Modern and striking, the gorgeous interior just about competes with the beauty of the outdoors. All rooms open up to the garden to let the fresh air in. Even the games room is bright and cosy – a welcoming space for good-spirited games of table football, or letting the kids entertain themselves with the games console. 

That said, we imagine you’ll spend most of your time making the most of the 8.5 hectares that this villa sits on. Start off your mornings with coffee in the early sunshine, then dabble in a spot of yoga in the garden. Succumb to lazy days of reading beside the overflowing pool, occasionally taking a dip in its crystalline waters to cool off. Enjoy lunchtimes beneath the shaded patio dining area, tucking into a meal from the barbecue.

As dinnertime rolls around, gather around the outdoor dining table and enjoy jugs of sangria, while the floodlights and starry sky light up the gardens. Don't feel like cooking? There's a fabulous restaurant just 200 metres away – or your host can arrange for a private chef to come and wow you with local dishes.

In the picturesque heart of Comporta, this home welcomes you to slow down and enjoy the magic  of outdoor living. From the heated pool and the stunning views to the thoughtfully designed rooms, every detail has been considered to inspire ease and relaxation. You can sit back and soak it all in from the terrace or the cosy living room. There’s a fire for cooler evenings and all the essentials you could need to settle in and make it your own. And when it comes to explorations further afield, it’s just 4-kilometres to the nearest beach, while the nearest amenities are also just a short drive away. 


Heaven is a Place

Situated in Brejos da Carregueira de Baixo, this home is made up of three gorgeous villas. Unspoiled nature surrounds the property with paradisal views, and the pool can be heated for an extra cost. During your stay, you'll have privileged access to the private beach of Brejinhos, with beach towels provided to help you make the most of it. We think it's a great choice for families travelling with kids – your host can provide a high chair and cot for an additional fee, and you can rent bikes or a buggy for exploring the area.

The Flower District

Nestled amidst an abundance of leafy green nature, this architecturally modern and unique home juxtaposes beautifully in contrast with its nature-filled habitat. With tons of personality and intriguing quirks throughout, one of the first things you'll notice is the huge circular window at the heart of the home. It features like a piece of artwork at the centre of the main living area, framing your beautiful surroundings and allowing you to gaze out over the golf course and peaceful pinewood forest.

Clean lines and contemporary designs style every room with warmth and harmony across the home, creating a truly comfortable space to relax between excursions and exploring the local area. 

There is a particular emphasis on the art of leisure here, as the host supplies bicycles, surfboards, tennis rackets, and tennis balls for guests to enjoy when lapping up the picturesque locale. Golfers and surfers will be thrilled with the home's close proximity to course and coast alike – you’ll be amazed to find that the home’s garden is actually set on the green of Aroeira Golf Course, one of Portugal’s largest. Whether you decide to go for a swing or a surfing swim, your host can help you book a session. 

Set in the suburban town of Aroeira, the home is just a thirty-minute drive away from the centre of Lisbon and an even closer, twelve-minute drive to Fonte da Telha Beach.

We love the distinctly bohemian, even somewhat Balearic feel of this unique holiday home in the coastal region of Comporta in Portugal's scenic Alentejo. When you’re inspired to explore beyond this private sanctuary, days can be spent embracing the waves on Praia dos Brejos beach, hiking through the surrounding countryside and discovering the natural beauty of the Alentejo region. 

Lotus Heart

If we were to tell you of a hideaway that sits in the middle of twelve hectares of lush pine forest in rural Comporta, you might imagine a certain type of home and we're willing to wager that it doesn't look anything like this wonderfully modern residence.

Not only does the boxy white exterior look visually striking from the outside, but this sense of awe will continue as you step through the glass doors. Our favourite space is the double-height living, which is flooded with natural light from the copious number of windows that line the walls. However, the modern brown kitchen and equally glossy bathrooms are sure to take your breath away, as well. The design throughout feels cohesive, united by a preference for clean lines, sleek surfaces and chic minimalism.

Given the agreeable climate that this corner of the Iberian peninsula enjoys, you'll likely want to spend as many hours outdoors as possible and that's easy to do here. The long infinity swimming pool is both wonderfully refreshing when the midday sun is at its highest and made all the more relaxing by the heady scent of fragrant herbs and vegetation that grow around the sides. There are plenty of terraces and balconies on which to take a seat and do nothing more strenuous than soak up the rays, but you can also find a tennis court if you fancy a match or two.

Although there's a strong sense of tranquillity from the isolated position, you don't have to venture far to find the Portuguese coastline. Carvalhal and Pego beaches can be reached in ten minutes or so in the car, and there are a few restaurants and bars to be found close to these seaside spots.


Finesse in the Forest

This modern home close to Portugal’s western coast is a great place for families or groups of friends. Each of the bedrooms comes with an ensuite and has direct access to either a terrace or private balcony. You will need a car (or bikes) to get around here, but it’s just a short drive to the nearest beaches and amenities.
