Our top tip for Lisbon, take the trams up the hills and walk down. Handily, the iconic 28 tram route passes close by to the apartment and can have you gazing up at the imposing Arco da Rua Augusta and exploring the winding backstreets and alleyways of Alfama in under twenty minutes.

Closer to home, visit the fascinating Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, which has an outstanding collection of art from all over Portugal and Europe. Finally, for a unique viewpoint, book yourself onto a boat trip and take in the city skyline from the River Tagus.
