This luxurious A-frame home is nestled in the Colorado Rockies. From here, you can enjoy stunning mountain views while relaxing on the spacious desk. There is also a hot tub, a barbecue, and a fire pit for magical evenings under the stars. Inside, the views continue from the open-plan living room which also features a fire – perfect for cosy movie nights. It’s worth noting there is a dirt road to access this home so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, but this is the perfect spot if you’re seeking an idyllic rural retreat. It’s also just a thirty-minute drive to Breckenridge Ski Resort and fifteen-minutes to Fairplay. 

Nature's Refuge

This is a home for the skiers and snowboarders amongst us. This ski-in/ski-out home sits just moments from the slopes, meaning you won't have to waste any time setting off for a day in the mountains. The modern exterior blends in neatly with its surroundings, while inside, guests will truly experience that alpine feel. Get comfortable in front of the stone fireplaces, soak your tired muscles in the hot tub, and enjoy family dinners under an antler chandelier. 

Snow Park

Set in the sought-after Summit Sky Ranch, a short distance from the main town, there’s a real retreat feel to this brand-new home. A dreamy base for holidaying with family or friends, the open layout is perfect for groups looking to socialise or entertain. All the rooms have large windows, to make the most of the mesmerising mountain views. We loved the round swivel chair and the large natural stone fireplace that doubles up as a smart TV in the grand room. When you’re not relaxing indoors, you’ll no doubt be spending most of your time soaking in the hot tub or snuggling by the gas log fireplace on your private patio. If you fancy hitting the slopes, the main ski resorts are 15 – 30 minutes away, but if you can’t tear yourself away from your mountain retreat, we wouldn’t blame you. 

Bluebird Day

There's no chance of missing the views at this Glenwood Springs home. The Rockies are framed in almost every window; can be enjoyed from three different decks and patios; and provide a dramatic backdrop to the outdoor hot tub. They’re a constant reminder of the nearby adventures you can choose from. Hot springs, caverns and river rafting are all within a short drive, while skiing at Vail and Aspen is less than hour away. But it's not just about the location. There are four reception rooms in this super-sociable home, a large and well-equipped kitchen, big, comfy bedrooms and enough bathrooms to limit morning queues for the shower. Modern and stylish, a great deal of thought has gone into making it the perfect home from home in the mountains – from family games to play in the evenings, to fluffy robes for the hot tub.

Mountain Factor

Located a fifteen-minute walk from the centre of Aspen, this picture-perfect getaway is a luxuriously modern take on the classic log cabin. At the heart of the home, a grand living space with enormous windows and vaulted ceilings is finished in a sophisticated grey and white palette. The exposed stone fireplace and comfy L-shaped sofa make for an ideal spot to keep toasty after long hikes through the wilderness. When the weather’s fair, spill out onto the deck and lap up the mountain views. Gather around the rattan dining set for meals alfresco or take a minute to yourself with a paperback and a glass of your favourite tipple. When dusk falls, roast marshmallows over the patio’s fire pit or come together for movie night in the cosy family room. After a peaceful sleep, wake up to the sunrise and lace up your walking boots. You’ve direct access to Smuggler Mountain and Hunter Creek Valley from the top of your street. 

Cottonwood

Make this warm and welcoming home your base for adventures in Aspen. In winter, you’ll love being walking distance from the gondola and staying on the ground floor (no struggling up the stairs with skis here). And in summer it’s just as special, with easy access to hiking and biking trails. There are two private patios (one overlooking Roaring Fork River) for breakfast or barbecues, plus two cosy bedrooms (and an additional sofa bed) so you can sleep soundly after a day on the slopes. You'll find a communal hot tub and heated pool here too – open year-round for an après-adventure wind down.

Serenity on the River

The jury has voted. This home has the best location in Colorado - no contest. Designed by architect Nathan Glassman, this award-winning mountain home has sensational, sweeping views of Copper Mountains. And the inside is just as extraordinary as the outside. In the living room, giant slabs of stone make it seem like the home has been hewn out of the mountainside. Here, neat glass doors completely fold away to expose one of three external patios. There's also a state-of-the-art kitchen, Sonos speakers built-in to the main living rooms, a hot tub large enough to fit in eight guests, a steam room in the master bedroom and family room to keep the kids entertained. In the summer, Raven Golf Course is just across the valley, there are hundreds of miles of bike trials to explore; and of course in winter you've got access to some of the best skiing in the world. 

Rocky Mountain High

Surrounded by nature, this East Vail home is the perfect spot to get your fill of fresh air. Newly renovated, it neatly mixes mountain lodge chic with contemporary comfort and, to top it all off, boasts picture-perfect views of the mountains. This cosy condo has everything you need to enjoy a stress-free mountain getaway. Enjoy a coffee or evening drinks on the private balcony, accompanied by mountain views, or unwind by the fire in the plush living space. The sleek kitchen is fully-equipped for at-home meals – that's if you're not tempted by the barbecue. Meanwhile, the shared hot tub is the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. Ideally located on Main Street in Aspen, the Rio Grande Trail starts from just behind this apartment building, and it's also just a short walk to boutiques, restaurants, and the world-famous ski resort.

Aspen Nirvana

Sierra Skies

Host Craig's deliberate and ambitious approach to hosting explains the extravagance that is Cherry Woodpecker. Every room on the upper level is adorned with gigantic works of art, dexterous ceiling details and cosy balconies. Each room embraces majestic views of the Aspen and Red Mountains. The lower levels, however, are more introspective. When it's warm enough, get some fresh air on the balcony and watch the winter sun illuminate Mt Daly. Soak in the freestanding baths, or head downstairs to the outdoor heated pool for a proper swim. The furniture is designer, and so are the high-quality appliances that will help elevate your experience even further. Even storage space in this home won't be an issue, as there’s a dedicated spot to leave your skis at the end of the day.
