Just minutes away from the town of Healdsburg, you’ll enjoy peace and tranquillity here as well as the proximity to shops and great dining options – the best of both worlds. 

Arrive to be welcomed by a gleeful exterior, set against the lush greenery of the surrounding woods, and with the whisper of the river gently rolling by. You’ll be able to access the riverfront directly from the property, and your host also offers free kayaks and a bicycle, making it even easier to take full advantage of the stunning setting. The large patio is the perfect place to share morning coffee or a bottle of delectable California wine at sunset. 

Inside, you’ll find a bright and inviting open-plan living space, perfect for snuggling up and relaxing after a long day of outdoor adventures. We love the warm ambience of this space, with beamed ceilings, wooden floors and a fireplace for added cosiness. You can rustle up delicious meals in the well-stocked kitchen and share them with your loved ones at the dining table.

Outside of your home, you’ve got plenty of cute surf shops and cafes on your way to Pacifica State Beach (a ten-minute walk) – a favourite for surfers, photographers and nature enthusiasts – while San Francisco waits to be explored, just twenty minutes away by car.

Charge the Tesla at the EV charging station and then explore the trails of the National Forest backing the house or pack your beach bag and stop by the Pacific Ocean, a fifteen-minute stroll away. Sip on sundowners whilst soaking in the hot tub and watch the sunset over the ocean. As the stars speckle the sky, light the fire pit to keep the night going. Kids will be thrilled with the tree-house style bunk beds, a playroom packed with laser tag and a mountain of lego, the big screen projector in the den and the virtual reality set-up. Outside, this place has the wood-tiled cladding and white bannisters of a traditional Bay Area home, but the curved wall of windows in the double-height living room creates a modern feel. A chef’s kitchen comes equipped with more than you need for self-catering – there’s a chef’s torch for those who fancy whipping up a creme brulee – and a collection of spices, oils and condiments are yours to use. Should you need to catch up on some work, there are a plethora of modern office spaces tucked away too. 

The Curve of the Moon

Beautifully restored, it offers a charming and cosy base for those visiting Wine Country and looking to make the most out of their stay. Escape to the (wine) country with a stay at this stunning single-storey home, complete with its own vineyard. Vast floor-to-ceiling sliding doors reflect that life here is best lived outside, while its single-storey layout and open living spaces encourage you to spend time together inside and out. All this is only aided by your host's "take a bottle, leave a bottle" policy. 

Help yourself from the extensive selection before topping it back up with a bottle from one of several nearby vineyards. We can picture spending endless sun-soaked days sipping sauvignon blanc out on the front deck, with awe-inspiring views of the nearby mountains. Alternatively, why not share stories around the firepit as you swirl a bright pinot noir around your glass?

Good wine needs good food. Thankfully the fully kitted-out kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to unleash your latent culinary creativity. Alternatively, there's a gas grill in the backyard for chargrilled outdoor eating. With dinner ready, gather around the three-person breakfast bar or the gorgeous wooden dining table.

On days when you don't fancy cooking, the home is just minutes from Healdsburg, the epicentre of Sonoma County's dining scene. Its vibrant downtown is dotted with a mouthwatering selection of restaurants, from celebrated chefs to innovative up-and-comers.

At the end of the day, break out a book and retreat to the quiet of the reading room, or stretch out on either of the two super king-size beds before falling into a wine-induced slumber. Remote black-out blinds ensure you can enjoy a lie-in if you need it.

Climb the Vine

Wonderfully positioned to make the most of this coastal area – this home is a nine-minute walk from Pacifica State Beach. The jagged coastline caters to a whole range of visitors, from surfers who like to ride the bay's impressive waves to photographers keen on catching the beautiful light. Or go for a hike on Shelter Cove Beach, a six-minute stroll away. There's an array of surf shops and some fantastic local eateries on your doorstep too. For a more action-packed day trip, San Francisco and all it has to offer is just a twenty-five-minute drive from this home. Chic, coastal-inspired interiors, polished concrete floors, and vast windows make it a delight to stay here. We love the vistas over Pedro Point from the living room and balcony – enjoy a glass of Californian rosé wine while enjoying the views. Later whip up a Clam Chowder in the kitchen before relaxing on the comfy sofa – this place is all about unwinding.

Willow Cove

Surrounded by hiking trails, golf courses, and stretches of Pacific coast, this home in Santa Cruz not only has an enviable location, but it’s bursting with the potential for plenty of memories made. The backyard, alone, has a private swimming pool, tiki bar, and a swath of green turf that the kids will love running around on – especially when they’re hiding from the dinosaur. Now, although their ancestor is just a statue, the chickens are very real – find them in their coop when you’re making the rounds outdoors. Pass through trees, make your way up and down steps as you stretch out and shake off the last dregs of sleep, and refresh yourself with a morning swim before going back inside to brew a pot of fresh coffee.

Golfers can tee off at one of two courses only minutes away, and nature lovers can get up close and personal with the native beauty of California by setting off on the hiking trails. 

Spend afternoons reading in the hammock, barbecue at sunset, swim under the stars, watch family movies huddled together next to the fire. Visit the amusement park, the Bigfoot Discovery Museum, and eat more authentic tacos than you thought possible – knowing that this cosy home is waiting for you to return for some well-deserved R&R.
