day exploring downtown Porto. Modern, monochrome artworks sit against striking bottle-green walls, but the first thing that caught our attention was the wall of stone-framed windows, looking out over the tiled buildings of your typical Porto street. Throwing these open, you can listen to the chatter from the street waking up in the morning while dozing in the comfy bed before settling in at plush velvet chairs for a classic breakfast of custard tarts and coffee. 

Rich Green & Wicker

They say good things come in small packages and this practical apartment lives up to the saying. As central as Porto bases get, you’ll be close to a host of cultural and historic must-sees, including Clérigos Tower, Porto Cathedral and the bustling Cais da Ribeira district. The many nearby restaurants make up for the pocket-sized kitchenette, and while the decor isn’t the most inspiring here, beamed ceilings and a sleek en-suite are nice touches we appreciate. Just be aware you’ll need to climb the stairs up to the entrance – but as another saying goes, all good things require effort. 


Camelot

Cedofeita is slightly off the beaten track, but still a part of Porto's busy city centre. After you pass the neighbourhood's cosy cafes and art galleries, you'll quickly get to the riverside and other central sights. Fernando & Amalia is a simple, immaculate home with ample natural light and high-quality furniture. The building faces a busy street, which is great if you want to grab a taxi – but the communal areas are a little noisy with the windows open. We did, however, like the Porto-inspired art prints in the living room.

This minimalist home is in the heart of Porto, just a fifteen-minute walk from the narrow, bar-filled streets of Ribeira and the grand Avenida dos Aliados. Not many duplexes boast their own private garden in the city centre. This one has a secluded sunny lawn and patio, surrounded by stone walls for the utmost privacy. It’s the perfect spot for a drop of the city’s famed port wine at sunset. Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living room has tall traditional windows letting in tons of natural light. Soft greys and pinks set a cool, calm atmosphere. There’s a separate sitting room with a dedicated remote workspace, should you need to catch up on emails. Bedrooms are housed in thick white stone walls typical of Portuguese design, keeping things cool in summer and cosy in the colder months.
