Stay secluded from the outside world in your beautiful patch of Eden, while being only minutes away from fantastic local restaurants, wineries, golf, parks and shopping. Relax in the hot tub on the terrace without a care in the world or the worry of being interrupted, or sit out in one of several outdoor seating areas and dine alfresco under the California sunshine. In the evening, gather on the terrace under the outdoor lighting with drinks and discuss how to spend the coming days. There's no shortage of amenities to explore, whether you're looking to take part in sporting activities, sightseeing, or just appreciating the stunning beauty of Santa Rosa. Wine Country Rhapsody

This delightful Wine Country home is a superb choice for a family or group of friends hoping to relax, unwind, and try some of California’s finest tipples. A newly built cottage, this home sits just eight miles from Healdsburg Plaza, and a few minutes from Lake Sonoma. It’s far enough from town to feel like a real retreat, but you’re within easy reach of anything you might need. Best of all, there are dozens of wineries within minutes. 

As soon as you arrive, you’ll be taken by the stunning vineyard views – this really is a pretty setting. The home has been designed in the style of an Italian villa, with wooden floors and stylish decor. It’s wonderfully comfortable too – after a long day, you can curl up in front of the fireplace to sip tea and enjoy a moment of tranquillity. The kitchen is wonderfully well stocked with utensils so you can whip up feasts with no trouble at all – or, easier still, book a private chef to wow your guests. 

The porch is a strong contender for our favourite spot. Take a seat in a rocking chair as the sun is sinking in the sky, and sip a glass of the wine you most enjoyed that day. You’ll feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle. Continue to unwind by slipping into the hot tub. After one last glass of wine and a few marshmallows toasted over the fire pit, you’ll be ready to sink into a comfortable bed for an excellent night’s sleep. We love it here. 


Cabernet Cottage

Nestled in the city of Roseville, California, this modern home is great for friends and families. Well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional fee, and your host can provide a cot and safety equipment for little ones. You'll find a gym, shops, and Blue Oaks Park within walking distance. That said, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay here – it's less than an hour's drive to Sacramento, and a couple of hours into San Francisco for day trips.

Echo of the River

This comfortable North Lake Tahoe home couldn't be better placed to enjoy the lake in the summer and surrounding mountains during the colder months. Watercraft rentals are available to pick up literally seconds away - plus there's access to a private part of the beach with fire pits and loungers available for guests in the complex. While skiing, snowboarding and hiking are possible at Northstar, ten minutes away by car, and Alpine/Squaw, twenty minutes away. The home is light, friendly and cheerful, and is sure to please families and guests of all ages. 

Down by the Shoreline

Gain peace and perspective at this stunning Californian riverside home. This serene sanctuary is tucked away in a wooded knoll on North Fitch Mountain, and sits amongst the towering redwoods of this area, with its own direct path to the Russian River. This home offers proper privacy, so you can enjoy a peaceful stay with your loved ones without any interruptions.

Wake up each morning and cook up a delicious American breakfast in your fully equipped kitchen, and tuck in alfresco on your outdoor dining set while enjoying the views of the towering trees that surround you. Head down to the river, where you’ll find your own private beach, from which you can set off in your personal watercraft and go on adventures along the water. As the evening rolls in, fire up the grill and cook up some meats for dinner, before having a soak in the hot tub and watching the stars come out.

You’ll be well placed to explore Sonoma County, also known as California’s Wine Country – there’s plenty of vineyards just a short drive away. If you fancy exploring a new city, Healdsburg is a short drive away, a city packed with small-town charm, and with lots of bustling bars and vibrant restaurants to explore.

Redwood Riverside

Just outside of the village of Calistoga in the northernmost tip of the Napa Valley, you'll encounter this rustic yet refined retreat surrounded by acres of verdant vineyards and lush gardens. With no nearby neighbours, enjoy that all-too-rare feeling of seclusion, yet the convenience of only being a mile and a half from downtown Calistoga. The estate is divided across three adjacent villas – which helps maintain privacy for large family get-togethers and groups of friends – while there's a yurt on the grounds that makes for an adventurous option for the kids. Everything here is set up for outdoor living. There are no fewer than twelve sets of French doors leading out onto ~1,000 sq ft of balconies and ~2,000 sq ft of patio space. The large outdoor gazebo boasts a full outdoor kitchen with a serious gas barbecue and alfresco dining area overlooking the stunning pool and Jacuzzi area. In addition to the usual high-end outdoor amenities, you'll also find professional-standard courts for sand volleyball, bocce ball and tennis. We sense a bit of friendly competition. Take a peek inside the barn, and you'll find a private games room with a pool table, ping pong, air hockey, and dartboard and a large rose garden adjacent to the villa, which provides fresh roses daily.

Large Glass of Red

Set in Menlo Park within the San Francisco Bay Area of California – you'll be just a fifteen-minute drive away from the world-renowned Silicon Valley, home to the iconic Meta headquarters. Blending city living with an abundance of local nature, you'll find plenty of things to do here, come day and night. Take a short scenic walk to Bedwell Bayfront Park or discover the local restaurants, bars and nightlife with this brand-new apartment as your swanky base. 

Offering a hotel-like experience, this cutting edge condo comes with complete access to an array of incredible on-site amenities. The overall laid-back aesthetic gives us coffee shop vibes – we can hear the mellow soundtrack already.

While at the flat, you'll enjoy your own slice of privacy amidst a contemporary setting, you'll likely prefer to spend much of your time making the most of the communal social spaces. The residency was designed with leisure at its core, from the rooftop terrace with a fire pit and barbecue to the outdoor swimming pool and hot tub area. You'll also have access to a large gym, yoga studio and a self-serving coffee cafe. Come evening time; you may even hear the sports lounge, bar and games room calling your name for some fun.

Across the complex, there are plenty of seating areas where those working remotely can knuckle down to concentrate, or perhaps the living room of your apartment is better suited if you need your own quiet space? 



Coffee Shop Soundtrack

Breathe in the fresh outdoors when you stay in this home. This down-to-earth two-bedroom home instantly feels cosy on arrival and the two sitting rooms make it ideal for a family. We love the rustic interior, with its wood finishes and vintage posters. Lake Tahoe's picturesque landscape is never far away, so appreciate the beautiful mountain views straight from your balcony.

The great location of this residence puts you within one mile of Incline Beach, where you can enjoy a stunning stretch of golden beach, azure waves, and green pine under the Tahoe sun. You absolutely must visit Lake Tahoe National Park, which features the shimmering lake, beautiful woodland scenery, and various fantastic trails for you to experience. After a busy day out exploring the area, head home to savour a barbecue feast on the balcony, before cosying up on comfortable sofas with the kids and playing a board game or watching the TV in front of the fire.


Creek & Glen

One mile from the treelined Healdsburg Plaza, this home puts you within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The private terrace is perfect for alfresco lunches and fireside hangouts – why not fire up the Ooni pizza oven for dinner? A small office space and a Peloton bike await inside, plus a variety of streaming services and board games for cosy nights at home. Surrounded by scenic vineyards, romantic getaways to California's Wine Country have never been easier here, but hiring a car is pretty essential.

The Valley Stream

This recently remodelled cabin combines modern amenities with traditional architectural features to create a welcoming space and a perfect home-away-from-home. Light upon the Lake is just a short walk from Tahoe City, one of the most popular locations on Lake Tahoe. Famous for its beautiful views of the lake, easy access to tonnes of hiking and mountain biking trails, and plenty of great restaurants and funky bars, this location is one that caters to all.

Surrounded by redwoods and boasting vertiginous valley vistas, this gorgeous Guerneville home is the ultimate California crib. Featuring a fully equipped kitchen and open plan living cum dining room complete with gas fireplace – think traditional river cabin – and French doors out onto a barbecue, dining and lounging deck, not to mention a hot tub and festoon light strewn relaxation area, this stunning Sonoma County home is truly magical. 

Despite the charm of such wonderful all wooden interiors, it’s this home’s outside spaces, all enclosed within private, landscaped gardens, that really sing.  Whether you choose to laze on the sun loungers, hide out in the hot tub, or curl up on the outside sofa after a feast of barbecued delights, you’re sure to feel the power of nature’s nurturing energy as well as of the peace and quiet all around you.   

While you’ll be sorely tempted to bliss out in soothing seclusion forever, take just a short walk and you’ll reach both the banks of the Russian River, and the streets of downtown Guerneville. With canoeing, kayaking and hiking on offer, as well as flower power inspired cafes and more than fifty wineries within an approximately twenty-minute drive, you’ll be spoilt for choice deciding how to spend your downtime. 


Run Russian River Run

With its dark wooden frames and surrounding woodland, this home makes for a cosy stay despite its large size. Spread across a few floors, this impressive and innovative spot is somewhere between a townhouse and a lodge. It is just outside of the city centre of Truckee, surrounded by parkland and a river that keeps you close to nature.

In winter, watch snow grace the terrain and head to one of the ski resorts surrounding Lake Tahoe. The lake itself is a family paradise in the summer months when you can kayak and swim in it.

Back home, explore the nooks and crannies on each floor before curling up with a book by the living room fireplace. Lie on the plump sofas and make use of the large bathtubs to unwind after a day of skiing. The kitchen is modern and stylish, while the terrace is the perfect spot for lunch.
