The open concept kitchen is perfect for entertaining, with its sleek counters, polished stainless steel accents and imported stone flooring. Though it's not the biggest space, the floor plan has been cleverly designed to include a cool dining nook and plush living area, and a quick slide of the glazed frontage makes the space immediately double in size. With the soft, powdery sand of the beach literally on your doorstep, we doubt you'll want to go far. But if you do, you'll find an array of shops, restaurants and bars just a stone's throw away. 

My Blue Ocean

Embrace the surfer lifestyle with a stay at this fabulous waterside retreat. Overlooking Sail Bay and just a few minutes away from Mission Beach, it's the ideal place to press pause and enjoy some quality time together. 

The grand living space is bright and airy, with a fireplace for warming up on chilly evenings. In the kitchen, you'll find everything you need to whip up some tasty dishes to help the group refuel after a busy day. Or, you might prefer to flip some burgers on the outdoor grill, and enjoy an alfresco feast in the warm Californian sunshine. There's also a balcony with fantastic views over the water – it would be difficult to find a more perfect spot to relax on a lounger with a good book. 

With Sail Bay right on your doorstep, and Mission Beach only a five-minute walk away, you're likely to spend much of your time on the sand. Adventurous guests can try their hand at surfing, scuba diving, and paddleboarding in the Pacific – there are plenty of water sports centres offering lessons nearby. And, with iconic Belmont Park just a three-minute drive away, and the historic Gaslamp Quarter fifteen minutes away by car, you're not likely to run out of things to do here. 

Secret Mission

Known for its pristine beaches and optimal climate, San Diego is already a gem on the west coast of America. The fact that this beach cottage can also be found in the Mission Bay area makes the trip out to San Diego even more of a must. Ideal for a family stay or reunion of friends, think of this home as a portal to all things spectacular. The beach, for one, is a quick walk away, and so are a number of great restaurants and markets. Belmont Park is ready to keep you company for hours, but we especially recommend seeing it at night when all the lights make it feel extra magical. 

Spending time at home will likely result in burgers grilling on the barbecue outside – stay out there for long after, even as the sun begins to dip, to bask in the holiday feeling. The fireplace is great for colder nights where you can enjoy takeout around the fire before playing a round of Monopoly. Hit the boardwalk on balmier evenings and if you happen to end up with a taco in one hand and a frozen margarita in the other, well, we call that a good night.


Little Blue in San Diego

Positioned in La Jolla Shores, just a six-minute stroll from the beach, with its soft white sands and gentle waves, this home provides the perfect escape. Stroll the palm-lined streets, taking in the coastal air, and discover plenty of shops, seafood eateries, beachfront parks, an aquarium and a tennis court at your doorstep. From here, you're also within easy reach of downtown San Diego, just a fifteen-minute drive away.

The cobalt blue facade of this home charms from the outset. Inside, it's a light-flooded canvas of white walls, hardwood floors and a free-flowing layout, exuding coastal calm. Brimming with contemporary comforts and spread across two separate buildings, the main house and a self-contained casita out back, it's the perfect choice for families and large groups. 

Between adventures, soak up the Californian sunshine from the well-equipped outdoor space. With ample seating, including a shaded lounge and alfresco dining area, it's the perfect spot to entertain. After a day at the beach, enjoy a dip in the bubbling hot tub and fire up the grill for a cookout at sunset.

Realm of Palms

Live the dreamy San Diego beach life from this prime oceanfront location. Seconds from the sand and boasting balconies on both levels with breathtaking views, it doesn't get much better than this if you're after a break filled with sun, surf, and white beaches. Gather your group of loved ones for a big hearty meal, and fire up the barbecue as the sun goes down over the horizon. You'll want to eat alfresco every day, but have a break from cooking and walk to one of Mission Beach's restaurants - popular with visitors and locals alike. Chill out in the fully air-conditioned home, and drink fresh juice in the mornings as you slowly wake up at the breakfast bar. The living room comes with a fireplace and custom flat-screen TV, so you can stream your favourite shows or just put your feet up and relax by the crackling fire.

Pacific Watch

Perfectly positioned on the famous Mission Beach boardwalk, this location is hard to beat if you’re looking to stay right on the waterfront. With cosy private terraces and an outdoor grill area that invites you to dine alfresco while you breathe in the fresh sea air, it's the outside areas of this home that steal the show (though the inside is just as well executed). Warm and welcoming, you'll find wood-panelled ceilings and expansive windows that allow you to enjoy the Pacific Ocean views from almost every angle – a true paradise. The white powdery sand is just steps away, and within two blocks, you'll discover an array of watersport rentals, restaurants, markets and beach boutiques. 

My Blue Wave

Just a one-minute walk from Mission Beach in sunny San Diego, this beautiful beach cottage is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing coastal break. Built in the 1930s and stunningly renovated with a boho-beach vibe, you’ll feel instantly laid-back from the moment you walk through the door. Wood floors, white walls and bamboo blinds set the scene in the bright living room with its Dutch door to let the ocean breeze flow through, while the master bedroom exudes beach bliss with its wall of wicker ornaments. The second bedroom has a peaceful jungle feel with its forest green walls and even has a desk space with built-in charging ports should you need to catch up on emails before a day of sun and sand. Outside on the front porch, there’s a deck set up with a table and chairs ready to host alfresco dinners and lazy afternoons enjoying the welcome snacks and drinks provided. You’ll be sure to stay cool here too thanks to the overhead fan. When you’re not hanging out in your peaceful pad, grab the sun chairs, umbrella, sand toys and beach towels offered and head to the beach. Alternatively, walk ten minutes to the Mission Bay Sportcenter where you can rent kayaks, jet skis, sailboats and surf gear for a day of ocean adventure. 

Mission For Fun

Set on the beachfront of Mission Bay – enjoy sweeping views across the beach and out to the ocean waves lapping into the shore. Relax amidst the gently swaying palm trees as the ocean's breeze refreshes your mind and rejuvenates the soul. While relaxing is a given when it would be rude not to make the most of the conveniences and amenities of San Diego when staying here. 

From biking along the boardwalk to boating, paddleboarding, sailing and swimming – it's safe to say you won't be short of things to do in this neck of the woods. With Mission Bay Aquatic Center located just steps away, and breakfast spots, coffee houses, pubs and restaurants all within close walking distance – you needn't lift so much as a finger when it comes to meal times. However, it's nice to have the option of cooking at the villa, should you wish to rustle up your own recipes too. 

Spread across three levels, watch the sailboats glide across the bay from anywhere in the home – whether that's from the top-floor balcony or down on the ground-level patio with lounge seating. Grab a drink and station yourself ready to watch the sunset over the bayfront. Bliss. We couldn't think of a dreamier way to start and end your days here than with a leisurely stroll along the bayside boardwalks. Or better still, make footprints in the sand as you listen to the waves crash before you on the beach itself. 





Non Stop Waves 

Steps away from the water, Briarford can offer you all the delights of the San Diego seaside. There are all sorts of activities to keep you busy, from paddle-boarding in the bay to hopping on a sailing boat, or just having a cocktail under the shade of the trees in the garden. The interior is comfortable, with decent amenities, but honestly, this home is all about the location, and on that front, it’s hard to beat.


Briarford

From the surfboard on the wall to the proximity to Mission Beach (two minutes), this colourful home is all about the ocean. With a large, open-plan living space and sleek white kitchen, this three-storey townhouse is perfect for families or groups of friends looking to soak up the sun and catch some waves. The long black leather sofas in the lounge are great for movie nights, while the kitchen has enough space and appliances to host a dinner party. The bedrooms each have their own colour scheme too; the master suite is decked out in cooling greens, with a modern print hanging above the comfy bed. Things are just as bright in the third bedroom, where three queen-size beds mix up red furnishings against white walls. On warm evenings (so just about all of them), take to the beach – but make sure you're back in time for a piña colada and a barbecue on the Tiki-themed terrace as the sun sets.

San Tiki Hideaway

Just steps from the sandy beach, this home is something the whole family will remember. With breathtaking views from almost every angle, a garden and a stunning patio, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing beach break. Inside, we’re talking vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams for a real beach house feel, and each bedroom has its own en-suite and access to an outside space – be it a balcony or the rear terrace. Facing the ocean, there’s a perfect outdoor dining area and barbecue, so you can enjoy warm evenings outdoors together, and there’s a lovely pool and spa. Best of all, you’ll have your own private access steps down to the gorgeous stretch of sand between Windansea Beach and Marine Street Beach. If you're travelling with a golf fan, Torrey Pines Golf Course is a short drive away, and San Diego Zoo is a great day out if you’re traveling with children.

Seashells by the Sea Shore

Shaded by towering tropical trees, the best way to start the day is with the salty sea breeze in your hair here. Sun-soaked and earthy, we love the feel of this home. And it gets better. Just a few footsteps take you straight to South Mission Beach, where you have amazing restaurants, bars, and markets at your fingertips. While the beach is hard to tear yourself away from, we'd spare some time to explore nearby golf courses, shops, and the good old Giant Dipper Roller Coaster at the Belmont Amusement Park – all just a short walk away. At the end of the day, you can return to your modern-Victorian home for a soak in the tub and a barbecue in the private courtyard.
